Donald Trump running for president

Are you hearing scientist say that as their opinion or is anybody actually citing research? This is one scientist who says we still have a very good chance of helping and we certainly shouldn't speed the process up.

you know what...it would be stupid To argue against this...all I can at is I hope you are right!!!

on the other hand, corporations and cities were for the paris accord and have said they will still follow the guidelines....to me this is a win/win, we get the good without European control over it, plus we don't have to give all of that money to prop up india and china.

after all the paris accord was non-binding to begin with...from what I understand the U.S. has voluntarily lowed carbon emissions by at least 8% between 2000-2014, the amount varies by source but I found that to be the lowest, it ranges to as high as 18%--innovation and technology seem to be the driving force behind this reduction, and it was done without any 'ACCORD'!!!

Like I said, i am just going along with the majority of scientists who seem to be pretty sure fossil fuel oxidation and land clearing are negatively impacting the earth. Its consistent with what I have observed in Asia.

Anything you may or may have seen in asia may not have been do to carbon emission though...the climate changes, everywhere parts of the world experiences hectic climate and times of calm. This wont change even if we have a 0 emissions globe (1 volcano can easily take care of that anyways lol.)

Anyways note I say may or may not, its possible I dunno its all theory....if 50 NASA scientists condemning climate change carbon extremism and we dont see any of that on mainstream news you really have no idea how many more scientists are shut out and who if that "vast majority" the media claims is really that vast. Vast majority is a political slogan to take the debate out of it and expedite corporate/banker policy.

Plus ethics can get in the way on the biological side. As you can't do inhumane things in the name of science, and rightfully so. I've said it over and over that if the Nazis won the war we would be a much more advanced society and much more technologically-advanced as well. However the means of which they got there is not worth it. The methods used by the nazis, even the US but to a lesser extent, during that time period was mortifying.

The US and Russia exempted their scientists and took who they could along with Japanese scientists. The US Government stole Teslas paperwork, people and scientists throught history trying to track it down have been assassinated. Shyt is crazy what we dont know.

That might be true for the mechanical side of things, but it's not for the biological advancements that need to happen. And none of this will happen as long as the people in the public and government continue to undermine scientific research simply because it's too hard for them to understand.

Government does they own black budget research and projects....they just undermine it from the public knowledge.

maybe the scientific community should make more effort to explain things in simpler terms so the non-scientific people could have a better understanding of what is going on, rather than snubbing their noses at the general public because they aren't as smart as the scientists?

one of the reasons trump was elected was because he simplified things to a level the common man could comprehend, Obama was very good at this also...fortunately Hillary always seemed to be talking down to people, and didn't connect with the masses--maybe Hillary had a scientific background, lol.

Ya big thing with Tesla was that he was working on a project to harness energy from the natural magnetic fields of the earth. He want to use that to make a power source for free power for everyone. There is some evidence that he was at least kinda successful and that was a big no no for the government.

it aint just the US government...all governments by nature are corrupt...look at the Bible!!!

Supposedly Trump's next big initiative is going to be infrastructure, which is one of the main things I was looking forward to during his presidency. A bipartisan initiative.

Wait, wait, wait....time out! Did bigt just say the Bible is corrupt? Either I'm too drunk and misread that or aliens have abducted bigt and replaced him with a pod person.

Actually space exploration may, theoretically, render capitalism and 'right' social structures obsolete as we would experience a long period of infinite supply.

How is colonizing Mars going to give infinite resources when you'd have to build a bio dome type structure to live and grow plants in, along with exporting supplies from Earth to the new colony?

lol...do I really need to comment on this?:hitwithrock:

ok...the demsl/ibs can put more spin than a tornado on it, but every time there is a RADICAL ISLAMIC TERRORIST attack it strengthens trump's proposed travel ban.

I was thinking more of access to the unlimited commodities in space rather than colonising Mars per se.

Yes, if only there was a ban on people of a specific religion coming into the US we could have avoided that attack in an entirely different country!

The fact that this travel ban hasn't went into affect by now show's the insane PC world most Americans live today. Everyone living inside their little bubbles and safe spaces yelling that banning people from countries where we have "Current" intel of possible attacks is wrong. I'm sure banning people from certain places seemed wrong to a lot of folks in London as well until blast from bombs and vans plowing through people shocked them back into the real world. I regret that anyone has to ever deal with something like that, I also regret that its going to keep happening with ease the longer Liberals push PC regulations

the ban isn't on religion, it's on region....it's called being proactive, preventing something before it happens rather than breaking out the flowers after a terror attack, like the british have become accustomed too.

This is the way I see it:
1.) Implementing travel bans based upon religion is a sign of capitulation to terrorism. America is defeated when freedom of religion is discarded because of terrorism.
2.) It is simply ineffective. Weren't the 9/11 terrorists from Saudi Arabia anyway? In Europe, many of these terrorists are citizens of the country upon which they affect their terror. So at the end of the day, does it do anything more than simply create more enemies?

If it was really a ban on religion they would have banned Indonesia and Indonesia first since its the largest muslim populated nation on earth.

Being that 9/11 was clearly an inside job the travel ban should have been on the US government first, then the Saudis. But the Saudis got that black gold and they comply so let them fly.

It sounds like someones been watching to much MSNBC , 1. It isn't a ban on religion, as much as the left media wants you to think that, simple facts are simple facts. The countries affected have CURRENT! intel of possible attacks. Areas where isis has current strong holds with funding and planning going on.
2. 9/11 and Saudi Arabia, here's where I see you've watched to much liberal news. I wish anyone on the left would tell me what in the world a terror attack from 2001 has anything to do with this current ban and what countries it involves. What sense would it make to put a ban on a country that had people attack you in 2001? Referring to 9/11 when talking about this ban makes about as much sense as bring up Germany attacking us in WW2. It just shows the complete misunderstanding that the Avg person has about national security. I support everyone having different views, I've deployed overseas for over 13 years to support that freedom, I only prefer people to actually look at things from a facts stand point and study the situation instead of blindly repeating what some reporter on tv said driven by the party they vote for.

Or it simply shows what a useless piece of **** it is. How is a travel ban going to do anything more than what is already being currently done?

Isis is killing people all over the western world, and smart enough to recruit fighters who have never been in trouble with the law and can get visas to the states. It's a pretty simple and logical thing to do to try to put a temp ban on the areas they are coming from until things improve. Asking how a ban would do anything more shows what you know about how recruiting and visas work. That being said just watch the news, any news. There's attacks going on everywhere, people getting murdered , kids, women, and you are against increased vetting?

I don't actually watch your (USA) news much. As for my point regarding 9/11 and Saudi Arabia, I was suggesting that the travel fails to protect America from historical vectors as, I admit, I am ignorant regarding the places which are currently considered a threat - I assumed Saudi Arabia would always be considering the number of hard-core Sunni inhabitants.

Do you really think the travel ban is effective against the kind of people who might be successful at executing a terrorist attack on US soil?

No big deal man, It's completely understandable that the avg person isn't up to speed on current intel etc. In the past normal vetting, example Saudi has failed the USA, which only confirms that there needs to be a temp ban to increase vetting of those coming into the states. I do think it would help lower the threat until this isis movement is slowed. Like other groups in the past , you kill enough of them and take away their funding people stop joining until they don't have enough money or man power to do much. it's only a matter of time.

So then you're in favor of banning all firearms to prevent gun deaths here in the US?

I'm for thoroughly vetting people coming into the country which is being done already. You don't just show up and fly here on the same day. There are people waiting years and I am asking you a very simple question, so you can either continue assuming that you know me and what I know or you can asnwer the question. What more is a travel ban (Trump's words) going to do to help prevent attacks than what is already being done.

Firearms doesn't kill people, people do. I don't assume I know anything about you, I take it you don't believe someone thats been waiting on visas or already has one are not targeted by isis? Talks like this go no where when people root themselves in beliefs instead of facts. People can't understand firm stances on terror until it hits home for them and something horrible happening causes it to make sense to them. Matter a fact maybe I do know you... Your actually Rachel Maddow jk

I'm making no statement on the issue. I'm asking you a clear, direct question that you appear to not be able to answer. You just toss out the usual insults, but you offer absolutely zero substance. If you're such an expert, then educate us rather than yet again assuming who I am or what I've seen. Your pseudo-expertise bull**** might work on facebook and fox news comment sections, but it gets called out for what it is fairly easily here.

Alright now, first of you asked a simple question and I answered with saying isis is targeting people who are waiting for visas and that already have visas for the USA, thats not a guess or opinion thats simple fact. The temp ban would give the government time to use extra vetting for those countries. That right there clearly answers your question. I haven't insulted you, only joked about you being Rachel Maddow haha. Also I have no FB and post nothing on any news sites. I've deployed fighting terror for over 13 years and I'm overseas doing it right now. So as far as expertise goes, thats something I do have, I'm sure your an expert at whatever career you do as well. This entire issue becomes pretty simple when black and white facts are looked at instead of people yelling louder thinking that some how makes them right. The entire ban is only temp, long enough to set better vetting in place. I'm unsure why the left is pulling their hair out acting like we're banning muslims forever in the USA. Most these countries are apart of a travel ban Obama wanted to put in place, for some reason I don't remember the left caring about it at all then.

I'm not up on space exploration, so what am I missing? What other commodities are in space that we are missing out on?

The only thing that is rare in space is life. If we could build machines that build machines everything could be made cheaply in space.

Also, epic thread!

Do you think now that we dont have Obama and Hitlery in power that Dump is going to stop funding and arming them with billions in cash and ammunition? I hope that is the case, but I doubt Dump has power to control shadow government.

This is the way Michio Kaku said it was going to be. Robots will build robots that build robots...etc....its cost effective. With all the artificial intelligence shooting through the roof I can see this happening in my lifetime.

He just sealed the deal on the Saudi sale. $110 billion worth of weapons imediately and $350 billion worth over the next decade.

I was referring specifically directly (well indirectly) to ISIS, but what you just stated is part of the bigger problem. Selling that amount of arms to the globes Beheader's in Chief and women vagina lips slayers does nothing but reflect hypocrisy from the current administration. Still trying to figure out why Dump didnt just also send send missles of compassion in the center of Riyadh when the chemical attack in Syria a few years ago was Saudi chemicals.

Its 1,000,000% relevant....being that 9/11 was only 16 years ago and WWII is at the point where we are losing the remaining of our heroes (bless them!) its totally relevent. Saudi Arabia needs to be included in the ban. We have direct financial connections with some of the Saudis financing 9/11 (the unclassified 13 pages not long ago) and nobody has been arrested or prosecuted. Terrorist financiers are still in Saudi Arabia, they are still alive and loose. Being they have pulled off terrorism (with other contributors) on a far vast scale than ISIS can dream of to date Id say lock down Saudi Arabia on top of the travel ban list. They have that black gold though, and King Salman and the US government comply taking turns getting on their knees and blowing one another. Remember Bush flew out Bin Laden's family the night of 9/11 out of D.C. to Saudi Arabia when the countries entire flight system was shut down? Not even Bush's father could fly in the air that night.

9/11 is totally relevant to this date....thats what triggered this so called current "war on terror" (how do you declare a war on a tactic ROFL!) and has led us to the longest war in American history that has no end in sight. WWII ended in 1945.....9/11 ended in 20?? or 21?? or more as long as people keep voting for corrupt big government unconstitutional foreign interventionist politicians.

I have no doubt some of those weapons will magically find their way to ISIS. This way though the Republicans can hide behind the excuse that the deal was started by the Obama administration even though they've shown that they have no problem stopping/ending Obama era deals.

Saudi Arabia has a intact Government with a fully functioning visa system and also giving butt loads of cash to fight terror right now. Do you still support terror? Yes, but thats how the world work, fight who you can when you can and where it makes the most sense. Given the travel ban focuses on countries WITH OUT functioning Governments Saudi clearly doesn't apply. So weather people like to talk about shadows governments and what not haha. As ban goes and why the ban would be put in place 9/11 is not relevant. I feel my standing on this is getting over played simply due to people refusing to concern themselve with straight facts. I don't even think a ban is that important haha, I've simply just defended it on a facts basis. There are other ways to help the security of the country, Banning fb, twitter and all other media terrorist use would be way more affective. So from a fact stand point of what and why they want a ban and the countries they put on the list, 1,000,000% relevant? No, its zero. No matter how shady Saudi may be, which is a area i agree with you on.

What facts? Those provided by the US government? ROFL!!!

Saudi Arabia doesn't give a damn about terrorism...they are terrorists and give boat loads of cash to terrorists which makes pro Saudi people the ones who support terrorism.

I find myself wondering two things:

1.) Is fighting terrorism possibly the most counterproductive thing we could be doing?

2.) Is terrorism truly motivated by religious ideology, or is it another economic war hiding behind the mask of religion?

I feel that valid arguments for both questions could be made either way.
