Donald Trump running for president

Oh so was I, I dunno where he lives, lol

Gotta do some Christmas shopping today. Have about half my family to still take care of.

My wife really loves the star wars movie, I got her one of those Droid BB-8's by Sphero.....Its one of the hottest gifts I think this year, this thing looks awesome!

That is one of the coolest things I've ever seen!! Is it available in Apple stores now?

I got it on Amazon yesterday....I have Prime with 2 day free shipping, I was expecting it to arrive on Tuesday but then I did upgrade $3.99 to ship 1 day faster.

It may or may not be at the store depending if its sold out, but I think the Apple store does carry them.

I would stay away from the Hasbro one (Target exclusive, nothing to do with the Sphere version,) it has an independent remote control and sounds come out of the device itself, but everything else is cheaply made and doesnt have autonomous mode. Its about half the cost but the Sphere version is a elegant masterpiece.

Yawn...As was already said, the police are already able to call in swat/Armed Response Vehicles over there, for some time now.

ARV's are crewed by authorized firearms officers, with more advanced training.

But your original statement implied there's so little crime and danger that London cops don't need guns. If they can't even wear their uniforms for fear of being attacked in certain areas. Sounds like US cops getting ambushed in America by thugs.

Learn to read without making things up. I stated that London is every bit as dangerous as any large American city. Not sure what you're talking about.

It makes no sense to me that London cops cant have guns. It makes no sense to me the people cant arm themselves either, but the fact that a cop has to call another unit at a time a gun is needed to fight crime is just downright ridiculous.

Pardon me for my misquotation. What can I do to earn the forgiveness of the highly educated and intilectual enlightened one?

I fail to see how cops properly doing their job is considered "unnecessary violence". Yeah, it looks bad when multiple cops are dispatched and all shoot a threat at the same time... but it's not like someone is supposed to call dibs on the kill.

This is just my opinion, but you don't need need 12 bullets to take down someone brandishing a kitchen knife.

For the sake of arguement, I could create a long list of alternate methods here to subdue someone like this, but I don't think it's necessary, it's common sense.

Dude learn to spot when someone is just doing a bit of simple trolling. That article about Aladdin, and that whole post yesterday was in jest. You make it too easy.

Then why aren't you a cop?

Yeah, but multiple cops trying to take out the same target equals multiple rounds fired. Quick responses like that aren't taken with much thought. I suppose LEO training can be improved though.

I know what the article was about. You make it too easy to point out there's dumbasses on both sides. Funny weren't both petitions done on college campuses?

Was the person with the kitchen knife on any drugs, like PCP? People have been known to take multiple bullets while using that stuff. Or pulling out taser barbs.

Then why aren't you a cop?

I need to be a cop to know about non-lethal weapons? Ok buddy :)

How about the case of the man who died here in NYC not very long ago? He was killed for selling loosies. Real big threat to society. I guess he was a scumbag and deserved it though, and they were just doing their job, takin out the trash!!

He was mentally unstable. I wouldn't use tasers on an armed man. Since there were multiple cops on scene, he could've been subdued by force (flanked, with long batons) or via projectile weapons. A kitchen knife has no reach. Nor would it be a threat to their vests.

They didn't shoot him did they. Didn't use a weapon. His health condition didn't help his situation.

Do you really want to use Eric Garner as your example? Eric Garner wasn't killed for selling cigarettes. Had Eric Garner not resisted arrest, he would have been booked and fined, same as the 29 other times he was arrested. Ever been in an honest to god choke hold? If so, then you know that you're not going to be doing a whole lot (if any) of talking. You want to know what killed the 350 pound Eric Garner? Donuts. Fried food. A lifetime of no exercise. And a lifetime of bad decisions.

Just to set the record straight again, I am very pro-police. I just think they need more training here, and better scrutiny when allowing people into the force. It's a very large country though, and the police need all the help they can get, so it's a difficult situation.

Why didn't they quick cuff him, instead of staying on top of him that long? These devices do exist.

Funny, I was also making comments on liberals yesterday too. I'm not liberal or republican, nor do I get butthurt when people make political jokes.

If I could, I'd vote for Bernie Sanders though, even though he's a bit too far left for me. He seems to be the only candidate who isn't a corporate puppet.

NY City also has a deep history of having a lot of **** heads running around.

Dealing with the worst of a society on a daily basis gives you a jaded view on people. It's easy to armchair quarterback and run cops down for being aggressive, but until you deal with drugged out lunatics, you don't know how you're going to react. Are there cops out there who shouldn't be? Absolutely. Should cops should subdue criminals with songs of joy and love? Don't be ridiculous. Every cop has the right to go home at the end of his shift to his family.

And your comment about it only being an 8" knife is also ridiculous and shows your ignorance on the subject. Let's rush him, he can only kill one of us before we subdue him!

The issue here isnt the cops, its the criminal 16th income tax Amendment that should be abolished immediately.

Its unfortunate they have police being financial mercenaries for the IRS and government now, they shouldnt have been there in the first place.

63 people were killed by law enforcement in 2009.....2010-287....2011-166...2012-602...2013-338...2014-625...2015-368....

the entire total prior to 2009=221....Obama took office in 2008.

ROLF! Good point. As I always say, people put themselves in bad situations.

lol at fear of a kitchen knife. Yeah, he woulda killled eryboddy!!!! Dude, I've first hand witnessed an ex-roomate's girlfriend go after him with a box full of kitchen knives. He subdued her, without any weapons, without a vest, without any cuts lol. Cops have several non-lethal weapons at their disposal. Even projectile weapons/guns (bean bag / rubber bullet guns), if they are that scared to go after him with vests and batons.

And yes, I specifically said cops should sing aloud when making arrests!! LOL TFF!!! KOOMBAYA!!!!

Horrible point. And such a cop-out. An unarmed person should not have to get killed even if they are stupid enough to be resisting arrest. It's murder. They should get roughed up a bit, sure, and charged. It's about accountability, which police don't really have much of here.

They did not want to kill him, I guarantee none of those police wanted anything close to that.

A knife is a lethal weapon. Lol must you refer to it as a kitchen knife every single time? Social justice warriors really try to justify everything. Honestly, I'm glad those cops shot that idiot.

Bad things happen on the job when your a cop, its not a job where everything goes perfect as planned all the time. You cant train for every situation.

The last thing we want is for people not to wanna be cops anymore, or have cops who are more afraid of the repercussions of doing their job over just doing the job.

I'm honestly just disappointed they weren't singing koombaya while using karate. KEK

They are doing their job sure, but it can be done differently in my opinion. There are a substantial amount of people who hold this same opinion. There are also a substantial amount of police forces around the world who hold this opinion.

Anyhow, we're beating this topic to death now.

just make resisting arrest a mandatory 20 year sentence, not eligible until 15 years of sentence has been served.

anyone who would fight with police is a danger to society, imo!!!

Stiffening penalties for resisting arrest is a great idea. I like that.

I have to say I'm at a loss for how to deal with mentally ill / stoned people though. Like that white teenager who was pulled over for a traffic stop. Didn't have his license on him and he was super worried about getting in trouble with his folks. He ended up dead. What he did was stupid, and the end result tragic, but he certainly wasn't a threat as well.

I am definitely not one of those people posting these anti-police videos on social media, demanding justice though. There are always two sides to every story. I guess I'm no expert when it comes down to it also, but I do know that things are a bit broken and extreme in this country. No real easy solution.

Anyone think Fallout 4 will go on sale for Christmas? Star Wars is $20 off till Tuesday, but you can't really play it without the season pa$$
