Donald Trump running for president

I know. My company does several projects for Orbital/ATK , one of those companies.

NASA also does more than just space. They do a lot of climate and environmental work as well.

While the current state of the entire program is shiit, and we can point fingers this way or that, let's not try and act like the Right would be in support of these things in the same light. They don't, and they wouldn't. So sure, things might not be as good as they should, but they can certainly be worse!!

Actually the right has been in support of nasa in the past. Reagan was soooo pro nasa. Now frankly i dont know if that is still true though

I think your the "climate change man made" guy. Being that you respect NASA, alot of NASA scientists and astronauts agree with those right wingers and question man made climate change.

Looks like people have a new conservative independent option. Seems like the Never Trump Conservatives are banding together now for this new option to support an ex-CIA agent / current chief policy director:

Dont like this....taking votes away from Johnson. A vote for that hack is a vote for both Trump and Hitlery.

according to trumps speech today my taxes go from 35% to 15%...GO TRUMP!!!

He had his tax plan on his website for a long time now.....now I'm the no tax guy but I'll take that over the current status quo. I'd be shocked if not only he clung to that but he also had that passed through corporate congress.

There was a little calculator I saw back when Bernie was still in the running, and taxes were crazy high with Bernie, around status quo with Clinton, and lower with Trump. I'm not sure how accurate it was though, but it sounded right at the time, haha.

if trump is elected and my taxes go from 35% down to 15% I might even be able to take a vacation next year, lol....and hire a few more workers!!!

vacation hell---if Hillary is elected I won't even be able to retire until I am 85, and will probably have to let go a few workers!!!

GO TRUMP

I would rather see them do talent shows skit on the last friday of every month in a maximum security prison.

Say what you want but Trump's plans sound like an America I want to live in. CNN wasted no time trying to pick apart every aspect of it. It's a good thing I trust a successful businessman more than any commentator on CNN.

if CNN is against it then it has to be good!!! I watched trumps speech today, and ate it up...very proud of him for keeping his cool when those ignorant women acted the fool.

It is cool though that the level of lies he tells within every few minutes is so high, that news channels are now fact checking his speeches in real time. You have to be a special kind of full of shiit to warrant that type of treatment.

the shlt meter for a Hillary speech would be spinning so fast it would take flight.

the news channels don't even bother fact checking Hillary, they just assume she is lying....

News flash, you can do that with just about every politician out there; only showing and singling out one candidate for it shows obvious bias...

Awesome read, thanks for sharing. Loved this quote from the article as it really rings true in today's social media influenced world - "Thinking takes too much time: it gets in the way of the immediacy of the online experience."

74% of Republicans in the U.S. Senate and 53% in the House of Representatives deny the validity of climate change despite the findings of the U.S. National Academy of Sciences and every other significant scientific organization in the world;

Based on this quote alone this is a heavily biased article btw.

Wish there was a face palm emoji

Here is a facepalm...they forgot to include it in the corporate psychology today article.

Eventually the sham is going to give, and the latest letter signed by 50 NASA experts, with more than 1000 years of combined professional experience, is a sure sign the gig’s about over.

…..unproven remarks…..not substantiated…..hundreds of well-known climate scientists…..tens of thousands of other scientists publicly declaring their disbelief…..science is NOT settled…..unbecoming of NASA’s history…..advocacy of an extreme position…..damage to the exemplary reputation of NASA…..even the reputation of science itself…”

Letters to the top don’t get any more blunt than that.

And how many tens of billions have these crackpots at GISS cost the taxpayers?

Here’s the letter:

March 28, 2012
The Honorable Charles Bolden, Jr.
NASA Administrator
NASA Headquarters
Washington, D.C. 20546-0001

Dear Charlie,

We, the undersigned, respectfully request that NASA and the Goddard Institute for Space Studies (GISS) refrain from including unproven remarks in public releases and websites. We believe the claims by NASA and GISS, that man-made carbon dioxide is having a catastrophic impact on global climate change are not substantiated, especially when considering thousands of years of empirical data. With hundreds of well-known climate scientists and tens of thousands of other scientists publicly declaring their disbelief in the catastrophic forecasts, coming particularly from the GISS leadership, it is clear that the science is NOT settled.

The unbridled advocacy of CO2 being the major cause of climate change is unbecoming of NASA’s history of making an objective assessment of all available scientific data prior to making decisions or public statements.

As former NASA employees, we feel that NASA’s advocacy of an extreme position, prior to a thorough study of the possible overwhelming impact of natural climate drivers is inappropriate. We request that NASA refrain from including unproven and unsupported remarks in its future releases and websites on this subject. At risk is damage to the exemplary reputation of NASA, NASA’s current or former scientists and employees, and even the reputation of science itself.

For additional information regarding the science behind our concern, we recommend that you contact Harrison Schmitt or Walter Cunningham, or others they can recommend to you.

Thank you for considering this request.

Sincerely,

(Attached signatures)

CC: Mr. John Grunsfeld, Associate Administrator for Science
CC: Ass Mr. Chris Scolese, Director, Goddard Space Flight Center

Great read! This pretty much sums it up,

"We’re creating a world of dummies. Angry dummies who feel they have the right, the authority and the need not only to comment on everything, but to make sure their voice is heard above the rest, and to drag down any opposing views through personal attacks, loud repetition and confrontation."

This is all I see nowadays on most Facebook posts or forum comments....so sad.
