I just dont support partial birth abortions on a global scale.

Im not well studies with all the laws, but on a global scale I know its legal in places, and even forced.

Its a fight because pro-abortion people still (not all) would want to legalize it.

Anyways, Im not a anti-abortion guy, I just think at a certain stage its straight murder.

No, worse. He promoted infanticide, which is killing after natural birth. I have the book, its called Ecoscience by John P. Holdren. He also wanted to put chemicals in the water to sterilize the population and other things. I absolutely agree with this....how can there be laws on the books saying a woman has a right to do what she wants with her body, but then have laws against assisted suicide?

Third trimester starts at 27 weeks, but a large percentage of babies born at 25 weeks have a very high survival rate. 25 weeks is still typically considered legal abortion period.

The Iraq War had nothing to do with bringing aid to anyone, for example. The war in Afghanistan has done nothing to curb terrorism, it was a war of pride, and a VERY expensive pointless war. If anything, terrorism is now worse than ever.

you never know how history will play out....just from looking and not knowing the facts it appears that Vietnam[although still a communist country]may have actually benefited from our intervention...Vietnam went from a dirt poor, truly third world country to what appears to be a thriving economy.

it might play out that muslims grow weary of terrorist tyrants and turn Afghanistan and Iraq into thriving countries also, you just never know how history will play out.

Yes, we had no effect in Afghanistan at all. Do you remember the proxy wars? We aided the Taliban in fighting off the Russians. Because the US wanted to have the most influence in the middle east. Now the Taliban is in power and there's nothing we can do about it.

Iran (Persia) was a thriving country until the ultra-conservative-religious took over. Iraq has turned to sh!t, and Afghanistan hasn't changed one bit.

All the US did in the middle east was to topple governments and aid rebels / terrorists and allowed a MAJOR power vaccum to form, allowing terrorists to come into power.

I just dont get it, its a real freaking live baby. You can play checkers with it, maybe not chess yet but really Id put the cutoff week for legal abortion maybe at 12 weeks tops.

I can agree with killing yourself for certain, its not like it stops people. Just feel really bad for people that medically cant get up out of bed and jump off a building, they are just stuck as vegetables waiting and waiting, very sad.

If my government was bad, but my family was at least having a roof over their heads and food on the table, and some foreign country came to liberate us but bombed my house and destroyed our resources, guess who my new enemy is?

And with all that terrorism its still a extremely rare and minor cause of death. Im worried about my neighbors more than stupid terrorists, lol.

Driving is far more dangerous than terrorism, so is lightening.

Anyways, I support good old fashioned police work to counter terrorism. The US dropped billions of dollars in weapons in the middle east, and ISIS has most of them. Interventionism has not worked, and will not work. Support our cops and 2nd Amendment, Ill kick those terrorists ass myself.

look at the history...iran was thriving under the shah, who was our ally. the shah was also a tyrant but he helped keep order in the middle east..when the shah was facing over throw by radical islamic's he reached out to jimmy carter to help out...by turning his back on the shah, AND NOT INTERVENING ON THE SHAHS BEHALF, THE NATION OF ISLAM WAS BORN....the whole damned mess in the middle east could have POSSIBLY been avoided by carter standing up for the shah.

I have no 1st hand knowledge of how life is now for the average person in Vietnam, but it sure appears that the nation as a whole is thriving...the war with the U.S thrust Vietnam into the 20th century, imo.

Wasnt the Shah a puppet regime installed by the US anyways? So if we didnt intervene to begin with, there never would have been a cause to intervene to counter our previous intervention.

Afterwards Nixon opened up and hugged and blew Mao Tse Tung, who was the most brutal dicator of the past century who makes ISIS look like a bunch of tooth-fairies. Mao was worse than Hitler. China is our economic brother now.

iran 'celebrated' 2,500 years of continuous rule by a monarchy under the shah. the shah was a strong advocate of secularization and modernization.

rather he was a puppet of the west or not I would rather have lived under the shah's rule than the current 'leaders' of iran, just my opinion...jimmy carter made a crucial mistake, imo.

for the record I had just turned 18 when I voted for jimmy carter, the 1st and last time I voted for a democrat for president...

I would really like to know what Gutterpump Persian friends think of this????
