I'll tell you this...since the anti corruption movement under president Xi the last couple of years these dinners and get together have dropped about 80% and my family aren't stockpiling gifts and "mooncakes" much anymore.

The country has changed significantly over the last few years.

It seems fine to me too as far as I'm concerned and I hope so lol

What drives China craziest th most is when we sell Taiwan weapons which they claim belongs to them and they bribe nations around the world to end relations with Taiwan. Also there are the sea issues....all this has been going on for years of course I don't see much different with Dump as of yet.

I'll have to see what these trade investigations will bring, will it cause a trade war or will Dump use it as negotiation leverage? I hope it's the latter, time will tell but I say as of now with this issue let's go Dump!

trump is a perfect example...do I agree with everything he says or does-NO....on the whole are his policies more in line with my liking-YES!!!

it's just my opinion that liberalism is a bad thing---most of the time. I am for a minimum wage increase, and I also agree with safety net programs most of the time, even though they get abused as bad as any drug!!!!

the simple solution to healthcare would have been to put the poor on medicare and never have messed with health insurance-Obamacare!!!
 
Just got home...didn't want to say this till after the event, but my fav childhood band of all time I finally saw in person GN'R. For all my life when I was too young to attend due to strict family until a couple of years ago especially after Axl didn't even show up to the hall of fame I and no one thought this would ever be possible.

They were really really good, showed up in time and played for 3 hours.

Nice! I was too suspicious to buy tickets. They had so many issues in the 90s with showing up several hours late if they showed up at all that I didn't think this tour would actually ever happen lol. Glad you got to see them!

It appears as if those days are long and gone. They grew up I guess....Axl isnt even jumping the stage and punching people who are reording him on their cell phones, lol

I was very impressed with Slash....his skill level has gone up since the 90s. I really enjoyed the songs, they had an extra touch to them for the better (minus axl's voice not being the same.) Chinese Democracy songs with Slash are superior to the originals with Buckethead.

Axl's voice isnt that bad...its improved from several years ago if you had seen his stuff, it has this wierd mousy sound to it but he had bite last night and performed very well. 5-15 years ago Axl was a disaster.

Concert started a 6pm when there was daylight, for a couple of hours when everyone can see every-time he got up to let people walk by people all around me just started cracking up, it was hilarious. He just really stood out and distracted everybody, and he was huuugggeee.

What president has a portrait or statue coming down? All I see are statues of traitors who lost a war. Should we put up a statue of Snowden or Chelsea Manning? They're part of our history too.

As for the other comparison, come on man, you're usually better about facts. Obama didn't call for police reform after somebody murdered cops. Trump missed a huge oportunity to help race relations and refused to directly blame nazis! And not the way everybody these days overuses the term nazis...these *******s actually consider themselves nazis. Fellow republicans have spoken out against him. Even Fox spoke out against him! Members of the joint chiefs of staff have denounced racism in the face of this.

If a brown person had stepped out of that car, we would have detention camps already. Somebody drives a vehicle into a crowd in another country and Trump wants to ban travel. Some white **** does the same in this country and suddenly both sides are to blame?
 
Also, if those ****heads with tiki torches come marching anywhere near where I am, I will be there with flammable-filled water balloons.

My comparison was really just to try to show hypocrisy in the media...from my point of view of course.

I think both Obama and Dump are wrong. No group was to blame, it was an act of a specific suspect...which if there are other plotters involved we would have some more suspects. I cant blame groups the same way I dont blame police for what a specific few have acted with injustices....nor do I think its right to blame BLM for the murders even if I dislike their ideology.

Its a distraction I believe so as well. They want us all fighting with each-other as they continue to expand illegal powers and strip our Bill of Rights away, whatever is left of it. Can't say I disagree, but we need a leader who isn't going to keep adding fuel. I also agree with you that Obama many chances to improve race relations and didn't, but Trump supporters are going to have to stop blaming Obama for it if Trump only plans on making it far worse.
 
You also missed Trump's two business advisory councils. That ****er had experience in one area (business) and he can't even succeed in that!

absolutely it's a distraction...keeping the country divided is the main goal-race issues is just the means, it isn't as if the powers that be give a damn about racism. if it wasn't race they would find something else--it's been this way for as long as I can remember.

They certainly have power....and its going to get worse. In China they just started a grading system on people in social media. Basically you get hits if you have certain views...and if you are friends with people with certain views you get hits too....and this effects your ability to travel, get visas, a job, etc.....Mark Zuckeberg is getting close with the Chinese working out certain censorship plans, its a big story. Here is a quick link if you want to look into this more but Ill tell you they can pull this off here some day. I think its more a matter of when than if.
