Doing the MONSTERMASH with Protocol V2 Cherry

we're considering other flavors, too, so if you have a few you'd love to see released, let us know... our supporters are sure to play a huge role in helping us to decide should we go forward with this. ;)

New flavors?! Where to start...

cranberry (something a little tart) or a grape koolaid-like flavor would be awesome to rotate with cherry!

Protocol has been a staple for me from day 1. At my age recovery is paramount to staying in the game for me!

I can only imagine. Turning 27 next month and already I can notice gains don't nearly as fast as when I was 17-21 years old...

adding Cit/mal to protocol makes it taste somewhat like cherry lemonade, the two go very well together :fingersx:

Really?:33: This sounds awesome, thanks!

Day-24

So I've been toying with the doses between weights and cardio and so far I've liked doing a full dose right after I'm done with weight-training but before cardio. I've had a pretty noticeable increase in endurance with the additional BA pre-cadio and my HIIT only runs for about a half hour so the leucine is still doing it's thing.

only runs for a half hour?!

dear lord... when i set out to do HIIT, i'm lucky if i can get past 12-15 minutes.

:lmao: Yeah I NEED to warm up my legs for 10-15 minutes with a light jog otherwise my ankles will cramp up and my lower back will tighten up after I'm done :sad3:
this is what i get for playing sports, skateboarding, snowboarding, etc...

Day-27

So I have a minor set-back to report... got a pain in my right knee, only sometimes, it's a achey type pain right behind the cap. Gonna jump on some kinda of joint supplement and see if I can get it to go away. Going to have to rethink my cardio routine to incorporate lower impact exercises or something...

Other than that... everything is going swimmingly. Weight loss has slowed down but fat loss is still visible :) and my rate of recovery has been phenomenal.

ice that sucker down... that's pro'lly the worst place to have a nagging injury/soreness, too. :(

if you have knee wraps or knee sleeves, it wouldn't hurt to just wrap that one knee, either.

on a side note... i believe i'll have to use 'swimmingly' in a sentence today. :D

Yeah, I'm gonna have to buy some sleeves or something... been meaning to get elbow sleeves too so now I'll just get both and hope they help.

Day-30

The last day is here already :( and my tub is down to it's last couple of servings... Good thing I have a couple tubs sitting in my cupboard! :rocketwhore:

Going to do my last workout with this tub tonight and I'll put up my final review tomorrow. Gonna do work on my shoulders later today!

you'll look like a superhero if you wear them at the same time. :D

looking forward to the final thoughts, dude... seems like you enjoyed it.

In for final review :)

:firedevil: FINAL REVIEW-PROTOCOL V2 ~CHERRY FLAVOR :firedevil:

Flavor- 9/10

Flavoring was truly on-point with Protocol V2, in my opinion it tastes just like sugar-free cherry kool-aid. Since starting my recomp I've been taking in a lot of clean calories and most of my meals are pretty bland in the flavor department so I found myself looking forward to my doses. It definitely makes it easier to stay disciplined when your drinkable supplements actually taste good.
* gave it a 9 since the actual sugar version of cherry Kool-aid is the 10

Let's hope we can see some grape flavoring in the near future! :fingersx:

Effectiveness- 10/10

Does exactly what it claims-spares muscle/strength in calorie deficit and boosts recovery rate and endurance. No claims of putting on pounds of lean muscle in weeks and no hormonal rollercoasters that yield little to no real results long term.

I personally found my endurance and post-workout muscle fullness increased almost immediately and as week 2 came to an end I could really notice the advanced recovery aspect. Having not used a postworkout formula for a little bit (2+ months) and purely focusing on my pre-workout concoctions I completely forgot how crucial post-workout supplementation was. So happy there's a product that doesn't break the bank and isn't a chore to drink that allows me to no longer have to deal with uncomfortable soreness after hard training days.

Ability to become a staple supp- 8/10

Easy to follow dosing scheme and great taste make it easy for me to make it one of my staples that I will keep in my gym bag and cupboard for as long as i can afford to.
*I did take two points off because you will need to have a shaker on hand. Still not bad but my place right now doesn't have a dish washing machine (feel like Fred Flinstone) and washing my shakers and all my other dishes by hand gets to me after a bit haha.
* mixability in shaker cup is 100% just not in a cup w/ a spoon (just like any other amino acid based supp) :)

Dosing-

Workout days- drink twice a day, once before pre-workout meal and again as soon as you finish with weight training.

Off days- drink one dose before breakfast and the other before lunch or dinner.

Will I use again? Yes. Bought a couple of tubs to run as a staple year round (with small breaks).
Would I recommend to others? Yes

*Please note although this is a sponsored log I have no reason to lie or hype-up a product. i already have the product free i can say anything i like about it. Anything positive I noted about this product was off my personal experience.

With that said, thank you Smitty and Genomyx for letting me try your reformulated version of Protocol. You have earned yourselves a long-term customer. :usa2:

Nice job Monster! The new version just made a staple of mine even better.

awesome review, my man; very detailed and i can appreciate the honesty knowing that you would've told us if it sucked...

thank you very much for the time taken to log this for us!

kind of sad to see this end. :(

but i'll certainly see you on the board.

Great review. Glad to see that Protocol has earned another believer ;)

As for a grape flavor, we'll see... We're currently contemplating the next flavor, so anything is possible
