From an outside perspective:
The majority of those fighting back about keeping the monuments are those who support Nazism. Do you think they actually care for those monuments, or do you think they are fighting about what they interpret those monuments to mean to them - which is oppression of minorities. Whether you agree or not, those monuments stand for something poisonous and it is showing with these rallies and displays.
Also if private companies decide to remove hate speech, or if spotify decides to remove songs about hate then let it be so. It's their company to do as they please. Freedom of speech isn't actually the ability to say what you want without consequence, and it certainly does not justify hate speech.
Mainstream media makes it appear as if the majority fighting back is supporting nazism but that is not the case. I dont know a single person what doesnt both hate Nazism and white supremacists and also supports preserving our countries history and art.
The whitehouse was built by slaves....Abraham Lincoln supported slavery and didnt give a crap about black people, our founding fathers had slaves, we have historical houses all across the country supported by slavery....
All this and much more by a majority of people who are fighting to take some stupid sculpures down in meanwhile these hypocrites support politicians who rip off the American people as a whole and are genocidal war mongering maniacs and policies that actually DO infringe on the liberties of black people.
Do I care what genocidal war mongering maniac and freedom stripping supporting Americans thinks about historical monuments? No, because they already lost me on ethical credibility a long time ago.
Im tired of all the hypocrisy, keep the monuments up...educate on history and all the dark side.
Im sorry but you need to stop watching TV, lol Mainstream news are all lying war mongering accomplices to mass murder along with most liberals that support distractive issues such as statues that are part of our history, good or evil. You cant take liberals seriously, they lost their ethical integrity years ago.
What private companies do of course, thats their own time. The problem is these companies all criminally lobby our mass murdering politicians and effect public policy including those that strip the freedoms of black people, so they are all mostly hypocrites too.
If you must, since Obama did more to strip the rights of black people than anyone else the past 8 years we should start taking down all images of his ugly criminal azz first.
