no official update for today really. Just that i lifted some weights, taught a buddy of mine who is just getting into it how to lift properly and do some olympic style stuff, and drank a 6pack of SmithWicks...lol. Its been a tough week.

yeah well...this week is tough. I had that 6 pack last night and tomorrow is our baby shower where i'm sure to at least have a burger and hot dog and maybe a few more beers. Its a tough week on the nutrition end...but I will make up for it with workouts!

I wanted to hit KBs today to test my snatch levels...but with the setup, final planning, and final shopping for the shower, I literally had NO time to myself today. Tomorrow morning we have a doctor appointment at 8am and then the shower at 1pm so tomorrow looks bleak also. Sunday is my first USTA match of the season.

It was really nice. I got to see a lot of people I don't normally see and stuff. I spent a ton of time cooking so I didnt get to catch up with all of them like I would have liked to...but it was really good.

yeah man...it sounded like my house was going to fall down with all the thunder, haha. Im just glad its clear now...even though its cold as feck.

How were the movies? I wanna see transporter 3 pretty bad. I REALLY wanna see Taken though.

Never Back Down, even though I've seen it about 14 times, is still awesome, lol. Transporter 3 wasn't too bad but I don't think it was the best of the series. Taken was pretty awesome, I saw that 2x in the theaters, and I def. liked the new Fast & Furious.

Day 51

Summary
I didn't realize how long it's been since a REAL update! ugh...what a mess. Well today was the first USTA match of the season for me. The team had a match 2 weeks ago that they lost, but this was the first match I was playing in. Conditions were tough today with a lot of wind and kind of chilly...but I was happy to be on court.

I hit very well today. My serves were on point, my volleys were crisp, my shots on both wings were tight and nasty, and my footwork was near flawless. The saddening aspect of this is that I cannot say the same for my teammate. I don't blame him since he hasn't had much of a chance to hit so far this year...but he definitely was not on point today. The only 4 games that we won in 2 sets....were my 4 service games. We lost 2-6,2-6.

After the match was over, I teamed with a buddy of mine who I wish I was playing with this season, and we played a set against 2 of the other people on the team. In a SUPER close one....we took the set in the tiebreaker 7-6(1). It was a really fun and well played set.

also, just wanted to add that before tennis for the last few weeks i've been using new Cordygen v02 Ultra and this stuff is seriously something intense. During today's match and even through the practice set afterwards and the warmup's before....I wasn't breathing heavy AT ALL, like ALL DAY.

Sorry for no update yesterday everyone. Things have been kinda tough lately so I haven't been on this updating as much as I should. I will get one up tonight for sure.

I did have a good workout today and I hit snatch numbers by a large margin of time....but I don't feel so well right now. I think I will lay down and hope to be able to sleep. I will update in the morning for today.

Summary
Sorry the update is a day late...I felt like crap last night and really just wanted to take my Zmk and Somnidren and go to bed. I had a not so good day yesterday so by the time it was time to workout....I was looking for serious vengeance. I was going for my 16kg snatch times and I had a buddy of mine come with a stopwatch so I could get exact times rather than just up to the minute times by checking my phone. I had to put the bells down a few times (which is not allowed in competition), but I smashed the times otherwise. My buddy said I looked like a beast...heh.

I forgot to mention that after the KB workout and a little stretching, I went with that buddy that timed me over to the softball field and played for a little over an hour. Just basic tossing, fielding, and hitting...not an actual full on game...but it was a workout nonetheless...especially right after beating my arms to crap with KB's

Day 54

Summary
Man...I was sore for at least half the day today. I literally didn't get out of my pajama's until almost noon...it was awful. Did some stretching to loosen up a bit and then went on about my business. The best news today had to bring = my MST order arrived. Thats always a good day. Welcome new bottles of Cre-02 (new version with poria cocos instead of ALA), Cordygen v02 Ultra, and the new veggie cap version of MVP365. Awesome.

The rest of the day was fairly bad...again. I had USTA team practice tonight and I just couldn't get my head on the court. I was there physically but mentally I just couldn't get it done. Lucky for me it was only practice...but it was awful. I felt bad for the people I was hitting doubles with. In the end after 4 sets, we lost 3 and won 1. Final results = 4-6,6-3,3-6,2-6.

Also for anyone that cares, I will put an updated list of supplements in a post after this. I will be starting something new next week so i'm pumped :)

I only use my sleep aid's on heavy lifting days also. I'm thinking about making ZMK a staple along with GUT Health.

I only ever had one bottle of it but I could definitely tell I felt better while I was using it. GUT Health and Reverse = the ultimate well being stack !
 
I think you'd notice a vast increase in your ability to handle heavier weight as well as your ease of endurance if you took ZMK nightly as a staple. It has really helped me over this past year get to places I had been trying to reach before.

I've only ever tried samples of everything by MST, but I liked Rag, ZMK, and Somni the best.. I think I may need to pick up some warrior melon Rag and ZMK :D
 
warrior melon is the kind I use. I use stim free though because I always end up getting caffeine from another source throughout the day. Love the Rok!!

I use it now...but I didnt list it because I use it like once a week just for a change of pace, haha

It's the best tasting/most refreshing pre-workout mix I have ever tried... It also has a killer profile, so taste isn't the only thing I like about it lol :p

Summary
So another day that I felt pretty sore. I had planned to do yoga but with all the stuff I wanted to get accomplished, that kinda fell to crap. I did some minor stretching but otherwise....nothing to note as far as workout goes.

I did manage to make a rough draft of the first logo i'll be using for my training company. I am posting it in the pic section of this update.

impressive supp list CT! How would you compare the new Ultra V02 to the old formula??

the new version is definitely a better feeling to me personally. This version has completely fixed any issues that people were having with stomach discomfort...and it definitely hits when it hits, haha

Day 56

Summary
Today I have laid something to rest for at least 9 months...maybe longer. What i'm talking about, is my tennis season.

It was a very hard decision for me...but it was the right thing to do. Honestly, I should have done it sooner, maybe not even chose to pick up the stick this year. I knew that with the twins coming that it was going to be hard for me to get on court and really play...but now that we're at the point where my girlfriend really needs me around, I am done hitting this year.

I may hit randomly here and there...but my USTA season is complete. I spoke with my team captain's today and expressed my regret in resignation and they understood and told me they hoped I return next season (which I plan to). Now I will have to use my little free time here and there to continue to train to compete in the Kettlebell Lifting.

just for referece....I hit with my buddy Shawn today who plays on a collegiate level. I hit well and so did he. We didnt hit a set, but it would have been close. I was slightly off balance and my head was off....so he may have gotten me.

I like to think you're right...and I have faith that even though its very hard for me to give it up right now...it will pay off in the long run.
 
No official update today everyone, I ended up taking it as a day off. I did however eat very clean, but I tried to do some KB stuff and my body just wasn't feeling it at all. I will more than likely do some KB's on the morrow though.
 
Sorry about the no update again for yesterday everyone...i've been trying to keep my mind and hands as busy as possible.

I will update later on for today...but for yesterday I cheated by having 2 beers but I also played 2 hours of tennis as well as 45 minutes of hockey and didn't sway on nutrition.

Day 61

Summary
I have to start off by saying that before bed last night I had 2 glasses of Grey Goose and I have already had one tonight. I guess that throws off my nutrition...but uhh....f*ck nutrition :)

I have a dry erase board on my refrigerator of all the things I need to accomplish for the house and the babies. I make it in the morning when I get up and it serves as my guide to the day lately. Today out of the 8 things I put up there, I got 6 done....so I felt I did a good enough job to play a little tennis since I was sitting here doing nothing else at the time. I also ended up picking up the carseats that finally got delivered to wally world and picking up the bottles from the post office that I ordered from amazon (10 - 3 packs of bottles....ugh).

Hit well tonight. So actual sets, but I was hitting singles with the team captain from the USTA team that I resigned from. They had an odd number and he said he'd hit with me. We were basically just having me serve the entire time and playing out the points from the serves I landed in. I hit well.
