Awesome view from the stadium dude. Wow. Best city in the world...highly debatable.

it is sad that it had to happen, it could have been avoided had Hirohito accepted the terms for peace that the Nazi's did!!!

Personally, I find it's no excuse.
They could have letter bombed hiroshima with the advise that everyone looks in direction of the ocean at 0 hour, detonate the nuke above the ocean and THAT would have been a justified use of the bomb.

Nice. Florence is one of my favorite places even though it's basically all tourists and random people trying to sell you counterfeit designer bags and sunglasses.

True. I'm glad we didn't stay in Florence. We stayed right outside of the city in Impruneta. They weren't as bad as the people on the beach in Barcelona. Those people were ruthless

Arguing in a thread because some guy wants to tell the OP that his 1,000 calorie diet is good. He's in a calorie deficit and his fat loss "stalling" has nothing to do with this........Oh really? So you basically starve your clients and then go in forums and demand people accept this as GOOD advice? Moron!

I agree with what Truman said 'thank GOD we were the first to develop it'....I feel certain that had Germany or japan developed the A bomb 1st the world would be a much different place, and many of us whose ancestors were in America at that time may not even have been born....

this is my memorial day salute for those brave souls who have made the ultimate sacrifice to give us the peace and freedom to feel free to discuss what we want in this thread, even if it is anti-government. GOD BLESS AMERICA

There was a show a number of years ago that showed how Japan actually successfully blew up the first nuke in Korea....fortunately it wasnt portable yet.

Damn right...I have had that 9/11 thread all these years and Im still alive!!!!!!

As an atheist I have no problem also saying God Bless America....and thanks to all the troops for your service!

1,000 calories is nuts!

1,050 sounds about right, then after several years take a diet break and bump it up to 1,075.

(not srs)

look here my man, over 60 million people died in WW2. the estimates are that at least an additional 500,000 American lives would have been lost invading japan.

lol...you are not very good at history, even after the 1st bomb was dropped at Hiroshima the Japanese refused to surrender...it took dropping a 2nd bomb on Nagasaki to get the japanese to surrender and even then they were hesitant.

based on that fact what impact do you think exploding the bomb over the ocean would have had?

60 million lives lost with another 500,000 American lives at risk, I think that Truman was justified in saving American lives...what if your father or grandfather would have have been one of those lost.....

you have to think that if japan or Germany would have developed the bomb 1st they would not have hesitated to use it...to be apologetic for saving 500,000 American lives is just plain un-American, imo.

to all those sob's who have been defacing and destroying veteran memorials-you can go straight to hell mother f*ckers!!!

No 500.000 American lives were lost, an invasion never took place, it's purely speculation. After Japans ally Germany was defeated, (now speculating as you did) Japan could have reached an agreement and cease fire, stopping hostility towards the US.
A "show-off" of the bomb (or two, three, four of them) could have been enough, or not. Fact is that Japan was severely hindered at the time they were bombed, as what I know, they lost almost their hole fleet beforehand, how would they be an immediate menace for the US, without having anything to attack with?

Speculation.

Yep, what a fugg-up. They were like:

We live on an Island with volcanoes and earthquakes, lets build a lot of nuclear power plants!
Damn...

Considering a island where the people suffered such nuclear catastrophe, its shocking they let those plants go up.

They should have build a Trump-wall against tsunami immigration.

I truly believe that the flaw in the design was planned .

I remember when that happened Michio Kaku said all they need to do is bury the whole site with silica, it was really simple.

Something certainly is screwed up over there.

Wrong post to quote

Being as you probably watched LooseChange did you also watch/read about the speculation the the U.S. actually instigated Pearl Harbor attacks to start a war?

Yes, I dont always try to bring everything up but personally I think it was all instigated by Rosevelt and his financial backers to justify war and enlist millions of Americans who at that time were non-interventionist. There were warnings from Australia as the planes were on their way, and some sanctions triggered the assault in the first place.

That makes the Abombing of Japan was a product of false flag staged by the global elite which makes me feel as if it was an unjustified attack in some ways.

#1. the japanese were not Iraqi's, shock and awe would not have impressed them. I give the Japanese full credit, they were amazing warriors many of whom lived by the bushido code of death before dishonor and they truly meant it.

the japanese were close to building their own atomic bomb. there is even some evidence they detonated a atomic bomb in korea. what is clear is that the germans and Japanese were aware of nuclear fussion and realized that chain reactions could be produced...the fact is America was not the only country aware of and working on atomic weapons.

had we not bombed japan and left them alone thinking they were defenseless and have nothing to attack us with would have been a dramatic error with potentially catastrophic results.

if you think that saying the Japanese or germans would have used atomic weapons against us if they had developed them first is speculaton, then I speculate on your sanity.

bull****...even if they knew the planes were coming I am sure that Roosevelt did not make the Japanese attack pearl harbor. millions of lives were lost during WW2, actually 3% of the entire worlds population died in that war...you put shame on all those brave men and women who lost their lives by saying the bombing of japan to end that war was unjustified!!!

what in the hell is wrong with you people????

I didn't say Rosevelt bombed or made Japan bomb Pearl Harbor, but a false flag as in they allowed it to happen.

I put to shame Rosevelt and his banking elite, not the soldiers.

it doesn't change the fact that the Japanese DID bomb pearl harbor!!!

I can't believe you would say that dropping the A bomb was unjustified!!!

Unjustified as in we should have had no involvement in the first place, as most Americans felt at that time.... but people wanna make money and the military industrial complex is hungry.

It's the same thing with Vietnam, agent orange was used and till this day people suffer with serious birth defects....but is was just another war set by false flag to justify war and profits. You can't say it was justified to use those chemicals since the whole war was for $$$&&&$$$

Rosevelt instigated them to do so through economic warfare, it worked and his buddies take some serious cash and power.

Just the same old interventionist policies.

What I know from history at school was heavily influenced by the regime, as I'm born in east Germany. Could it be that even you are indoctrinated by biased history?
To my understanding, Japan was economically destroyed at the time of the bomb. They endured famine and a complete blockade by sea and were on the brink of surrender, correct me if I'm wrong.
I may have to read about it again, but nah, not that interesting for me.

If others would have used the bomb against civilians, if they could? Speculative, but could be.

if you doubt for even a micro second that hitler would have dropped the bomb if he had one then your schooling is sorely lacking...the same goes for the Japanese.

It's even speculative if Germany and more so Japan ever wanted to do anything and be involved in war to the US.

there might just be a little difference between viet nam and WW2...

geez, I can't believe this crap.

sorry. I don't even want to participate in this crap anymore, I'm done!!!

what in the hell is wrong with you people????

What's wrong with us?
Nowadays I can't hardly tell lies from truth anymore -and before that I only THOUGHT I knew.
We all get indoctrinated by the big fish in power. Wars are financed with our money, the justifications for those wars are doubtful to say the least.
We are skeptics, trying to understand the big gears who grind in the background.

Sure different war, but both staged by false flags just like afghan and Iraq after 9-11.

And it's not anti-troops to question what those in power have our people go through. I consider it patriotic.

Stay thebigt , having different viewpoints does not make people "bad". Personally, I investigate sometimes their claims and change my position
No one of us was alive back then. History was told by the winners and yep, people died and still die today.
If you want a discussion, don't expect uniformity.
