Bad idea? Sadly I can only do pullups with a doorway bar since I have to workout at home, since I don't have a car and my bench press/squat stand take up most of my room.
Find a playground. Do a hood workout if u don't like doing them in doorway. Usually some good spots for dips there too.
I'd love to get one of those but the problem isn't so much the price but space. I live in a townhouse and I live with my grandmom. The only way I could buy one of those and have space is if I can some home convince my grandmom to get rid of the furniture in the living room which isn't going to happen. This is the bar I have. Invalid Link RemovedHow sturdy is the construction of the bar is and how much weight you want to add?
Could always go this route If you wanted to spend a little cash, they looked pretty cool when I was searching around.

this last one looked a little flimsy but it was the cheapest so I figured I'd throw it up there.

in terms of how much weight I want to add, I'm starting out low about 10 lbs and then add 10 lbs once I get to 12 reps, until I get my arms to grow. I want them to grow about 2 1/2".
The second one I think comes apart without any tools could always set it up
In the driveway then break it down when your done and I believe that one was rated to 350 lbs. The one you have, who knows could get away with using some lighter weights google it and see if you could find what the bar is rated at.
