Donald Trump running for president

He said back in December-January. That was pretty early on in the timeline as far as US cases go, no?

He better write to the New England Journal of Medicine for a retraction of this case study on the first US case in January. Invalid Link Removed

Or maybe he can just stop being an arrogant prick who got caught lying about what he saw on Fox. Him and Dan the Florida man are being quite the keyboard warriors lately.

What they do in clinical trials is have investigator-assessed vs independent review committee (IRC), where samples are sent off to be blindly tested. So maybe something like that, but the numbers are massive compared to patients in most clinical trials.

Even if you go off the testing though, it's not clear-cut, which is why the wording is vague. A patient is 65, smoker, with heart disease, and sleep apnea. He dies and tests positive, so what was the cause? And I don't think this example is a stretch for a lot of US citizens.

I know there was an Italian study that did point out pre-existing conditions in the death total. They broke it down to age group then showing 80% having 3 or more pre existing conditions, 20% having 1 and less than 1% having none. Keep in mind I did not read the direct study in whole.

When us the last time you checked your estrogen @Aleksandar37 you get pretty emotional about all if this.

Age group is probably the best way to look at it, honestly. There's always going to be a few younger people with congenital issues, but they're going to wash out in such a large sample size. Same with the elderly, but in reverse...there's always some 102 year old woman who has smoked cigars and drank whiskey her whole life and continues to beat everything.

I heard that the CCP were made sure to add in a pandemic clause in that trade deal Dump boasts about...just a few days later the first case was reported officially by the CCP.

If this is true this can partially explain a delay, I’ll have to dig deeper when I’m home later.

The majority of the population of the USA has some fairly lethal pre-existing conditions in their own right.
There are numerous studies about them, but I'm just too 'here-and-there' to put up a decent one.

In short: We're F*cked.

And mortality is only one way to look at it. I'm more worried that it's clear we don't have the medical system in place for a large scale attack. People constantly brag about how great healthcare is in the US and how people come here for treatment (usually this isn't true), but could we handle a biological attack? Not from what I've seen in response to this current situation.

That's interesting. I'd be curious to read more if you can find it.

Well it looks like it does exist but I dont have all the answers. So its called a "force majeure" clause, and they did envoke almost 5 thousands of them last week. Once you date the contract and announcement of the first case we can put pieces together and speculate. What I would ask is what is the point of all this, and how could this leverage China....we would need specifics and we need Journalists put put more work into this. This is above my paygrade, lol.

According to the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, China has issued 4,811 force majeure certificates as of Mar. 3 due to the epidemic, state media Xinhua reported. Those contracts were worth 373.7 billion Chinese yuan ($53.79 billion), according to the report.

I find it interesting that just a few days ago some "intelligence" reports show the virus dated back in November, however I found an article by the South China Post from March 13th dating the first Coronavirus case dating back to November the 17th, Invalid Link Removed

not sure, but I think china originaly said that coronavirus wasn't spread from person to person?

Based off my memory I clearly remember that, they said its only spread from animals to humans. I never believed it.

I lean far towards this being leaked out of the Bioweapons lab in Wuhan and I think the entire thing was a man made accident.

Well apparently it lingers in the air for a while so the demonstration in the animation shows it clearly.

You think China lies a little?

It depends on the legal interpretation, but I didn't think force majeure includes things like a pandemic, which would fall under "act of god." I thought force majeure had to be a man-made or controlled event like workers going on strike, but maybe they use them interchangeably.

All I know if I just ordered an amp for my office from China and they better be sending it!

How could you possibly prove that in the court of law????

unforseen circumstances that are deemed out of party's control. imo, no one will hold china responsible-they hold too many iou's worldwide.

That makes fair sense, but if there is a god, insane in the membrane Communists think they own him, lol

I think communism is their God?

It absolutely is, people there dont get it when they claim they are an athiest country I tell them they are more religious than the Vatican, LOL

They are so crazy that they claim they are going to find and recognize the re-incarnation of the next Dalai Lama, yet they claim they dont believe in that crap.

Wow, just when I already thought we went to far....but at the time I keep saying whats next Canada is issuing fines of up to $1,000,000 and 3 years prison for doing something like wanting to go to an open field and playing a nice game of football! In NY it sounds like a deal at only $1,000!

I never knew the Canadian government were such a group of authoritarian Nazi terrorists! But you have "free" health care folks, nothing to see here. :)

Anybody feel like visiting the Communist States of Canada?

The RCMP has been asked for assistance in the coordination and enforcement of the March 25, 2020, Quarantine Act Order that, unless specifically exempted, any person entering Canada must isolate or quarantine (self-isolate) themselves for 14 days and monitor for signs and symptoms of COVID-19.

The Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) is now requesting that police agencies across Canada provide physical verification that individuals subject to the mandatory Order are complying with isolation and quarantine (self-isolation) requirements — in other words, that they are inside their homes following isolation orders. These checks will generally be limited to persons who, after PHAC has done initial verifications by phone, text or e-mail, may require a physical verification by police.

The RCMP's law enforcement role in response to this Federal Order is limited to non-compliance that occurs within its policing jurisdiction. The RCMP is also playing a coordination role for all Canadian law enforcement by ensuring the appropriate police of jurisdiction is provided with the information required to conduct physical verification of compliance with the Order, including taking any enforcement actions deemed appropriate by the police of jurisdiction.

When enforcing the law in our jurisdictions, RCMP officers will use a risk-based, measured approach to non-compliance, focusing on education and encouragement. RCMP officers will attempt to conduct physical verification with the individual while maintaining physical distancing. Our officers will speak to the person, inform them of the law and explain the importance of compliance, as well as the potential consequences of non-compliance.

Violating or failing to comply with the Quarantine Act could have significant penalties, including fines and imprisonment. Maximum penalties include a fine of up to $750,000 and/or imprisonment for six months for failure to comply with this Order. Further, a person who causes a risk of imminent death or serious bodily harm to another person while willfully or recklessly contravening this Act or the regulations could be liable for a fine of up to $1,000,000 or imprisonment of up to three years, or to both.

Really? You have been our dictator for 9 years bro, nice job!!!!!!!!

Then he admits NY is completely broke yet he sent millions of dollars to Puerto Rico on behalf of broke NY tax payers so he can look good when he runs for Puppet in Chief in 2024.

If you’re going out and playing a full game of football during stay home orders, you’re an a$$hole. Yes, $1,000,000 is insanity, but it’s not a “nice game of football,” it’s being a selfish, entitled douchebag...

Yes, people living freely and taking their own risks is insanity, but it’s not a “nice game of government authority,” it’s being a selfish, entitled douchebag...

I never said the government is being “nice,” or that the fine is “just,” how you arrived there is beyond me...

The people AND the government can all be a$$holes here. We are in the midst of a pandemic. Do you really need to go out and play a game of football right now? Really? It’s selfish. Even if you aren’t concerned with yourself getting sick, who knows how many people you can spread it to that may not fare so well, all because you have to play a CONTACT SPORT during a pandemic? It’s selfish, plain and simple. The government imposing insane fines doesn’t make these people any less selfish...

Yes, alcohol withdrawal is insanity, but every 50 minutes someone dies in a drunk driving accident....... it’s being a selfish, entitled douchebag...let alone all the significant increases in domestic abuses at home since the stay home order took place.

Ill respond to this soon, just finished my bottle of Jack and gotta drive outta town and re-stock.

I don’t know why you put “nice game of government authority” in quotation marks as if I said the government was being nice. I never even suggested anything along those lines man...

Frankly, your post reads as if you just finished a bottle of Jack...

You act as if the government imposing crazy fines somehow makes idiot people any less idiotic. All I said is that these people playing football aren’t some innocent victims, they’re selfish douchebags. The government can also be douchebags. There is no one group that has the monopoly on being idiots or douches.

No, they are working up a good sweat and building up their immune system and relieving stress. One person didnt show up because they had a cough so just in case they stayed home.

And you’re going to drive right now to get more alcohol? I know you’re probably kidding around, but don’t drive drunk, please...

Of course Im kidding my friend....I quit drinking when I was 22 years old, 20 years ago now :)

But I do know you really care about all this stuff here.

And Happy Easter Ya'll!!!

We have “new flus” all the time, that’s why the flu shot is different every year. This novel corona virus is a rare occurrence.

Yeah its not often Nazi lunatics in a biolab either accidentally or intentionally leak this out to the public.

I heard China is putting extra scrutiny/restrictions on research into how this virus started/originated/etc.
admittedly I am no where close to a expert....but isn't the main thing with biological weapons dispersion?

imo, what makes coronavirus such a threat is how easily it is spread. many have said that there might be a vast amount of people who have had this virus and not even known-yet they still infect others who may not be so fortunate.

what is scary is there might be evil people looking at how to weaponize coronavirus as a carrier for a much deadlier disease. ….ok, that is my conspiracy theory for today....

If you speak you disappear. Maybe your organs go for sale on the market, thats why the market supply so extraordinarily high but the donors are extremely low.

They use $$$oft-power to control the media around the world and have an army of over a million "50 center" internet trolls. Id bet getting Coronavirus if China didnt have substantially more influence and meddling in our elections than Russia.
