Meh, it probably could have been over by now had him and his team been honest from the start. It also doesn't help that he keeps tweeting about the case and contradicting things he has said. It's interesting how closely the tactics he used in his book The Art Of The Deal are to what he has been doing as President.

you know as well as I, we are who we are, lol. lots of things trump could have done differently, but I think he stays true to himself--be it for better or worse.

the man has risen to great success by acting a certain way, I could see where it would be difficult to persuade him to change.

It's worked for him so far. I can't fault him for sticking with what works. I'm just pissed that people keep falling for it lol

how many tax cuts did I get when Obama was president?....how many 100% write offs for 5 years?

immigration is also important to me, if more illegals were to come to Indiana they would put me out of business, I could not compete with a company paying bare minimum with no benefits.
 
This thread makes my skin crawl. There is such a rift between my generation and generations before us. Sadly, my generation will be retired before we are able to purge the stench of the policies left behind by those before us.

Strange. It's almost as if you don't support capitalism? You can't compete with low labor costs so you need the government to pass policies to bail you out? Wow, what are you a liberal?

no I need the government to enforce the law....illegals are by definition-illegal, right!!!

what I meant by put me out of business is a company hires illegals and pays them well under the going rate, the only way I could compete is to fire my existing employees and hire illegals....

Actually my dad died when I was 12 from cancer. But no, I don't have daddy issues.

I have issues with old people ruining America for generations with their intolerant beliefs. I have issues with people wanting to strip away equal protection from transgenders because they're scared a transgender will molest their daughter. I have issues with people supporting a president who says things like clean coal is when you take coal and wash it. I have issues with people who think this tax bill is a good thing long term. I have issues with people who claim they support the constitution but support minority oppression. I have people who want to defund public education and put money in private education because sending their child to school with brown kids is just blasphemy. I have issues with people who believe a police officers life is worth more than a black persons life. I have issues with people who lack the ability to see things through and understand the consequences and the hypocrisy of their beliefs.

First, if you're going to deny that Obama had tax cuts and extended existing tax cuts, then we'll have to stop because you're just lying or extremely uninformed. The problem is that you jump at the few dollars waved in front of your face while much more is being stolen from your back pocket. Second, immigration is one of the illusions you're falling for. You continue to believe that Democrats have an open door policy and that Trump wants to close the door even though he employees illegal immigrants himself and supports others that do, including giving clemency to a huge offended a few weeks ago. Quit falling for his words and look at what he is actually doing!

Tax cuts and immigration are both important issues. I don't disagree that they are important. I do disagree that the Republicans are actually going to do anything productive about it. I also disagree that the Democrats and Republicans currently in elected positions are significantly different.

I've been paying into social security since I was 16, doubt I will get a fraction back that I paid into it.

social security has become a scam, has been for a long time....maybe the new generation can/will come up with something better. I sincerely hope so!!!

Every generation here right now has their crazy issues we can all agree and disagree with.

I think your issue isnt really a specific generation but rather specific policies and belief sets that some people happen to support.

Personally though, as a whole I feel all of the generations have alot of people that suck politically.

I still think Dump is mishandling trillions of dollars but Id certainly say Cali is responsible for many of their problems. I see alot of outrage about having Sanctuary Cities for illegal immigrants in Cali, but nothing to create a Sanctuary for homeless vets which would be my personal preference.

At least thats how it appears on TV.

I wonder if now that they are limited on salt deductions California voters will demand state/local politicians cutback on spending?....as long as it was deductible why would they care?

So when does Trump start getting the blame? I ask because you've been giving him credit already lol.

In regards to California, you're not basing that on reality. California continually ranks higher than your own state for veteran benefits and opportunities. I'm sure though that Trump and Shulkin's plans to start privatizing the VA is all about improving care and not just making money for insurance companies ;)

What would your idea of a sanctuary city include? They're not handing out free houses to the immigrants...sanctuary cities are simply not automatically deporting them.

Yes, Im on the same page as far as what it is. I was just making general statements to express a point, maybe I did a bad job on that.

If I was Dump Id cancel all tax payer funded $15,000 per plate elitist (Yeah Bernie, that also includes YOU!) politician dinners including banning them for Congressional/Senate members and donate it to Vet charity for his entire term. Melania could probably cook up some great European food and Jr. could go to the local grocery and pick some fresh meats and bottled water. That would make a significant statement to me.

trump donated 1st quarter salary to national parks service, recently he donated 2nd quarter salary to education....I have a feeling vets will be on that list!!!

Id be looking into welfare and social services, who and how they all got there and compare it to Vets benefits...specifically the homeless ones.

I dunno, Ive seen some disturbing crap here in NY, but that doesnt just includes illegal immigrates.

I have an uncle who is an illegal and he gets better cheaper health care here than I do...and Im insured! Pays no income taxes too putting money into the system and has a decent (but hard) job.

Mine is based in reality on simple math. It's also based on physicians that work at VAs. Every single time I have brought up a veterans' issue, you weren't even aware of it. Keep attacking the messenger though while you vote against your own interests rather than taking 5 minutes to see if what I am saying is the truth.

Lawyers from law firms do pro bono work. They don't get paid. This isn't a new concept, but I'm sure Fox sold this to you as some warped lie that you fell for just like all the others.

no doubt, a war with iran would pose significantly less risk....but there are recent developments---the chinese military has just sent additional troops to it's border with n.korea.

I think the Iranian people are going to do it this time....
