Physiotherapist is all kind of confused with my posture lol I came in with a "military back" and 3 weeks later it's slipping (though leg pain may be improving) the opposite issue to my initial presentation

When you do your physio exercises TOO much...

New week, new adjustments, lots of added core work (hate it)

She is great, recently re-certified too which was hard to find here

It is fun doing adjustments where she has me "resist against her as hard as I can" in a stretch

She's +/- 50 and not much strength/resistance

But damn they are good at finding ways to make the movements challenging as hell. I was doing some oblique work with her that had me doubled over
 
She have you doing any suitcase holds? That'll build some isometric bracing strength in the obliques for sure.
 
Starting a new job tomorrow, back to being on the road long hours so let's see how this affects my training...

Job is definitely taking additional free time from my days, lift is getting a bit rushed to finish and still have a night to enjoy

Diet needs tweaking too I think, just bumped calories twice and hit 4000 yesterday, woke up down 2 lbs.

Sitting at 179.5 and maybe even a bit flat feeling, more carbs on deci today I really like to keep weight loss at a controlled pace so I'll be tracking tightly and re-evaluating TDEE

I may be able to wrap up my cut in a few weeks and transition to more strength training until Spring. I really want my benchpress goal hit this year.

Program recommendations welcomed for bench press increase in intermediates

So. Jealous. Of those cals... I just bumped to..... wait for it.... 1800. And in the 3 weeks at that rate, gained 9lb and def noticeably softer. Fml.
 
^How I have felt for years.

These past couple have gotten me past that slump I'm hoping. TDEE will drop a good amount through Spring I'm sure once I'm sub-ten percent BF again but I'm hoping I can hold over 2k even at the bottom this time around

Supplement shift today as well, popped my last Erase Pro + this morning and I'm into my Anabeta Elite + now
 
Cube Predator is a good way to train the 6 weeks leading into a test day. If you follow all of the accessory, it is a very effective template. I have PR'd my bench twice on it. Doing 2 waves in a row is tough though...I strained my pec in the 9th week and had to bail out the time I tried to run it back to back, so unless you tolerate a lot of volume well you might just wanna leave it at one 6 week wave.

It was released in a free article on JTS Strength years back, and it is battle tested. The whole program is throughout the article. It's assuming you've got your own plans for your lower body work.
 
Ok lots to be updated here.

Re-did my chest days to the aforementioned Cube template, my forearms are struggling (old issue) but I just need time to adapt to the new workload. I'm also hitting the gym 90+ minutes right after work and some days that means I'm sore before starting

Weight is hovering around 180 still, which is welcomed until it stops snowing here

Diet has been 2750 cals fairly steadily, seems to be a good spot to keep me awake, recovered, able to at least maintain my lifts across the board.

Trying not to toy around much, only modification is for my chest days to see if I can push up 300 this year

Food is all over, crockpot has been used tons for chilli, curries, chicken & rice dishes

I always try to eat dinner with Klutzy so that is whatever we feel like. Plenty of thin crust pizzas she gets us at cost

Hyde, loving this bench press pyramiding, hitting it once per 3 days right now. I can recover in 3 and I am hard after this goal.

JUST missed 285 today after hitting 270x3.
Think it would be mine if I warmed up and went strait to it.

I re-fed heavy last night though lol. I think I ended up eating 4500 cals, oh well it happens.

On this plus side, ice cream tastes good
And full glycogen stores for chest day is one hell of a feeling.

At least a screwed up knee doesn't inhibit me on bench press I guess, but deadlifts are out later. It's real bad, can't bend it or hold much weight on it.

Yesterday was a heavy leg day, I must have done something then. I haven't popped this many pain pills in months. Couldn't drive my car (stick) and can barely sit on a toilet.

I still went into work, dropped and broke $50 of product in my first 30 minutes so now I'm home where I should have stayed.

Yeah that's a bummer. I'm sure your character shows you wouldn't take advantage of fringe benefits from being salaried. I wouldn't stress about it to much.

To bad the overtime/salaried law is being held up here in the states. I could use another raise lol

Never before.
Went into work and shouldn't have again. Day went 2 hours longer than normal because of my limp and slowed pace

But I took good care to keep weight off it, hell I was even using cruise control in the city to have less pedal use lol. Hoping I'm in good enough shape to get behind my drum kit tomorrow

Goal is aesthetic, so kind of hard to define... I want to look the best I can naturally. I'm guessing I'm at 15% right now. I want to see this frame at 10% and gauge from there some more specific goals. I never really got defined abs other than as a skinny runt lol so that needs to change. Strength goal is to crush that 300 BP, and then just get back to a higher lift weight vs. bodyweight ratio. I love that feeling, where everything just seems light, pullups/chins are easy as hell, I bet you know what I mean on that one Boone, and Money for sure.

I am going to consider competing up here in Toronto if I feel confident enough but that would be next year and I would need a coach riding me.

100% get you. I'm in very much a similar place/mindset myself. My big issue is I'm having a brutally tough time picking single or fewer goals and spend too much time spinning my wheels with all of them because of it.

One thing I don't know about at all is feeing light pull-ups/chins haha. I've never been able to do more than like 8-10 even at my skinniest (couldn't even do 1 in high school until my sr year)... I'm an upper body strength pipsqueek for life ha.

Easter weekend = diet is more or less off a few days. Still lifting so I will put the cals to good use!

Lifts have all held so far, but bodyweight is static

Frustrating to plan my next moves. After the weekend I will definitely be making another calorie cut and we will see from there!

Ok, training updates

Finally things worth saying, progress made!

BenchPress goal of 300lbs was just hit at Bodyweight of 189

I'm pretty ecstatic.
Time to bug my old man (small frame like me) who spent his youth chasing and coming just short of this goal.

Will not be immediately maintained, really need to get back on track with my diet. Kept pushing my BW higher chasing that lift.

Target is 175 by fall, then back to more strength training towards winter. I will keep benching 2x a week I think, just more hypertrophy geared for a while.
Hyde I want to thank you for all the past help and input for my bench, I owe you a meal!

Hey man I'm very glad to hear you got the goal! Many men never break the barrier in their lifetime, it can take a lot of work for most.
 
I chose my strongest lift for my goal, getting a decent deadlift would be a much different story I think
