Dr in California

I just want to let you know there is a new Dr in Orange County, California specializing in male HRT and integrative medicine who uses approaches similar to mine by looking at the root cause and trying to get your own started by examining what factors may be preventing your own body producing its own. They also use bio-indentical as well as the shots and are up to date on the lastest HRT techniques. I do not want this to be an advertisement, but I know I get a lot of request for Dr's who are respectable and affordable in California.

I would be incredibly grateful to get a name of a respectable HRT physician in Orange County CA. I have been to a couple of endocrinologists but, after asking the questions suggested in the forum sticky, did not feel comfortable with their experience and / or knowledge.
For what it's worth, I am 47. I have been physically active since high school. Mostly a combination of lifting and running / cycling / swimming. About 5 years ago I started doing more lifting and metcon, less endurance. Two years ago I was 190 lbs with 10% body fat (measured by DEXA). Last month I was 175 and 19% body fat (also DEXA). I eat clean (consistenly stay on a paleo plan) lift heavy 4 days and 1 - 2 metcon type workouts a week yet I seem to be whittling away. I've also noticed a significant increase in my fatigue levels despite sleeping more. Any help is appreciated.

First you need to identify what is going on. One of the best is bay area Dr Mariano, but he is a specialist in this area focusing on hormones and thyroid. There may be other factors out side this that need to be covered. He would be a good place to start IMO. Hes not covered by insurance just to give you a heads up. Dr Gordon is good, but extremely expensive.

Thanks for the suggestions. I need to be in San Francisco next month for work so I'll try to get an appt with Mariano. A guy at the gym suggested Dr Sarabi at Griffin Medical Group. I haven't been able to find anyone else that's used them. Not sure if their pricing is competitive. It's posted on their website as $400 a consult with 4 required in the first year. My PPO will cover but they don't accept any insurance.
