I was advised to put a towel around the pull-up bar or buy a piece of rubber(mat like) and put it on there.

It really works your grip and muscles harder.
 
im guessin the same. When i used to wear gloves for about 2-3 weeks i felt like i was hitting muscles harder. I just dont like gloves though.
I feel good, i just make sure i dont sacrifice form for weight.

Great find though.
