pretty basic- what's your fav. cigar, brand, body, etc.

i like arturo fuente, ashton, cao's are pretty nice-their cameroon series is smooth. i'm mostly a medium body cigar fan, like some heavy body once in a while. while i had em, some real cubans i got when i was in the caribbean were amazing.

being a teenager, and not having the legal ability to purchase cigars, I take what I can get... so far my fav. is a strawberry flavored white owl... haha
NEG REP ME PLEASE!

wow- you're neg repped like whoa.. what'd you do?!

Read his other posts.... he's a typical 17 year old jacka$$. Disrespectful and annoying in ToughChicks thread.

And Sooty, I wasn't going to **** on TC's thread... but what "point" where you trying to get people that are at least 5 years your senior to listen too? You need to relax and come across more respectful. Maybe don't post for a while.

A friend of mine works for the airlines and does a lot of caribbean runs. The cubans he brings me back are outstanding. People tell me that there is no real difference between the Dominicans and the Cubans, but I beg to differ. I've had Cohibas from both and there IS a difference.

Padron anniversary and the Padron 1926, they are awesome smokes if you could find them. Nothing quite compares in my opinion to Padron, if I had to pick a distant 2nd I would say a nice Cuban Monicristo A (as long as you have a good 2 hours to smoke it). I love a good cigar with a cup of black coffee.

Been so long that I can't remember exacts, but I was always partial to Arturo Fuente, Partagas, and Padron. Anyone else think the Opus X's are overpriced/overrated?

Do any of you have a cigar tutorial site or something? I like cigars from time to time, but have no clue how to tell the difference between a fine cigar and a piece of rolled up garbage.

I doubt I'll ever get into them enough to notice/care about the difference, but I'd like to learn a bit more anyway.

I prefer a mild cigar...a personal favorite of mine is Cabillero, but they're pretty hard to find....

Other then that, the box of cuban cohiba's my ex brought me back from cuba tasted pretty nice...

Since that was more of a treat and my fav. cigar is hard to find, I stick to macanudos or arturos...

I like black and milds...lol. I don't have much experience with cigars, but I have wished to learn more. I am not sure the difference either, so whenever i have bought some I bought some cheap ones. I like them every few months.

i personally don't like acids...kinda harsh...but give them a try, you may like em.

a bit too much dont you think? i do agree that perhaps he shouldnt have said some things....but they werent THAT bad considering how you reacted here....but everyone is entitled to their own opinion......

as far as age is concerned...why must that always be an issue? immaturity has no age. i see alot of immature people...at all ages.

back to the topic....

cigars....eh....i dont like cigarettes, but i do love the SMELL, only the smell of cigars.....call me psycho, i dont care!

I've had a wide range and definately found that I like the milder bodied in the winter/fall/spring and a spicier/bolder flavor for the summer.

I prefer Fonseca 989s or 10-10s (I like big cigars as I dont smoke very often, so when I do I like to smoke for awhile) for the mild and some type of Fuente for the spicier.

I had a CAO CX2 the other day, was very good also.

Yea, I love the smell of cigars aswell... The acid cigars are amazing ( smell), they are herbal and my nose is going crazy....

as for taste, i dont want to smoke those right now, Im in the middle of soccer season..

i prefer to have mild tasting, but strong smelling.. make sense?!

The Opus X is very good cigar but does not live up to the hype, not sure any cigar can live up to the hype of the Opus X. If you like mild cigars try a Monticristo white or an Ashton (not the VSG as tey are a bit more full bodied)

dwass, go to famoussmokeshop.com. Its got a lot of info plus you can order any cigar you want. I smoke the acids...1400 or the Kubas.

the cao cx2 is def. a good cigar imo. i bought a box of those. i've been impressed with the cao in general so far.

Honestly, Nothing compares to a Cuban. I'll take any Cuban brand or make over anything I can get in the states. When I go to the bahamas I'm bringing back a box.

to be honest, just a straight up blunt man... dont know why but if it makes you very happy, its very good

So, I'm going down to the bahamas in May. Does anyone have any recommendations getting some cuban cigars back without getting caught?

um? I dont know how they search if its with dogs or whatever... buuuttttt

my suggestion is : double/triple wrap in plastic bags, then place in socks, then spray lots of perfume/cologne. keep them on your person, not in suitcases.

Relabel them. However, I do not advoce trying to pull a fast one on customs.

The acid cigars discussed earlier are pretty decent smokes IMO. Their herbal smells don't really bother me.

On extensive research, there are some places I can mail order Cubans. Can't be any dumber then mail ordering a scheduled substance. I'll probably just do this, because they have a replacement policy if customs takes packages.

I really don't like acids because the construction quality is pretty subpar imo.

cuban cigars are a controlled substances? what the hell is that? do they get you high, ripped, or muscular? NO then there is obviously no reason to make them illegal doi

Um, They aren't controlled. But it's illegal for any american to perchance cuban goods.

To me Cuban cigars are definitly different then non-cubans but not always better. I have had some that had real draw problems and others that are great. For me I would rather buy a Padron Anniversary Torpedo, but a good cuban monticristo A is probably a close 2nd. If you have never tried a Padron Anniversary give them a shot they are awesome, outside of that I would recomend a nice AVO 80.

Okay maybe I can help.. if you want to stay around here, start acting like it. This is NOT some place where you come to hangout with your high school buddies and fiddle/fart around. I think I told you this before but if want to be treated like an adult then act like it.

Wait, theres an embargo on cuban goods? Isnt that against our constitutional rights? freedom, pursuit of happiness? Is it because of Cubas dictatorship... i mean they have to support their economy somehow.
