He said that he wants to have a worker program so that the illegal aliens can legally come over the boarder. The question Bill didn't ask is, if there are 3 to 4 million illegal aliens coming over the boarder a year how hard is it for Al Queada to come in via the Mexican boarder?
Good point, that was a question that should have been asked.

I personally, believe that we've got to take care of immigration at the state level and that Bush should simply pressure the border states to come to some policy conclusions. I believe most things should be the way our founding fathers intended.Federal <--> Local <--> State <--> Federal. Not just Federal --> State --> Local.
The problem is the states can't deport illegal aliens. They have to call the INS to do it. The INS is too understaffed and incompetent to handle it. So if local law enforcement pick up a bunch of Arabs and they suspect them of being up to something, there is a limited amount of time they can hold them. They have to call the INS and they never get there in time so the locals have to let them go. This has happened. I have read several news stories about this.

Really there are actually only 2 problems with illegal aliens:

1) WHat VG said; Al Qaeda and other terrorists could come in the same way and avoid customs.

2) They don't pay taxes but they collect welfare and other social handouts.

The second is easy to solve. Just eliminate the friggin welfare system once and for all FFS. I just don't understand why the heck we are just giving away free money to people who don't have a job and are too damn lazy to get one. How about instead, we just offer free child care to parents who work. That's it, that's the only social handout that is needed. Want money? GET A JOB. Can't find a job? Bull#### there are always jobs. Work at a Walmart or a Burger King if you have to.

The one that isn't so easy to solve is the first point. That is actually pretty scary. How's this for an idea: A WALL. Yeah you heard me. Build a giant wall between us an Mexico. If someone wants to come in, they'd have to try to climb it. That gives border patrols a lot of time to get there. Plus they can have motion sensors, etc. on the wall and when one goes off, we send in a squad of border patrol to tell everyone to get the #### back or they get shot.

That was exactly my point. The Central government has delegated itself too much power, taking away from state and local. It should be as simple as any little town who gets an illegal should be able to ensure he/she is deported.

Exactly! But, unfortunately, there is a number
3) Crime. In LA county alone, 90 or 95% of homicide warrants are for illegal immigrants from Mexico! About 30% of our incarcerated population is illegal immigrant mafia / gansters from Mexico. 60% of all felony warrants are for illegals. (Invalid Link Removed)

Well said. Not to mention that these people are stealing our social security numbers to get this aid.

I love the wall idea! I actually wanted two walls. That way they get trapped between the two and are caught much more easily. we can mow down the land between the two walls so they have nowhere to hide! :D You can have angry rotweilers waiting there, too! :p

How about a wall along the Candian border too ? That would be a massive wall, but it helps keep friggin terrorists away, the other thing I worry about is security at our ports.

If you want something to worry about, worry about this

‘Most frightening for Cohen is the relative ease by which neutron bombs can be created with a substance called red mercury.Â* Red mercury is a compound containing mercury that has undergone irradiation.Â* When exploded, it creates tremendous heat and pressure – the same type needed to trigger a fusion device such as a mini-neutron bomb.

Before, an obstacle to creating a nuclear bomb was the need for plutonium, which when exploded could create a fusion reaction in hydrogen atoms.Â* But red mercury has changed that.Â* The cheap substance has been produced in Russia, Cohen said, and shipped on the black market throughout the world.

Cohen said that when UN inspectors went to Iraq to examine the Iraqi’s nuclear weapons capabilities, the U.N. team found documents showing that they had purchased quantities of red mercury.Â* The material means that a neutron bomb can be built “the size of a baseballâ€? but able to kill everyone within several square blocks.â€?

I've always put 'red mercury' at the same level with cold fusion in terms of scientific realities (although the latter is now being investigated again by the DOE).

OF course that means both sides of the border ;)

Insentive Politcally-Incorrect Unconstitutional Walls!!! OH NO!!!
That could be a 'hate-crime'

Aren't water fountains being placed in the desert on the Mex-US border for illegal immigrants (so they don't die while walking through). I remembered hearing about this.

Being somewhat sarcastic but:
The UN has ruled the wall between Israel and Palestine is 'unconstitutional'.
UN saves the world again

Ridiculous.
In Oakland CA, DUI check points are being taken down because the Latino community complained that the check points resulted in too many illegal immigrants being caught.
Lovely, illegal immigrants are deciding policy.
Whatever California will regret their decisions later.

Yep...stupid, eh? They're saying, please feel free to break our laws. We'll supply the water and the helicopters.

The immigrants are supposed to be illegal but we're giving them direction, water fountains, and helicopters...hmmm

Not unconstitution, but "illegal". Annon just likes to say everything is illegal...except Saddam's actions, the Oil for Food Program, and the way the Muslim Gov't is treating the Christian blacks in the Darfur region of the Sudan.

Californians don't get to make decisions. Do you recall prop 187? Well that was overturned by out POS liberal judges in the 9th circuit. We're run by a bunch of POS liberals and minority leaders who "are not" American. I say that because they do not have "America's" best interests nor do they have "Americans'" best interests in mind when they lobby, protest, sue, etc. Latino Caucus, Black Caucus, NAACP, etc are all a bunch of racist douche bags who will destroy this country before they ever do a damn thing for civil rights or to help Americans.

Even Arnold is handing out needles to heroin addicts in California

I read the article about this early today. I am completely dumfounded by it. This action is should be offensive to everyone. It is placing the lives/safety of usa citizens below the importance of not upsetting illegal immigrants. In addition, the economy is always an issue and there is an economic impact from such action.

I don't even know how to respond to something so assinine. What the hell is wrong with this country?

I like the wall idea as well, and it could be built by either illegal aliens ready for deportation, or by US citizens which would help the unemployment rate.

I might have already posted this before, not sure

The border situation has gone beyond the point of polite conversation. There is an agenda here and Washington is implementing it, along with the bureaucracies in the Border States. It would appear that it is their intention to allow any and all parties to enter across our southern borders to effect the next part of their destruction of America and the installation of their malignant one world government.

Is there any question that every American needs to be armed to the teeth?"

That could help. Then you just put some of the border patrol where the water is. The PC crowd will scream and whine about it of coarse.

Illegal immigrants provide wonderful 'diversity' to our community!

Setting up water coolers in the desert is in the realms of the bizzare.

I never understand that axiom about the need for diversity in school in terms of academic quality anyway.

it doesnt work anyway, I went to Emory University for a while - and they flaunt their 'diverse community'. If you went into the caferteria you would have thought it was Mississippi1960

When did you go to emory, I worked at the CDC for a while back in the 90's? I still live down the street from there.

Especially when you have to sacrifice your cultural heritage in your own country in order to make them feel more at home...grrrr...

He's just gotten overly soft on democrats and republicans - "We'll agree to disagree - and let the audience decide." thats repeated over and over. I know he can't be partisan to push the 'fair & balanced' concept. But he's letting people off too easy.

Tell me about it. He tries so hard to seem "fair and balanced" that he definately overcompensates. I still can't believe that he tries to equate the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth with MoveOn.org. That's going to bother me forever!

O'reilly may be one step ahead of us. He's subtly pushing the Bush Agenda and his viewership is at an all-time high. He'll disagree with Bush on some minor isses - to seem non-partisan. And push the major issues. People end of agreeing with O'reilly.

Ugh im watching HARDBALL with mathews from Univ of Miami, all these liberals degenerate hippie types in the background.

BTW, the worst bullshit I'd hate to see in my home state (Cali) is giving the licenses to illegal immigrants like it was proposed a while back. How do you give PRIVILEGES to criminals ?

That is ridiculous. It almost looks like there is a covert plan to flush the country down the toilet. Mexico is a cesspool why would we want to turn America into that is beyond me.

Considering we all started in the same little area of Africa, it baffles me how so many places are so "different". Even if they are neighbors....

the republicans are going to be even come november with a this group of socialists disguised as 'democrats' because they are too scared in these debates

Ain't humanity great

Its a genetic thing, I think. Something about clan mentality and being suspicious of what is differnt than we're accustomed to. Its just a species-wide inability to overcome our natural instincts.

Or maybe people are just assholes. :)
