Donald Trump running for president

I don't support gay rights, but I'm not against them.
I don't support dudes walking in the wrong bathroom, I don't support my kids learning about dudes ****ing in school.
Gays can gay together all they want.
I actually know a few, cool people and funny as hell.
Just like a regular person.

Rights? Give em. But things like, walking into the other bathroom, nope.
Born with a dick, go to the men's room.

Weve already agreed (for the most part, i think) that the only way to go about the bathroom situation is a genitalia based policy or unisex bathrooms, so you're gonna have to figure out a different debate topic than that one.

lol, I have consciously been limiting my participation in this thread because I could spend half my day catching up with all the activity that goes on here, and half a day responding to it.

It is pretty amazing that such an inflammatory thread can make it to 267 pages. I think it speaks to the group of people in here that it can get heated and still not explode.

I think that switching topics at times helps alleviate tensions as well. After a certain point, continuing to discuss an issue when both sides are firm in their beliefs only leads to anger and shouting, but we manage to change the subject (and eventually come back to it later) before too much of that happens.

It was known as the Cornhusker Kickback. They exempted 1 institution called Nellnet, in order to bribe Democrat Ben Nelson to vote for Obamacare since he was the last holdout. Of course Nellnet is based in Nebraska. Without Nelson's flip, Obamacare wouldn't have passed.
 
In addition, to comply with the complex budget reconciliation rules, some of the savings from the education changes had to be redirected to pay for parts of the health care legislation.

Because of the shenanigans required to pass the Unaffordable Care Act, they spent the education savings to help pay for it.

What does DT need the extra money for? CNN and Fox talk about him all day every day. So as far as publicity, good or bad it's out there. He has a much smaller campaign staff than Hillary so that's less money. I have yet to see how him having less campaign money is a bad thing, if you don't need it. What good is a billion dollars if you have nothing to spend it on? Hillary has more money, ok and I still won't vote for her. She could have a billion dollars, doesn't change my vote.

America is 70% Centrist. So why are we letting 15% from the left and 15% from the right control our nation? We need to support Independent and Centrist candidates, or risk losing another election to special interests.

US politics.....lets pass a financial budget, and right before we vote on it we will sneak in ban of guns at parks and throw in 2% tax on soda for good measures.

Yeah I remember when they snuck in college loans for Obamacare. That happened near the end too if I recall correctly.

You have to look into history a bit back....when her husband took office they fired well over 100 lawmakers and he and his wife selectivity replaced them with their handpicked people.

Hitlery runs the justice department. Thats why even our good peeps at the FBI and other organizations dont have much power to officially press charges on her.

Keep in mind, its possible Hitlery loses her seat after the convention if charges go through and she is replaced by the DNC (no voting) and they pick Biden or Kerry. This is the backup plan.

Of course you don't have to accept other people's lifestyles, but that isnt what equal rights is. Seriously. You are taking a simple term and creating your own definition for the word. That defeats the purpose. If someone has a LBGT club, that's because they want the minority community to be adequately represented in the community.

Are you ashamed to be heterosexual like many people of the LGBT community are ashamed of being a part of?

Are you constantly degraded for being a white male like so many other minorities are for simply being who they are?

The above reasons are a small snippet of why these communities have large groups to help others feel identified to something. The second you create another group for a majority population, for the sole purpose of undermining what these other groups are trying to do, you are attributing and actively contributing to keeping them as a minority.

Can I equally support the degradation of minorities? No. Equality is about affording minorities the same rights and liberties that majorites get. You don't get to create the term for equal rights. What would be counter-intuitive is if the LGBT community then stated they wanted more civil rights and liberties than those of the heterosexual community but they don't. They just wanted to get married like what everyone else already can.

Yes, I myself have been constantly degraded for who I am, both for being white and being sicilian. Ive also been degraded for being fat and non-athletic. Ive also had gays portray an attitude of superiority over me and others. There is more including being degraded for being poor when I was young, but Ill stop there.

I didnt use any of that as an excuse, I picked myself up and made myself better over and over again. Actually, I love criticism, it fuels me to further achieve. Life isnt fair, grow a thick skin and stop using racism or sexual preference as an excuse for political gain.

I support more freedoms and liberties for gay people than most gay people do. This is a fact. At least unlike some people, I want to arm them and empower them.

The above reasons are a small snippet of why many of these communities both minority and sexuality are full of hypocrisy and fuel division.

When I say degraded, I don't mean personally abused. That can happen to anyone regardless of race, sex, religion or culture. You can never judge an entire population by the actions of a small number of that population.

Up until recently, women and African Americans had no say in judicial process - it took years to change that. Taking away the rights of someone based entirely on sex and race (which you have zero control over) is not supporting equality. Equality is affording those same, basic liberties to everyone. Women and African American groups did not fight to have more power than those in the majority, they fought just to be treated as human.

The LGBT want their community to be treated fairly and afforded the same basic human rights as those in the heterosexual community. Allowing them to marry is a step In that direction because now they have the same rights in that regard as those in a heterosexual relationship.

You guys are taking the word 'equal' at face value and ignoring what the term actually means in this context. Look up Human Rights and Civil rights and that will give you a better picture of what the term means and who it applies to.
 
Just support and enforce the bill of rights and constitution for all and we are on the same page.... gay, tranny whatever.

Why do people want government approval for marriage anyway? Just marry it's nobodies business including the governments.
 
Problem too is yesteryears civil rights movement is far the same as it is today. These days it's just ridiculous. Old movement I respect to a certain degree.

here is an interesting tidbit about gun laws...if you are merely ACCUSED of domestic violence you cannot legally purchase a firearm....if you are on fbi terrorist watch list you CAN legally purchase a firearm.

I understand why someone accused of domestic violence should not be allowed to purchase a firearm, but if the government is willing to take away someone's 2nd amendment right for a mere accusation, then why shouldn't the government feel the same responsibility for someone on a fbi terrorist watch list. no due process is afforded to the person accused of domestic violence, I don't know why the same principle is not applied to a potential terrorist.
