Donald Trump running for president

So teachers are less productive than stockbrokers?

I dont wanna punish school teachers productive behavior either. I dont think they should pay more tax than a minimum wage worker because they worked hard in school and got themselves in a better position. No tax is better policy however.

If a stockbroker got himself into his position, and he good at what he does he should be entitled to whatever reward he can create out of his own production.

Who stopped the schoolteacher from being a stockbroker?

So everyone should only work in positions that make lots of money? That's pretty unrealistic.

Just a quick add...how you know a stockbroker didnt work harder and sacrificed more of his time, blood, sweat and tears than the school teacher?

People are at an individual liberty to choose their own career paths, its none of my business what people choose or choose what not to do.

All due respect, but that's a cop out answer.

So you think people choose to be poor on purpose?

All due respect, but that's a cop out answer.

Why? Im not into social engineering. Its not a cop out answer, Im being honest.

I can try to clarify more if you change your question around maybe?

All due respect, but that's a cop out answer.

So you think people choose to be poor on purpose?

Ive been very poor, I know what its like and what I had to do to change my life around. Im not rich. I dont hate rich people just because they got themselves into a better position than I have. Im not after their money. All I want is to keep what I earn. Even when I was poor I never signed up for welfare or food assistance, I am proud to take care of myself and am not after a free lunch.

So, everyone has the exact same circumstances, abilities, aptitudes and drive to get themselves out of poverty.

Broad generalisations much?

So you think people choose to be poor on purpose?

I have been around many poor people in my life, and I will tell you right now more than half are idiots. They make dumb choices, drink, do drugs, not go to school, not find a job.....this is life.

I want to help with absolute certainty the other poor people, people that just have bad circumstances and want to try to get out of it. I dont want to help them by playing robin hood, I have many other ideas to help them without the intrusion of other peoples liberties.

I think I answered this one in the very post I just made before. Just saying not ignoring here, lol

So now, people who are poor are just stupid or made bad choices?

It must be great to live in your world.

So if someone doesnt wanna get a job and wants sit a home and drink and do drugs, they deserve free shyt from hard working tax payers? That aint right, what you thinking? Your going to incentivize laziness. I never said all poor people are like that, dont put false statements on my type.

The first thing we need to do end all the wars, bring all our troops home, end the empire of base building around the globe and deal with the crisis we have at home with our vets who are either dying in hospital basements, committing suicide, homeless, have trauma....We can spend those saved billions of dollars and take care of them first, healthcare, food and shelter.

We can evict all the illegals in our home country that are being sheltered at the expense of our tax dollars and let homeless vets live there instead. The illegals need to go back home, we are broke and have no money for them.

Thats called helping our poor people and people in need here at home.

That can also be a great thing....money brings the best out of people, Rockefeller (and I am by no means a personal fan) bought us oil, Carnegie bought us steel....people innovate when there is an incentive there. Our sciences, medicine, tech....we may not be talking right now if there was no incentive to go after the money and punish productive behavior of we dont leave people alone to create their own unlimited market/reward out of it. Take out the incentive many people will become deadbeats. Also, they may go someplace else and our home will lose the economical benefits. America is still alright in those regards, thats why China is trying to change their policies to reduce bureaucracy and punishing productive behavior because they are losing most of their best people to us!

You just have to let people do what they want to do on their own and not punish productive behavior and simply enforce the Constitution and Bill of Rights protections for everybody and things will be alright and better off in the future.
c'mon ax1, you know history better than that...they don't call rockefeller and Carnegie robber barons for nothing!!!

I don't think anyone in their right mind would be pro capitalism without regulation!!!

I thought they were evil, much more so Rockefeller. You dont have to convince me on that, lol!

now you can agree that regulations on business are necessary....

Its just a little vague definition though,...this would be a whole different thread, but yeah Im open to seeing specific things. What happened to Trump? LOL

I would leave regulations to state laws though rather than the fed gov, the fed gov can step in when state laws violate their Constitution powers.

as to trump-he has made a fortune preying on the misfortunes of others, he is saying the right things, but I wonder what his true agenda is....on the other hand I would chose trump or even obama over that evil incarnate hillary Clinton!!!

I am confident Trump will give me easy posts next year in my big 9/11 thread...you watch!

If Hitlery wins I may completely opt out of political discussion and possibly move to China to seek more freedom.

Im also not totally against Unions, they have their BIG issues but I know some history along with personal experience with Union jobs in the mining industry.

Unions can certainly take part on regulatory affairs in some way which will help cover these issues.

you know, all kidding aside-I am really fearful of Hillary getting elected!!!

if I were retirement age I would seriously consider perth Australia, I was there in the navy and really liked it!!!

union's have played a major role with workers rights...but....Reagan took all of the bite out of unions, they are just bark now for the most part-unfortunately.

Trump gets elected, I'll move somewhere for sure lol. I've got friends worldwide, so lots of places to choose from hopefully.

You don't need to punish school teachers, the government does a fine job of that as is. Football teams get state funding to stay in the state. But schools get their funding cut.
A teacher and stockbroker are different people. They choose their jobs based on the type of person they are. Teachers help stockbrokers reach their potential. Also cops and firefighters put their lives on the line for less money than stockbrokers.

you mean salaries should be based on value to society?

If your talking which job I have more respect for and value, oh yeah for certain in general a school teacher...but not all school teachers, I judge them individually. Some are great, the others need to be fired but unions get in the way of that.

I had a tax question, I wouldnt agree with neither having the fruits of their labor taken from them. I would take teachers more at heart though.

clarify...that sounds like polititco talk-you running for office?

No. I believe the salaries for those jobs should be higher than they are. I also believe education should have A LOT more value than football.

Oh yeah....that for certain.

Id have them an immediate raise simply by eliminating the income tax. I love football and promote sports, but yeah maybe this should be limited to private education and have people pay for their kids to be involved. Id also refer to get those funds to teachers.

clarify...that sounds like polititco talk-you running for office?

The whole system is messed up, Id really just get rid of the Department of Education entirely and localize education to either the states, counties or village to village. I would also promote home schooling.

Charter Schools did a much better job in NYC, but mayor DeBlasio said it wasnt fair that their schools has students that were doing much better so to be fair he wanted to dissolve them, lol.....

Charter Schools are non-union as to where the teachers can be fired and not have job protections that take away their incentives to work hard, its an interesting topic I need to look more in to.

you running for office?

Yes...your more than welcome to put me in as a fill in. If Im president Im going to fix everything, the light will shine through the sky and the world will be perfect.

Yeah right, lol I wouldnt even vote for me!

No. I believe the salaries for those jobs should be higher than they are. I also believe education should have A LOT more value than football.

clarify...do you mean teachers should have more value than all athletes and entertainers?

clarify...do you mean teachers should have more value than all athletes and entertainers?

I think athletes and entertainers should be paid less than they are right now, but also that teachers should be paid more than they are currently.

I don't think anyone should be paid as much as some athletes and entertainers are, lol.

clarify...do you mean teachers should have more value than all athletes and entertainers?

Ill chip in too if you dont mind. I absolutely value good teachers over athletes and entertainers.

I do stick up for athletes and entertainers salaries. A product is created and put onto the market. People have a choice on whether to invest in that product or not. the product makes billions of dollars and athletes get rewarded off of that. Many other jobs are created that help support the industry, cameramen, journalists, to food vendors and sanitation duties. So much is created from a self generated industry, and nobody is forced to buy into it.

The problem really is the people, they vote their money into sports rather than education in many cases. I cant blame athletes for working their tail off to become who they are and be awarded an infinite amount of money for what people choose to put their money in. Its the people that put their money in it, they wont buy a $1000 ticket to see a high school concert front row even if all the money went to the teachers salaries or benefits.
