EC stack vs Vyvanse

Hello!

I used the EC stack about 5-6 years ago (when I was 30yrs) for a few cycles and seemed to have great success. Body fat got down to 9-10% (I'm in the 16-18% range right now. 185lbs). It was a good appetite suppressant too.

I started Vyvanse for mild ADHD about 2 years ago and obviously it's also quite the appetite suppressant. Part of me was expecting to see results similar to the EC stack as a "side effect" but I'm not really. I don't know if that's because I'm older now so things require more work (I work out the same amount. Diet is same) or whether the drugs work differently (aside from the appetite suppressant element). I seem to recall reading somewhere that ephedrine has a way of binding to specific receptors of abdominal fat cells to help break them down (paraphrasing here because of bad memory but something among those lines). I can't seem to find more info on that at the moment.

Any input is appreciated! Also, I'm aware not to comine both stimulants. If there is a benefit to the EC stack over Vyvanse I would find a way to cycle them with off time from both, which I can do as my ADHD is considered mild.

Thanks everyone!

You probably have less activity level then before or ate slightly less then. No diet pills make that much of a diffrence. What you said is the best thing about them and that they give you energy when calories are in a deficit and supress appetite. Diet is always going to be main factor. I mean eca works but it won't stop huge amounts of fat off plus you've been on the vyanese for two years so your body probably adapted to it and the appetite suppression is reduced. Same thing happend when I use to abuse the **** out of eca. Lol stops working as well after a few months.

Yeah they work different. ADD meds will probably give more mental benefit, but ephedrine activates beta-2 adrenergic receptors, so I’d expect more fat burning with that.

Why would Vyvanse give you any similar benefits to EC stack? Anyways are you solely hoping on this to do the job or you’re actually in a caloric deficit, hungry and doing cardio daily?

I’m on prescribed Vyvanse and it doesn’t work at all the same way it ec does in the body. Mentally you can think it’s the way because in some way they both make you feel like you’re on a high but Vyvanse doesn’t work on the metabolism the same way ec does. People who lose weight when starting Vyvanse lose weight because they don’t eat. That’s the worst possible way to lose weight because after the first weeks / months that hunger side effects is gone and now they’re back pigging and they’re back at being fat.

They don't work the same because there nothing alike. Also, how much has your activity slowed down. People think when you get older your metabolism slows down but it's not really true, we slow down and that changes are calorie demands.

Right now I'm 200lbs and my bodyfat is kinda high, probably 14-15% idk exactly but abs are fading. I'm injured and only doing probably 30-40% of my normal intensity and less total days in the gym.

3000 calories is basically maintenance right now. But when I'm not hurt and I'm lifting and boxing 5 days a week, sometimes 2hr sessions and working on a very physically demanding job 60hrs a week I can eat 4000cal a day and loose weight.

There's only 2 gurenteed ways to loose weight. Eat less or move more. Those are the only gurentees. If you weight x amount of lbs and yiur not loosing weight then you need to move more or eat less

I guess I initially assumed the main benefit to the EC stack was the appetite suppressant quality that's why I had the thought that they may be working similarly. But I wonder how much noticable benefit ephedrine adds by activating beta-2 adrenergic receptors.

This is why I have a issue with the new weight loss drug of choice that dr.s are handing out like candy.

Basically you take overweight people who can't control there appetite and you take there appetite away, now they still have bad food selections in smaller quantities. They starve off the weight with 1000 calorie junk food diets that leave them weak and skinny fat and when they come off the drug the get slapped in the face with hunger and eat all the weight back twice as fast as they lost it. It's even worse if they are a regular alcohol consumer. Nothing like Giving out a diabetes medication and then crashing out on cookies and booze over the weekend.

Bro I agree with you 1000000%. This is all we do in our society nowdays. We don’t address problems we accommodate people and we keep them weak. Instead of focusing on the mental aspect of this issue and making people realise the real problem here and developing new habits/ a drive to be stronger than those cravings… we simply drug them up into not being able to eat, then they lose the weight, get off the drug and gain 100 lbs again. Blaming a mental disorder or some silly fucking things. Instead of being accountable and realise they’re to blame.

It’s actually so so so side where we are heading…

Just eat in a slight deficit, 30 mins of low intensity cardio a day. After a week or two of doing this the weight will be coming off steadily and you just keep the train rolling

Oh dude yes. I heard a while back that there’s a new version of that stomach surgery that’s supposed to shrink your stomach, but they’re still able to loosen it so people can still eat a ton on special occasions or whatever. Like, if you’re so fat, you need medical attention, don’t be letting them keep getting fat.
