Donald Trump running for president

I see the GOP distancing themselves from Trump and then it's business as usual. Trump isn't the worst thing to happen to a political party.

True, but they've been on the decline for years now. And this almost seems like the proverbial nail in their coffin. They need a bit of a shakeup/reboot.

If you really wanna go by the two separate entities theme, how can you say the GOP has been on the decline for years when just 2 years ago the democrats got what Obama call a "shellacking?"

We'll have to agree to disagree on them being on a decline for years. There are many other positions aside from the President...some would argue much more powerful positions.

You still think both parties are one in the same, but tell me this, would the GOP ever legalize gay marriage? Their policies are too different to be considered the same party, even by tin foil hat standards. Behind the scene, they both succumb to corporate greed, but they are not the same party.

The GOP has lacked any real leadership and has been out of touch for a long time now. All they are good at is ensuring that nothing gets done. Is "shellacking" considered a measurement of how strong the party is? Or is it more a measurement of how much of an a$$hole they can be..... Who cares about 'shellacking'..... The people want to see progress, they want the government to actually get **** done.

Power sure, but they've been out of touch for a long long time now... Honestly, when was the last time the GOP did anything groundbreaking or positive for Americans.

Power is not a measurement of success.

Of course it is. You might not like that fact, but power has been and always will be a measurement of success. And you can make that same argument for Democrats since you seem to think they're different. They're all in it for themselves and also don't confuse out of touch for simply not caring.

They're so out of touch they won last 2 midterm elections in dramatic fashion along with winning a huge majority of down ballot state and local elections.

A success for whom though?

Politicians are supposed to be servants of the people (supposed to be). A measure of success on a political front would be how much they've actually achieved and accomplished. Accomplishing power for themselves and not serving the people, this is not what I would call a success. It's a failed government/party.

But what else would one expect from the party of 'no'.

Those are little frivulous policies they argue about. The institution remains intact. The Federal Reserve, the IRS, boody wars, the Military Industrial Complex, the ripping of our freedoms and liberties provided by our Bill of Rights and Constitution. They are all heavily supported, lobbied, financed, etc....by most of the same people. Once the doors close its deals as usual. People within the parties debate the frivolous policies s much as each other you will see agreements all the time, some genuine, some not.

Its called a "duopoly." Lets say tomorrow they announce China will become a democracy. People can choose between China Red and China Blue. All the same people of the government with different views are divided in each color group, are all financed by the same institutions and people get an illusion of choice, but meanwhile all the competition is run and operated by the same people.

Wether the GOP or Democrats have "real leadership" that is the eye of the beholder. You and I can really only speak for ourselves, but "both" sides have their fanatics and superheroes.

Progress will get done once we go backwards and restore what was set here for us and get rid of this duopoly in Washington in order to truly go forwards, but thats just my opinion.

You keep attacking one side and yet never give me an example when I ask you for one that supports why the democrats are so great in your eyes. So again, when was the last time a democratic politician did anything positive for Americans?

The same thing can be said about the Democrats, they both are the same failure.

Of course broken record time, groundbreaking and positive is the eye of the beholder. Someone who got an Obamaphone considers that the happy point in American history.

Id say a success for the famous saying "top 1%er's" which is really the top 1% of the 1%.

Come on, they are both the party of no, lets get real here my friend.

This below vvvv and lets not forget that Obama ended the Afghan war a decade AFTER he leaves office, and that he announced we will live on Mars 2 weeks after Elon Musk announced his plan to live on Mars.

They would if they thought it would get them more votes than it would cost them. The democrats did the math and took that gamble. Hillary hasn't changed her personal view on that. She simply realized that the republicans were being stubborn about a group of voters and decided to try and court them. There will always be groups of people in thie country that go from being something that serves as a scapegoat and target to being a commodity in an election. It wasn't that long ago that it was blacks, mexicans, and then homosexuals. It might not be the next election cycle, but it won't be long before the parties are fighting over who can get the Muslim vote. It's the same as it ever was...the names just change.

I keep doing nothing. I simply said that the party of 'no' does not get much done. They take away freedoms and have slowed down any sort of progress. Nobody has asked me to name Democratic accomplishments, so I have not listed them. I did not think that was necessary in order to post opinions.

The GOP's game is to take away our freedoms and rights, unless it's regarding guns.

The Democrats want progress. The GOP wants regression. Come on man lol this is politics 101

I've asked you twice today alone lol. Literally in the post that you responded to with this, I asked you.

Those 'frivulous policies' have changed the lives/freedom of thousands/millions of people in a very drastic way.

These very people vote for war mongering politicians who effect the very lives (by death and terror) of millions of people around the globe. How can I pat them in the back?

Who keeps extending the Patriot act? Who supports the NSA and spying on the American people and warrentless wiretapping? Who signed the National Resource Preparedness act? Who has subpoenaed more journalists than all the presidents combined since the WWI Espionage act?

Who has a kill list in their back pocket and murdered American citizens without judicial process?

Who forced the entire country including poor people against their will to buy health insurance?

Who supports TSA and the groping of millions of Americans at airports?

Who has been the more stubborn when it comes the Freedom of Information act more than George Bush?

Thats ALL that Democrat Obaaammaaaaa!

Come on, what are you thinking? Have you payed attention the last 8 years? Its going to get worse with Hitlery because she will continue and expand on all of this.

To say its the GOP taking our freedoms leaving out their partners in crime is ridiculous and delusional.

I dont even wanna get started on the party of "NO" but for one the Democrats are the party of NO when it come to our freedoms and liberties just like the GOP are the party of NO.

How dare you make him rely on facts lol. He has opinions man! Online opinions lol. He doesn't have time for things like examples or the truth.

I'm talking about before today, since you say I keep attacking one side but never talk about the other. Do we constantly have to post a defense in order to post any criticism?

Furthermore, I'm not a democrat. Even in my own country, I vote for the moderate party, not the democrats (in Canada the democrats = the NDP, whereas the Liberal party is moderate)

You want me to post things I like about the libertarians? They're the closest party I come to liking down here. I'm truly confused by your post. I have no need to defend the democrats, the libertarians or anyone else in order to attack the GOP.

The Dems have passed some great laws in the past 8 years though, they've made history. I don't believe in everything they are doing but I do believe overall that they support progress, and it's a fact that the GOP does not.

We've been through this before

I'm not a Democrat

And yes, the GOP is the party of "no". No progress, no freedom (unless it's with guns or maybe freedom to grab some pu$$y). All they've done the past 8 years is slow down politics to a standstill and make sure that NOTHING gets done.

We've been through this before

I'm not a Democrat

With me your debating that they are a separate entity from Democrats, Im just trying to prove they are exactly the same entity.

You do settle for what you think is the lesser of evils as to where I believe for the most part the lesser of evils is the same evil, and in the case of Democrats and Republicans there is no lesser of evil simply because they are 1 of the same evil.

Blah blah blah lol

Im not settling for the lesser of any evil, I'm not a ****ing American!! Lol you are slightly insane bro

I can also get free healthcare in Canada. The **** you talking about

Oh stop, I can throw in a joke here and there.

You dont pay Canadian taxes anymore? How does that work? Im figuring a citizen is always a citizen entitles to the benefits at home right?

Nothing is free though unless a doctor volunteers to treat you out of his own generosity.

You said you would vote for Hitlery this election. I know you cant vote, that doesnt matter to me your still settling for the lesser of the two evils in your own mind from my perception.

Of course Im insane, thats the way to live life!!!!

How dare you make him rely on facts lol. He has opinions man! Online opinions lol. He doesn't have time for things like examples or the truth.

So according to you, as a Canadian, I need to defend the Democrats in order to make a statement saying that I don't agree with the GOP's policies and that I think they've been nothing but blocking progress down here? You crazy too lol

I think it would be a good debate on allowing someone like you who has lived here for a decade with an American job a possibility to vote btw.

Does the Family Guy group on here need a Brian, because that sums you up perfectly. You continually make statements on here as if you are an authority and every single time sometimes asks you to back it up, you can't. It would be fine if you presented them as your opinion, but you state things as fact that are complete lies or are things that you simply don't understand. Even this ****ing statement "The Dems have passed some great laws in the past 8 years though, they've made history. I don't believe in everything they are doing but I do believe overall that they support progress, and it's a fact that the GOP does not." You just make a bunch of vague statements without a single example or any substance at all.

You posted opinions on two parties (please see above reference of your own ****ing post!). You give examples of neither. I asked for examples. WHAT DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND?!?!

Look guys, you're not going to convert me into a Conservative. I prefer Liberal policies and I don't need to back this up. I prefer to move forward and not live in the past, and I do not need to list a set of laws or policies that the democrats have pushed in order to back up my political preferences. By now we all should also understand that I despise the American political system, and if you don't understand this then now you do.

Liberal policies can range anything from supporting compassionate policies to help the people and human rights to supporting war mongering blood thirsty terrorists as seen today with liberals voting for Obama and now Hitlery, so I dont think thats a good label for you. Its to vague.

Conservatives are all over the place too.

You can make an easy debate that Dump is far more Liberal than Hitlery....Hitlery for the most part reminds me much of George Bush. Some of the Bush's are openly even voting for Hitlery.

This would make your preferences the opposite of what you think they are.

The issue some people take is that progress, or change for the sake of change, isn't inherently a good thing. So while your "fact" is that democrats have been progressive, and are "moving forward," some people argue that the direction forward isn't the right direction. Now, that doesn't mean stagnation and complacency is the correct course of action either, but I still say the two parties are more similar than you think when it comes down to what the Presidents do when office recently (look at Bush and Obama).

How great is that wonderful and groundbreaking Obamacare going? Next year premiums go up 25% and some folks will have only 1 choice of provider in the exchange. Progress to help people. I thought Obama kept saying it would save people money.

More groundbreaking progress of the dems, namely Obama, getting slapped down by a court. How many times has this happened, reversing his "progress"?

In Arizona they are going up 50 to 75 % with no choice of carrier.

Now thats the progress Obama was looking for when the people that finance him and paid him to brainwash the general soft hearted liberal public on how he is the savior of the planet and Obamacare is about the people, and not the people that wrote the bill which were and still are the profiteers.

$$$$$$$ !!!!!!!!! Caaachiiiinggggg!

Now lets see what Hitlery does as Wikileaks exposed that although she "supports" Obamacare from the beginning that she was really hoping for it to totally collapse the entire time. Thats when the money REALLY starts flowing in.

How's that election fraud treating you? This is the third state I've seen similar reports from, including NC and IL. Double check your selections before hitting the vote button.

I hear you, but I am definitely not speaking about progress for it's own sake. I am speaking about being up with the times, in touch with the people and with our true needs. And I'm also speaking about personal liberties and freedom, not constant restrictions. My idea of proper governing isn't to live in the past nor is it to over-govern.

Over the last 4 years our government has been far too concerned with gay, cross gender, abortion and illegals immigrant issues of the raging few (their voter base) and lost focus on the economy, national security, health care, foreign policy, national debt and the primary issues of the silent majority. That kind of change is self serving and irresponsible.

That's because they are shifting our culture to become more Marxist so people can call the government to force equality and destroy private property.
