.... so epi-andro is pretty new to me and I've been doing some very simple research. While yes, it's a (VERY) mild androgen, I've found some possibly negative attributes about this compound that might outweigh the ultra mild androgenic attributes.

Epiandrosterone is a natural metabolite of dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA) via the 5α-reductaseenzyme. Epiandrosterone is formed in peripheral tissues, from which it is released into the circulation and is ultimately excreted in the urine. Epiandrosterone is only a weak androgen, but it is widely recognized to inhibit the pentose phosphate pathway (PPP) and to decrease intracellular NADPH levels. [1] Epiandrosterone attenuates NO-evoked relaxation of pulmonary artery [2], although it inhibits angiotensin II- and hypoxia-induced vasoconstriction in isolated lungs and relaxes isolated pulmonary arteries pre-constricted with KCl.

The PPP pathway is actually anabolic in nature. Intracellular NADPH is also a very good thing. You wouldn't want to be inhibiting this at all really.

Bump for this. I did make awesome gains while using epiandro though.

Would this also apply to just androsterone, which converts to the same thing down the line? There's an androsterone product coming out soon that would save the worry if that's not the case.
 
Epiandro is a DHT converter. It's not specifically for size gains, though you may see some. It is mainly used for a test base with other compounds. It's major draw back, since it converts to DHT is hair loss for those prone to MBP. 800 to 1200 mgs. of beta sitosterol helps a lot.

Which brand of beta sitosterol do you take and recommend?

We know you don't make gains from epiandro, but according to gutter pump's research, it could potentially inhibit gains while using other androgens. I was just starting I don't believe it inhibited any of my gains, but maybe they could have been better? Either way, when I'm ready to go back on something like that, I'll use androsterone next time instead.

Yup, I'm concerned now too. I had thought epiandro would be a great DHT-type boost when on, but this research/info is troubling to me. I had thought maybe someone in the industry could shed some light on it. Maybe it's not a huge deal or maybe it doesn't have a big impact, but anything that's an inhibitor of the androgen receptor doesn't seem like a great supplement for this industry.
 
The PPP is one of three electron generating pathways in a cell and NADPH is on of the electron transporters. A decrease in both isn't necessary a bad thing per say just depends on how decreased or inhibited it is. Having a decrease in electron production from glucose would lead to more glucose being used to produce the same amount of ATP. This is a similar( yet different biochemical mechanism of Dinitrophenol)
