Donald Trump running for president

Trump is a cartoon character with an overinflated ego. Almost everything he says is a complete and total lie.

HE is the one inciting the most hate and divisiveness, IMO.

the most hate and devisiveness...let me dissect this if you will...

8 years ago[pre-Obama] trump's message would be even less popular than ben carson's message. the reason why this thread is so heated is because trump IS VERY POPULAR...WHY?

Obama has divided and enraged so many people that they are willing to support a message that 8 years ago would have fallen on deaf ears. I firmly believe Obama's divisiveness over the last 8 years[I am counting the year preceeding his actual election] is the reason why trump's message is being so well recieved today!!! had there been no Obama there would be no trump, in my opinion!!!

Replace Obama's name with The Media and I believe it.

The media works. And Right Wing media (yes I'll call it that) has whipped this country into a froth. It has bred a new breed of crazy. A whole new dimension of propaganda, conspiracy, and hate. And the Liberal media has capitalized on their moment. They have forced Political Correctness and Reparations down our throat. I use the term Reparations not just in terms of race, but for any group that has been oppressed. It's one thing to be equal, it's another to turn everything into a protest. **** I'm Liberal and just watching the Oscars the other night I was like, OK we Get It!!! So the Liberal has gone to as far extremes in terms of forcing what they believe on others. Or in front of their faces. But the explosion of Fox News has made hating Obama cool. In the most obvious fashion. But at least I can say the Liberal media promotes their brand (minus some of the race stuff), with humor, sarcasm and a general sense of equality as the base. Right Wing media has made it scary and angry. Bred a breed of terrorists, well armed, fired up, scared, paranoid, and pissed off. There is no agreement on anything in the media's eyes. Most of us regular people share similar views on many things. Of course it takes actually talking with those people to find out how much you have in common. Because the title that the media has given us is a completely clear opinion of the other person and what they stand for. SUPPOSEDLY

But literally, on "paper" the sides differ on everything. From religion to science to global warming to taxes to immigration to war to guns to abortion. There is no middle ground in the parties. So they want you to believe. And since you believe it, no action happens in Washington. No middle ground is actually achieved. I mean these Clowns' jobs depend on whether you like them or not. Not because they did something that worked. Because you like them. Politics is a freaking popularity contest. And boy oh boy, now they're celebrities. They are seriously arguing over who wears the most makeup. What the actual fuk? The media loves this. And so do we.

Obama has been a decent President. We have had worse, who didn't face the same frothing hatred and revolution readiness. The media has torn this country in half.

in the end, this sums it all up

That's a beautiful thing. I know many won't get it, but when you know every word it's spot on.

but where are the black folks?

lol...I couldn't help myself, I have let myself get too carried away today!!!!!:Eyecrazy:

I think the biggest problem with mainline Christian conservatives is their wanting everything in this country to be Christian.

I am a conservative Christian, whatever that means anymore. But America was never founded to be a Christian nation, nor will it become one. America offered religious freedom, amongst other things. That's why Protestants left Europe to come to America. But America will never become a "Christian" nation, ironically because Christians aren't unified.

Met a professor at a school I visited who contributed to a book interacting with different views of the creation account in Genesis. He is not an evolutionist, but stated that one of the guys he became great friends with from the book collaboration and still interacts with is an evolutionist. Out of the 4 writers, they disagreed the most. Polar opposites. But somehow they managed to get along.

I have plenty of democratic friends, but we get along just fine, despite our differences. Oh well. This isn't a Utopia.

Getting the popcorn, mixing religion and politics, wooohooo, let the **** storm begin!

You seem like a very down to earth, intelligent person. It's very rare to come across this within the mix of Conservatives on this board, or in general. Glad to have you here man. Beware of the trolling that will happen in this thread though lol

but its funny that when someone is going to give a testimony in a court of law- " so help me God" "in God we Trust" is on our currency. and
The Declaration has many references to God throughout the document. The most famous one is that men are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights. Although not required when a president is sworn in, presidents have stated "so help me God" believe this falls under the Judiciary Act 1788 or 1789.

why bother referencing a Supreme Being, if you dont intend to worship or abide by the rules and/or laws stated within that particular religion? Got into a good debate back in college and my answer, the founding fathers (as we know) did not want to fall under British Law and King etc- possibly referencing God would force any doubt of of stability to a new government. Have to remember back than, people thought differently and what God would not support the loss of life for a new country.

Oh boy I completely forgot how sensitive and soft liberals were. I apologize for offending anyone.

To clear up a few things.

1. I'm not a Christian. I don't believe in religion at all.
2. I'm not a racist. My family is mixed race.
3. I don't feel like the country needs to go back to the 1800s. I don't believe in big government. I don't believe the govt should have as much power as it has. I think people are too trusting of their govt and that will come back to haunt them.
4. I believe as a people Americans have gotten soft. Too easily offended. Too focused on being politically correct.
5. Time to stop worrying about offending people. Bring the pledge of allegiance back. Stand still and stand tall when the national anthem comes on.
6. Stop punishing the hard working for working hard and earning good money. It's not our job to carry the weight of the people that do not have the same work ethics.
7. Executive actions are unethical and illegal and need to all be repealed and the president needs to follow the law.
8. America is a capitalist society. Not a socialist society. The major believers in socialism are those that can't make it in a capitalist society. Or those who have yet to have to work in society. College kids living off mom and dads income come to mind big time when it comes to liberals and socialists.

These are just some of the reasons I vote republican.

Fixed. Don't apologize for how you feel. What a bunch of garbage on who thinks Socialist policy has a place.

i totally agree -

we have become a bunch of puzzyies- probably get sued for saying that lol (jk dont mean to offend anyone) and all this political correctness is a bunch of horse sh1t.
according to records of ancestors, my last name is shared with whites and blacks- most of my friends are black- and my wifes friends are mostly gay and im friends with them.
believe everyone has the right to choose who they should believe in if they choose too
hard working class gets screwed, but that is because the middle class has not done enough to put an end to that- the govt answer is to tax the rich, problem solved- most people are going to say, fine by me as long as i dont have to pay more-

good post

Why do republicans feel the need to come up with reasons that they think don't make them racist? Or homophobic? Or Islamophobic? Why the guilt? Why the need to appease others, even after explaining that America has been pussified?

whoooo meeeeee- lol

i was just agreeing with the above post- imho i could give a sh1t less if people dont my friends (black, white, gay or islamic or whatever). to me, life is way to short to be bothered with that crap. as long as we have trust and respect, were golden.

as far as being a party, its politics, all of it. until we have society that does away with classes and money- it will always be, the rich vs the poor- everyone else is in the middle

So "finding reasons" and defending yourself from irrational generalizations made by democrats are the same thing? Just because someone provides a real life example as to why the accusation is false it doesn't mean they are "finding reasons".

I'll explain to everyone why. It's for the reason that at least half of the republicans out there don't want to seem like total a$$holes in the public's eye but truthfully they are hypocritical cun7s who go to Church on Sunday's but hate anyone who doesn't share their same beliefs.

These people don't want everyone to know that they're actually burning crosses after church while in the midst of a gay circle jerk, whilst reading the Koran and simultaneously worshipping Satan. Then they go home drunk and beat their wives.

In my limited experience, people are often called racists, homophobes, etc. BEFORE they start automatically resorting to coming up with reasons why they are NOT those things.
I can't tell you how many times I've been called a racist just because I say that I think what some people are doing is dumb. Sorry, that doesn't make me racist. That just means if I think you're being an idiot, I think you're being an idiot. Doesn't matter what color your skin is.
People have taken to name-calling instead of trying to see the other side of things. You say one thing against the actions of a group of African-Americans, and suddenly you're a racist. It doesn't matter that you don't agree with their actions because it's not the logical way to pursue your goals, what matters nowadays is that you are a white person disagreeing with a non-white person.
Sorry, I go to Mizzou and every day there is a new protest over some stupid made up sh!t. I'm tired of it. I've tried to see their point of view but then an overwhelming amount of evidence just shows that they're just being morons. Very sick of everything automatically becoming a race issue, sexuality issue, etc.

Well when an ex-Grand Dragon of the KKK endorses you, you might be a racist. Just a logical conclusion that supporters of said candidate may have the same views.

And btw:

Just because someone ELSE supports him means HE is a racist? Come on dude. Im not supporting Trump one way or the other here..but this is just bull****. So what...if the black panther party supported a democratic candidate that candidate would be racist too?

Edit: didn't even read or look at the link lol. Hold on. Ah. Doesn't matter anyway. Point still stands.

The fact is that he didn't immediately denounce the endorsement. Even other Republicans are attacking him for it. Of course, that benefits them politically.

Instead he claimed an equipment issue or some other crap. He is using racism to get votes, IMO.

It was kind of a load of bull for him to claim he didn't know the guy, though. Even if he happens to not be racist.

Listen vote for me.ill put most of the amf on my cabinet

Solved

He may not be racist himself, but enough people of that ilk are responding to his messages that it makes you wonder.

I wonder about every current presidential candidate... Seems like the options get worse and worse every election.

Your judging an half of an entire group based on their political affiliation. Whats the difference between your stereotype of this group and racism anyways? If you wanna go by that Liberals arejust as bad and even worse on hating people anyone who question or challenge their belief set.

There is no reason for him to denounce this anyways, this is just political correctness. Your just trying to judge on a book's cover, its totally phony.

If I was asked these racist questions over and over again, Id start telling people to just go F themselves.

He may not be racist himself, but enough people of that ilk are responding to his messages that it makes you wonder.

So you really dont think any racists, rapists and murders are out there are voting for your buddy Bernie Sanders?

If thats the case you should never vote again, or your a racist, rapist and murdering supporting voter.

Hitler supported universal health care, which is what you support. Makes you wonder???

And by the way, the example you gave is what was used to call me a racist lol.
to be fair...you are the one who started all this racist calling nonsense!!!

directed at me for merely pointing out a fact that even your liberal supporters agreed with!!!

You're all racist scumbags

does anyone remember mitt Romney...I didn't think so. a boring man, a boring candidate, who ran a boring campaign.

when Obama beat Romney there was no passion, it is as if no one even cared. the republicans were oh well 4more years of Obama.

but many people feel that Obama went truly nuts in his 2nd term, and this time there is passion against him and his policies.

no matter if a republican wins or if a democrat wins the general election I don't see the losers just walking away with well wishes for this country.

It seems clear to me no matter who wins this election there are going to be troubling times ahead for this country.

Obama campaigned on a promise of uniting this country, I don' think that even the most diehard Obama supporter would think that he has accomplished this!!!
