Quest - here is a quick way to look at the moon thing. We did make a giant Saturn rocket. Several. You can personally see one at Cape Canaveral even now (I highly recommend the Space Shuttle video and tour, too!), The whole world was watching, especially the Russians, and they have radar and astronomical equipment just like us. We ALL saw the giant Saturn rockets take off with astronauts inside, numerous times! Would you suggest that all the tech engineers in NASA hid that we didn't go to the moon, that the giant rocket launches over and over were just to do a few laps around the earth and come back, and that Russia and the rest of the world who could also track the launch were somehow helping to hide the failure??? The Russians would have liked nothing more than to show we failed!

It would be pretty easy for the entire world to track the velocity of the Saturn rocket on its launch, and to calculate and KNOW (prove) if it was going into low earth orbit or heading out fast for a full moon trip. Who would we be fooling??

But if there was ever any doubt about what we could do decades ago, it was erased with our recent efforts. As we prepare for the next moon landing, we have had the LRO (Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter) taking high def pictures in prep for new landing sites. And it was able to send back pictures where you can SEE the prior landing sites, descent modules, equipment, and even footprints and tire tracks from the lunar buggy~!! Exactly as was described in the official version of the story. And also independently confirmed with photos taken by China in their recent moon landing effort.

I was thinking some more about this.... so many media outlets all throwing this 40-mile convoy phrase around. Seems contrived.

But if you do the math, say a T72 tank is around 35ft long. Say two per 100ft in a convoy with some driving space in between. That would be roughly 105 vehicles per mile. So 40 miles would be about 4200 vehicles.... tanks, bmp's, rocket launchers, troop transports, supply trucks, tankers.... pretty easy to think Russia has that many vehicles in the game. Probably not a full 40 miles anyhow. I've heard some military guys on TV saying its actually a 17 mile long convoy, Still a sh1t-tonne.

And yeah, its hard to believe that they are parading them into Ukraine to slaughter the people without a care in the world about NATO doing something about it... but guess what, we have mumbling Joe Biden at the helm and he has slurred over and over again that we are NOT going to do anything about it. And we didn't.

Maybe we should?? Imagine what a few A10's with F22 escorts could do in less than an hour !!! :cool:

I don't blindly consume what ANYONE tells me, especially not CNN. I am more of a Breitbart, FOX, BBC, RT viewer and then try to decipher the truth from the various different viewpoints. I question every narrative, even the wacky conspiracy minded stuff. You could do with a bit more questioning of the stuff you claim to believe. After 6 manned missions to the moon, how much more did you want to accomplish? Was there another rock sample you needed to bring back? Speaking of which - another great example for proof of our manned mission to the moon. Look up "Surveyor 3" probe. It had landed remotely on the moon in 1967 and 2 years later Apollo 12 visited the same site, was able to take pictures of the Surveyor 3 sitting there, and bring back some actual parts from the probe to prove it was there (and that THEY were there).

Now that we have landed rovers on Mars (also very real) we are preparing for a manned trip there. Another giant leap for mankind! And NASA thinks the best way to Mars is via a moon base, especially since we now know there is ice on the moon (meaning a source of hydrogen). Thus the new interest in an extended stay on the moon to build a semi-permanent base. (*note - elon musk thinks the best way to Mars is a direct flight in his giant new Starship, refueling in orbit before heading out)

Idk, I'm not denying we have been there it's just hard to believe that with the technology we had then we did it. I mean the strongest computers were enormous. Not that the command module needed a supercomputer. But just look at the size of technology then.

I see how they avoided the radiation belts and Like you said Russia would have or could have proven otherwise. It's just the leap in technology in approximately 1 year (could be wrong been long time) from wondering what would happen to a monkey in the upper atmosphere to what they achieved.

What have I claimed to believe? You’re the one that has such strong convictions about a war thousands of miles away. I’m simply saying things seem fishy and the media has been caught lying a ton. I think the problem is your brain tells you you have to pick a side and tell yourself it’s truth. This is probably rooted in the fear of the unknown and a comfort mechanism. I would love to know the truth of everything, but I have to accept that I won’t be able to. Since your the "how much your gas" guy, Im seeing up to $4.19 a gallon for economy now. I hit one last gas station, some have them at $3.99 but it seems like as the trucks refill the price goes up quick.

Filled my oil tank last week at 4.09 now same place has it at 4.59.

I think my wife is starting to understand what I was trying to tell her a week ago how significant and different this is that the other skirmishes the US has been involved with. At first she was like, thats all the bombing going on? I told her this is just getting started and now these cities all look different just a short week later. Its really sad.
