I can explain it, but I use words rather than memes, so you probably wont get it....
Oil/gas is a "world" commodity.
Even if we have a great supply here, global shortages raise prices around the globe. And we live on the same globe.
Russia is a major supplier (12% of the world) and they are at war (because Biden was too weak and frail to stop them)
Iran is trying to shut down the Strait of Hormuz where 20% of world oil passes through, by attacking ships
And The Houthis (armed and trained and controlled by Iran) are now attacking ships coming south out of the Red Sea thru the Bab el-Mandeb Strait (another 5% of world supply).
Venezuela has 17% of the proven world oil reserves, but only produces about 1% of the world supply because communism destroyed their growth and efficiency. Like the democrats DSA are trying to do here.

Iran is shutting down the Strait, due to the war of aggression waged against them.....the Strait was obvious open prior to this quagmire....
And , supposedly, every war game simulated had Iran closing the Strait and the Houthis getting involved as well in the Red Sea

And when the Strait was open prior to this war, Iran was ALSO still working towards building nuclear weapon. I am not saying they were 2 weeks away, or 2 months... but that is the very real problem. Why do you think Iran built secret nuclear labs hundreds of feet underground at Fordow and Natanz???? Why do you think they enriched uranium past 60% that has no other purpose than to build a bomb???
And Iran still has their underground nuke lab at Pickaxe mountain which we have not hit at all yet!!
If Iran gets a nuke, that also means a nuclear armed Saudi Arabia at a minimum. And which also means those nukes could get in the hands of the terrorist groups that Iran arms, like Hamas and Hezbollah and Houthis. Are you OK with terrorist groups having nuclear warheads???
And that also means the next missile Iran ever launches at Israel or Saudi Arabia could have a nuclear warhead on it, so those countries have to assume the worst and fire their nukes back as soon as they detect a launch.
You think gas prices are high now, imagine what happens after a nuclear war starts in the middle east!!!!

There is NO blackmail. That is dopey conspiracy talk. The US has ALWAYS said they would prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear bomb, for over 40 years and presidents from both sides of the aisle. But every one of them punted and let the problem grow. Trump hates war, but the threat was growing too large and he was the one that finally had to act militarily.... even if it costs him the election. Because its the RIGHT thing to do.
This radical islamic regime in Iran is the problem. They have been attacking US interests for 50 years. They have been screwing around trying to shut down the Strait since the 1980's! And they were building so many missiles and drones for the sole purpose that no one could dare stop them from going all the way with a nuclear bomb.
I hope this regime falls and the sane/smart Iranians that ruled under peace and prosperity thru the 1960's and 70's come back into power. The world would be a better place. Its your world too. Wake up to some very real dangers from really bad people.
