just throw in a higher carb day once a week. Have complex carbs earlier in the morning.
Anything to keep your body from shrinking away, eating muscle, or losing too much energy to workout hard is important.
Best time for carbs are:
Breakfast, right when u wakeup
Right before a workout for energy
Right after a workout to replenish & grow
Those are the main times you don't have to worry about carbs hurting you as much. I keep my bodyfat around 7-8% year round this way, just by cycling my carbs correctly at the right time.
