Woman calls police saying some guy tried to carjack her. Some guy opens the garage door with gun in hand as police arrive. Police shoot man with gun. Race-baiting tool and known liar Sean King makes it about race to get clicks, Gutterpump takes bait.

Just a normal day.
 
To add, I think the police acted recklessly but King is acting recklessly himself immediately blaming race.

I wonder if they gave the guy an opportunity to drop his weapon?

I admit, it is pretty stupid to open the garage door with your gun in your hand to greet police officers. Seems like a bad idea.

I said he's a known liar. Pointing that out, not saying he lied in the article. He has no proof the guy was shot because he was black but that is the entire premise of the story. I'd have a hard time disagreeing if the guy didn't' have a gun in hand.

I know many, many police officers personally (through family members, and extended family), and most of them are in fact racist. Your post doesn't change this problem.

In fact, to expand on this, just in NYC alone, I would say 70% of the Italian/Irish community here is extremely racist. A good portion of the Irish-American / Italian-American people here work blue collar public service jobs, NYPD / FDNY, and they are extremely extremely racist.

No, but I don't look at a story and claim racism automatically because a black guy is involved.

I work around a lot of police officers and have never once heard a racial comment. They exercise patience and control in situations where they are being taunted by citizens (since this BLM nonsense started).

I've only heard them being racist, in a private setting where they feel comfortable. Of course most people won't do it openly on the job.

I've also heard from EMT's who let black people die while in their care, when they have the option to quickly help them or not. Again, these are people that I know about in the Irish/Italian community here. This specific EMT is engaged to a cop who's also a racist piece of ****. I unfortunately know them, but they are not friends.

The two of them told me about all the crazy things that happens on the job here. NYPD has a serious problem. I never would've even heard any of this if they didn't trust me at the time too. I was dating her sister, and they took me for a friend I guess. Trust me when I say, it's part of the culture at NYPD / FDNY. It's also part of police culture to never ever speak up about civil rights violations.

Looking back on it, I truly wish I had the conversation recorded.

That all may be true, and if so NY needs change. That doesn't make it true everywhere. The people who control NYPD staffing don't control staffing elsewhere.

Lived in Bay Ridge and Bensonhurst. You are absolutely correct. I'm not let letting multi-felon/warrant gun wielding AA male resisting police off the hook either.

I don't know why that's clear to you based on your experience being there.

It's clear there is an occasional police brutality problem. The majority of the time I don't see race as the reason. At least not "clear".

The example used here in Jacksonville is of a felon who stole a car and rammed it into a police officer. Officer shoots and locals and media point to race.

I do know that American media likes to parade this stuff around and create issues and fear. I've seen white people shot for similar issues and outside of fringe/small media it's not in your face 24/7.

There is an opportunity to address a real problem with police officers and how they engage with people, but instead it's used for political gain and for click-bait. I know you see that.

Reverse it? What did I reverse? I was on my phone and just wanted to add to my statement and it was easier to reply to my own quote rather than edit it, didnt think it was a big deal to do so.

There was that 18 year old white kid who flashed his lights because he thought the oncoming car had his high beams on, and he ended up getting massacred for it. But noooo...no MSNBC, no Obama, no Don Lemon, no Al Sharton, nothing nobody gave a crap about him.

Its not that bad here at all compared to many other countries. In China for example if your a political threat they will just throw you up in labor camp and collect you when someone needs an organ...or if you carry the Tibetan flag you get years of prison/labor time. Its hard to catch this stuff on camera and freely put it on social media....thats why things seem so much worse here when its not. The bigger problem in the US is black on black murders, not cops but that stuff dont get politicized because its hard to gain from it.

Ya i know. This **** gets me so pissed. Are media and government is the reason we have an issue with "hate crimes"(i hate this term is all violent crimes a hate crime.).

I was in the middle of a rare monster snow storm in the middle of Beijing back in '09....the government admitted they were trying to irrigate crops in another part of the country and things got carried to the wrong place.

We have no idea what the government all in all is doing with top secret projects at HAARP and weather weapon modification experiments that they have been using since the Vietnam war. Its crazy.
