Is there anyway to visibly tell the difference in subQ, VAT, etc.??

SubQ (subcutaneus) as the name implys, lies just below the skin.
VAT (Visceral Adipose Tissue) surrounds the organs, under the muscle.

SAT you can pinch, VAT you can't.
