in Vietnam we wanted to flood the vietcong tunnel system....probably 90% of their supplies were carried by human 'pack mules' thru their extensive tunnel system. Vietnam was brutal, the cong would use decoys to trick our guys into going into tunnels then use trip wires to blow the only entrance shut....the Taliban and isis probably studied the guerrilla tactics employed by the cong.

Seriously, first time we've been worried in a long time and if my wife wasn't stuck working at the hospital, we'd be out of here. As it stands we're staying and I might end up with the dog at the Hospital.

It's crazy. And Jose is not far behind this one. It's going to be a horrible 1, 2 punch if worse case scenario comes true.
Truly surreal.

I hope those evacuating get out of dodge safe, and those staying are in a good safe place.

Thoughts are with you guys. My hope is that it will downgrade to a cat 4 before landfall in Florida, which might not seem like much, but it should make a difference.

Definitely keep checking in man, and anyone else in Florida right now. You guys have enough food and water stored?
 
I don't think that 2nd will hit the US but it should go over Baruda which was 90% destroyed already :(

Thank you. There are a few of us AM'ers down here for sure. Hope all are in a good place. Yes, we are hoping that warmer water it's moving towards doesn't give it more juice to keep it at CAT5. A downgrade from 185 plus wall wind speeds would be nice for those where it hits first. 140 mph winds are less devastating. I hope it doesn't ride up the spine of Florida. That would suck. If it turns east and the wall stays off shore Miami would be spared along with the east coast.

If it hits the Golf (odds against) that east side wall would devastate us. It's the strongest part of the Hurricane. I've got "My Radar" app with tracking on the upgraded version for iPhone but it is available for Android.

There are so many conspiracies blaming so many people that's it's impossible to pin point the exact group or person(s).

Its hard to know 100% exactly whats going on (and anyone who claims so I would stay away from, lol) but its really not that complicated to narrow down your search. You first have to follow the money, and also there are several groups that have heavy influence on public policy and you will get the gist of whats going on. There is nothing wrong with being unsure of things, because thats life.

Remember, the CIA invented the term "conspiracy" as a way to discredit any type of reporting that goes against the "official" story during the JFK assassination.

But really, they all want you to be overwhelmed with anything that sounds "conspiracy" as a form of controlling your thoughts and controlling information, dont let them do that to you. It all starts with, "do you believe aliens live on the other side of the moon and Apollo took place in Hollywood?" Just stray away from the issue, and dont question anything :)

I feel bad it almost seems Houston and Texas is almost an afterthought already.

They also might get cooler, and the climate may be drier producing less storms. Who knows? Weatherman get it wrong just a few days out more often then governments lie to us, lol!

Its all controversial and debatable and mainstream media picks and chooses who they want (for example ignore many climate skeptic scientists within the NASA community) to promote their government backed agenda. Im at the stance where I dunno and the science is still uncertain (causes anyways) and we will never know. I remember global cooling in the 80's headed by UN criminal Maurice Strom. Then it was global warming. Then it became simply climate change. I especially do not believe government gives a krap to do anything but satisfy their financiers anyways and run their ponzi schemes (can and trade for example) so no matter what we have to take what comes at us. There are trillions of dollars at stake, power to gain and countless corruption (on both sides such as the oil people.) There is evidence of government manipulation of statistics provided to scientists in order to deceive them so they accidentally deceive the public so global public policy gets put in place that doesnt provide solutions anyways.

It's sucks we can't even trust scientists, mostly when someone benefits from a perspective, then people don't care to find the truth; they either want to gain something from the information or they want the information to damage the credibility of the opposing side creating disorder effecting society negatively.

What we know changes with technology. It's not controversial or debatable. The media and government wants you to think it is and can find a few "scientists" to say what they want for pay, but the science is what it is.

I know one thing for sure, cleaning up the environment and revolutionizing the way we access energy can all be a benefit to all of us. Unfortunatly they will always try to find a way to make or tax a dollar off of it. Nikoli Tesla wanted free energy for all, and I have no doubt this is possible if it wasn't for dirty grimy people keeping this tech away from us but we are making progress. When I buy a house in a year or two (I hope) Im planning on having solar panels and the Tesla battery all installed and electric heating. Plus for my pocket, plus for the air/environment and a plus that I dont buy some Saudi "Princess" a new pair of silk boxers and a hooker.
