how about the people accross the street from the fire, just watching this, helpless not being able to do anything. 20-30 feet away the fire is coming. i cant imagine this.
one positive and this is something i remember from 9/11, people were still mindful of others. cars letting others in, no one getting over paranoid.

Sure they were. 3,000 KIA 15 years ago? 400 child drownings in pools a year x 15 years = 6000. I believe TVs kill 100-200 per year. God dang Lightening kills about 50. Lets not even talk about Automobiles, Prescription Drugs (that a patient is directed to take, not even illegal use of), Heart Disease due to *****y diets, Alcohol, and Cancer from Cigarettes (The first two are up around the 40,000 Per Year mark, each The last ones are double or triple that). Paris? In the US, roughly 16,000 murders happen every year - ~7,500 from handguns, and 500 from rifles - mostly red-blooded Christian Americans killing other red-blooded Christian Americans. Oooooooh terrorism, spooky...

Assuming those numbers are all reasonably accurate, it would appear from a statistical standpoint that the priority of some of these issues has been inappropriately allocated. Do you have any opinion of why that could be, or what might account for it?

Actually that is completely false. Most people say stuff like this all the time and , no offense, make stuff up. His exact recommendation was to limit "opening the flood gates" on the border to thousands and thousands of random people without properly vetting them (to make sure they aren't terrorists or something detrimental to our country/citizens). There are a HUGE majority of individuals that are coming through the border that don't even have an I.D. or birth certificate and we have no idea who they are. It has already been proven many times that terrorism affiliated individuals have "snuck" through the border with this method (Just like ISIS said they would infiltrate the immigration system with 50,000 militants).
The vast majority of other modern countries vett the crap out of the people trying to come into their country to protect it's citizens and the sovereignty of their nations respectively. I guess my only question is: What is wrong with actually enforcing our regulations to protect our citizens?

Good point. However, you do realize that this was from 6 months ago right? The key words are "Until we can figure out what is going on". No one said that it was going to be a complete/permanent ban. Also, since then it has been further elaborated on many many times and clarified that the proposal is limiting the immigration (and sometimes forced immigration by our country) in order to work on the recommendations of the FBI to create a more sound vetting process before we just open the door to "ghost immigrants" that we have no idea who they are.
When ISIS says that it will infiltrate the immigration systems of Europe and the U.S. with 50,000 militants I don't think that a proposal like that is hard to grasp at all. Especially considering that we have already had low-level attacks by ISIS sympathizers (who were immigrants) and a significant number of arrests made for ISIS affiliations (a lot of which were also immigrants).
Also, look at Europe right now. They are shambles as far as national security goes and they are allowing so many unvetted immigrants (huge majority Muslim) in to Europe and that it is decimating their countries (economy and security). In light of all of the current happenings in the modern world. A proposal to save our country from becoming Belgium/most of Europe isn't a bad idea. Also, Ben Shapiro spits some facts about the dangers of trying to force co-existence through forced immigration: Invalid Link Removed.
I'm all for vetted immigrants legally coming in to our country to be a productive part of society. However, lately the majority of immigrants coming in from the middle east have no desire for base assimilation or becoming a productive part of society. As a result of this, the majority of unvetted immigrants are receiving huge sums of welfare (and they don't have to pay taxes into our system). So essentially they are getting everything for free at the expense of the tax payer, thus eliminating millions/billions of dollars that could bolster many other social programs/economical stimuli that could really help the country as a whole. They want the culture and society of a country to change for them at the expense of alienating the natural citizens of the country.
In light of all of this AND the BLATANT threat by ISIS of more terror attacks through immigration, I don't think the proposal to limit immigration, until a better system for the sovereignty for our country is established, is too outlandish.

If in a country where even 50% percent of the Muslims are radicalized that would mean that the other half who may want to flee an oppressive government that's guided by extremist can not, simply because they are Muslim. You're assuming that because they are 1) from another country 2) are Muslim, that they don't want to work and would rather be on welfare?
