Favorite Horror Movie?

I just really hated "The Ring" because there were so much left unexplained by the end, and it wasn't like there was a cliffhanger ending.

Did you know in the original japan version of the story, the videotape was infected with smallpox? People were watching it and dying a week later of smallpox. IMO that seemed like a much more interesting plot.

I don't know if it counts as a horror movie, but my favorite scary movie of all time would have to be Se7en.

You mean it was worse than the first Ring? Gosh, and I thought that one sucked.

I thought the first one was a good movie overall. It was too Americanized from the original I thought, but it got a nice creep factor going. The second one was just... well it wasn't bad, but it wasn't scary either. It just kind of plodded along. I saw it on opening night with two girlfriends and they were scared, but they're scared by lite weight stuff. It tried for the same creep factor and just dragged.

What other horror movies do you like? seeing as you probably have similar taste as me. I will be watching "The Changeling" soon. 1980 ghost movie sounds good.

That is a good flick. Very good I thought. The scene with the well scared the **** out of me as a kid, and still freaks me out. My guess is you'll like it. One thing I didn't like was the ending, too standard. Karma rebalanced and all that.

Did anyone see the Black Christmas remake? not sure if it is worth renting, havent read any reviews yet
