Donald Trump running for president

I don't understand why espn or the nfl would want to alienate trump supporters???

white, working class, beer drinking men are core bases for all of the above....

They lost some 13 million subscribers the past 6 years....and its turned into a liberal sesspool and race baiting political programing.

Nah, I'm just talking about the righteous indignation of Trump supporters and the double standard thereof.

If the left complains about something they're "snowflakes". If the right complains, it's all good ;)

I look at it like the nfl and espn are selling a product same as a restaurant. how many times are you going back to a restaurant when the 1st thing they say to you is that you are deplorable, lol.

sometimes it doesn't make sense not to be offended, imo.

doesn't make much business sense to me....I wonder how movie ticket sales are doing?

Maybe Trump supporters shouldn't be "snowflakes" about it like they say about the left when they get offended

It's funny and sad that the ones I know who use the term snowflake the most are the ones that won't shut the **** up about what everybody else is doing.

Last I heard hollywood is taking loses as of late. After the news my chinese owned AMC awards membership ran a promo for double points and various other companies started running promos.

If your into reading unclassified CIA documents at all (I read some, not a whole lot, lol) you will see how Hollywood is infiltrated and loaded with propaganda.

Hollywood is primarily run, regulated and/or pressure/influenced by the Chinese now (which they dont get much in the way of what the CIA wants to do) its a whole different world from Reagon although I 100% agree with you. At least that time it was just the USA running the show, we had more control for real change if people really wanted it. Now its gotten so bad people like Richard Gere cant even find a job anymore.

Propaganda has so many more outlets these days too. Facebook alone has shaped so many peoples' minds one way or the other. Even our President walks around with propaganda literally on his head.

define snowflake....I just want entertainment without the politics!!!

this thread is about politics, it is appropriate to discuss politics here...other subforums wouldn't be appropriate places to discuss what we discuss here, imo.

It wasn't my intention to comment on this thread. I agree the whole purpose of this thread is to complain or discuss lol.

The way that snowflake has been used recently it to refer to a crybaby who seems to be offended by everything. It's typically used to describe liberals (another term that gets thrown around by people who don't understand the definition), but I find it's mostly the Trump supporters I know and hear that are so easily offended. I can't speak for millennials since I don't make a habit of hanging out with teens or twenty-somethings, but the older generations seem to think everybody is out to get them. The same people who call out "snowflake liberals" tend to be the same people that think there is a war on Christianity when somebody says happy holidays.

It's also interesting to me that a lot of these white guys using the term in their 30s-50s took the word from the movie Fight Club. I doubt many of them actually read the book or they'd understand what the story is actually about and how idiotic it makes them sound. I also don't think many in that age range seem to remember that snowflake was used as a derogatory term for whites...another reason I find it interesting that it's used so much.

go ahead call me a snowflake, but in all honesty I find a lot of stuff happening today to be disturbing.

looks like another fun night in st. louis-again!!!

Again lol, not calling you a snowflake. People can complain all they want. I just get annoyed by hypocrisy in general, so if somebody is constantly talking on Facebook or wherever about the fragile snowflake liberals, but then in the same breath act as if the removal of some monument they never heard of until yesterday is a direct attack on them, then that to me is crap.

lol...I guess it is perspective. one man's junk is another man's treasure....

I dig history and view tearing down civil war monuments in the same vein as ancient Egyptians trying to erase statues of Akhenaten.

What are your feelings on national monuments, because they're considering taking away quite a bit.

Lol at trump supporters being easily offended.

Also Christianity is the most persecuted religion in the world. Its a fact, look it up. There has been a shift in recent years that can't be denied. Sadly our country is following suit in a lot of ways. Were moving away from what America was built on. I guess I'm just an old dinosaur but I miss the country we once were.

Snowflake rant over ❄

I worry about where this leads to more than just statues themselves...if they say the constitution is invalid because it was penned by slave owners then we have gone down a very big rabbit hole.

Is it still 2017 AD? Do we still get Christmas off yet no other religions' holiday? Is God on all of our money? Your "facts" are bull****. And yes, not all Trump supporters, but many I have to interact with are whiney little bitches who can't name a positive thing that Trump has accomplished. All they do is still talk about Hillary and Obama.

Sure, but I'm asking about the national monuments that the Trump administration has stated plans to take away.

My facts are bull****.... Not really look it up lol its a fact. Why you mad bro??

That's what we call a news report. Do you have a peer-reviewed study and not somebody's opinion?
Lol yeah a peer reviewed study of people persecuted for their belief.... Get out of here you pansy ass.... Your so blind you dismiss the truth because it doesn't fit in to what you deem as credible..... bro seriously.

To quote old jack... You can't handle the truth.

I must also ask you... Do you watch the news sir? Or only accept it as truth if they have quantifiable tests on what's being reported lol

I mean, come on man, your source has an article on saints that could fly

Well of course how do you think Santa gets all those presents to your greedy little left handed children promoting world peace while destroying anything moral. ?

Sure, but I'm asking about the national monuments that the Trump administration has stated plans to take away.

from a historical viewpoint I would like to see them stay, but if they go my life likely won't change.

I like my wife's answer when I asked her if custer's statues should be taken down, she said 'why, we kicked his ass'....again, it all comes down to perspective, imo.

time for bed-later.

How very Christian of you. And no, I don't accept something as fact without proof.

What does Christian mean to you? Weak and spineless lol

No. You're not an example of Christianity at all. You talk about Christians being persecuted and killed, yet one person on the internet asks you to back up a statment you made and you break down? Think about that. You even named yourself Godstrength, but you snap after I ask for a study, rather than a news story which cites a Fox news story? Pretty sad.

I broke down and snapped? Where did that happen?? I must have missed it...

Lets look at this... Your mad because Christianity is the most persecuted religion in the world... To the point where you want stereotype me. Asking for facts... Look it up bro its a fact. Dont be mad, its really not anything you would want. Ill wear it though... Sign of the times ?

Here's how burden of proof works: you make a claim, the burden is on you to provide proof. I trust evidence and facts, you believe in Santa. We'll just have to agree to disagree.

Alright good deal... But if you ever feel motivated even just a lil bit to actually embrace the truth of what religion is the most persecuted... Look it up

Don't be mad bro.... Silly to be mad about that. Its even more real than Santa Clause

Oh and you can't watch CNN anymore because there's no burden of proof with their reports lol

I don't watch CNN, but there is a burden of proof on them. They simply don't often follow through.

And I forgive you.

Ephesians 4:31-32: Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.

Christianity and science do correlate, you just can't take the Bible literal on a physical level. Has anyone attempted to watch Jordan Peterson's videos? If you can understand the psychological factor of religion then you'll understand the validity of it. I only call myself a Christian because of the culture behind it. God has no religion, he is creation and destruction. He is the balance that keeps this world going around. He has no face because he is the universe and consciousness.

They arent the most slaughtered group in the world though, we drop bombs of compassion with our drones of love on muslims, starved and slaughtered millions of them over the last couple of decades. Usually by policies supported by Christians (and Jews) and people wonder why Christians (and outside societies as a whole) are hated so much and it turns into a religious backlash and terrorism.

If your talking about Christianity in America I know what your talking about, Im not a Christian but I do think its ridiculous where in some areas in life they want to abolish stupid crap like the word Christmas and call it Holidays just to not offend people. This is just a part of a bigger problem in America, we are currently in the beginnings of a new Cultural Revolution and Christians arent exactly the primary target, humanity as a whole is, lol.

Im with you. I hear stuff like "oh they were put up during Jim Blow era, hate hate hate" but I want to be reminded of the times of the past (although imo confederacy era is much more than just "slavery and hate.") If it wasnt for these statues there wouldnt be such a big discussion about it and the youth primarily will be stuck distracted playing Flappy Bird on their cell phones and learn nothing.

Thats just ones guys "scientific" point of view though, which is debatable. There is no concrete scientific evidence, just theory. You just happen to pick that side. Its ok with me not going to pick on people's religious beliefs but just saying just because somebody has videos doesn't mean its convincing to some others. You can find convincing videos with different "scientific" perspectives too ya know, I can say hey have you looked at so and so's?? You will get it all if you do thats the guy he gets it!!

Another perspective is the infinite continuity of life, no beginning and no end and "god' not being any part of it. Life is just as it is, always evolving, creating and destroying from the beginningless of space and time. Infinite impermanence of all rather than something permanent creating everything impermanent sounds more scientific to some people.

a little bit more of the Tao in your response.

I personally think it is necessary for people to accept the fact there are answers we do not have and likely never will. If some want to fill that with an invisible man in the sky, so be it. I choose not to. It is just as likely that aliens are our creators as it is that there is some "god". However, everyone has the right to their beliefs

They don't correlate, but they also shouldn't have to. Religion isn't based on concrete evidence; it's based on faith and there's nothing wrong with that until people try combining both. If somebody has faith, they shouldn't need scientific evidence. Was anybody a member of abcbodybuilding.com back in the day run by Jacob Wilson? He repeatedly kicked me off his site and eventually banned me for talking about scientific evidence for evolution, yet now wants to be known as a scientist when it comes to physiology.

I know what you are saying, but I also think it is more likely that neither of the explanations for the existence of life that you presented are correct.

But....some people may agree with you at the same time think one may be much more unlikely than the other....one may be impossible and the other a possibility even if its almost impossible at least.

Well anything is debatable if someone is willing to appose a side, plus psychology is a science full of many theories. He isn't just some guy, if you look into what he's done you can understand the validity of his self.

Also you're correct about your perspective, I'm not sure what you're thinking about when I say God but I'm just being relevant. What I mean is that God is the universe and our consciousness, I don't believe in a floating man with a gray beard in the sky lol.

In a time with a growing amount of information, faith goes out the door. The supernaturalism of religions hold no validity in reality so faith isn't a good back bone for religion. There's no concrete evidence because there's no direction on how to pursue it, psychology is the only logical route.

Why do you assert that psychology is the only logical route?

it is my opinion that GOD is an extra terrestrial [alien].....how would it be possible for GOD to be native to a world he created?

of course this is my personal view, GOD and your belief or lack of is personal to you....we always have a choice!!!!

Loving all the different perspectives. Thats the truth is that we are all free to believe whatever we want. At the end of the day there can only be one truth. We can't all just make up whatever we want the truth to be and have it be truth. So I'm not saying that what I believe is right because I believe it. Personally something that I can't explain changed me. But that's my truth right now in this moment. I don't force that on others.

At the end of the day, I guess we will hold to our beliefs of what the truth is about life and universe. But just because they're are different beliefs doesnt make them all true.

I don't force what I believe on others, I may share and leave people to come,to their own conclusion. To each his/her own and this goes to my family as well so I believe this on the deepest level.

I respect and agree with this...although there is so much we don't know that there may well be many truths we are unaware of.

Well because there there's no reality to religion outside the human mind.

That's why there is faith. People shouldn't have to prove what they personally believe in. If people want to start pushing their beliefs on others or into science classrooms, then I speak up. If you try explaining supernatural concepts with natural science, you're going to find they don't mix. You can't prove anything about a religion with psychology. You can show why one person might have faith and another doesn't or how religion affects one person or a group of people, but you're not going to prove the existance of something that is beyond the laws of nature.

the reverse of that is also true, imo.
