ive heard many times that its easier to turn fat into muscle than if you were cut and tried to gain lean mass. what do yall think abou this?

i didnt actually mean turn fat into muscle i know thats not possible, what i meant was is it easier to have a little fat on you and cut it and then its easier to gain muscle. ive heard of body builders who just eat and eat till they gain weight and get big then cut all the fat and start stackin on the muscle

im not sure whats easier to be fat and gain muscle or be skinny and gain muscle. its actually a good question i think. Maybe it does not matter.

if you are skinny tho dont get fat and then gain muscle just start gaining muscle now.

if your fat you might want to lose some fat to be healthier, get better workouts etc.

Bodybuilders usually pack on as much muscle mass as they can and whatever fat comes with it then they cut out the fat. Not really how you were saying...

when I was 4, people told me that the tooth fairy can convert teeth into cash.

Most people have no idea what they're talking about, period.

i've found better results being lean and gaining muscle rather than being fat and gaining muscle. But that could be as simple as the gains being more visible.

But i've heard a lot of pros talk about fat cells holding aromataze enzymes. According to that, the fatter you are, the more testosterone that will convert to estrogen. Not to mention, the food and nutrients which may be absorbed by more fat cells.

its equally hard because the body works sort of like a machine...for example if you were cut up and then put on a few pounds and then wanted to achieve the cut look again you could because your body has already done it and knows what it feels like and vice versa

Well it will be easier to bulk now, since you don't have to worry about fat gain. Then you can cut the fat and keep the muscle you gained. If you cut first, you'll have to worry about doing a clean bulk after to stay lean, which would be harder.

barring your protein intake was enough and you ate a maintence diet it is possable to lose fat and gain muscle while staying the same scale weight, takes a little bit longer though

If your fat and lose fat, you will look like you gained muscle.
If your thin and you gain muscle you will look like you gained muscle.
If you are fat and you gain muscle you are still going to look fat.

True for the short term, but if you gain muscle while fat and then get thin, you'll have a lot more muscle underneath. And if you get thin first and then bulk, you might look like you're getting fat again. However whatever you choose, in time people will notice a change for the better.
