REACTIVE TRAINING SYSTEMS
CYCLE II
peak week

Squat
340x1

Bench
270x1

Dead
440x1 -tore a callous, mother bear does it hurt. Better heal before Saturday

Today was basically work to an opener. Nailed all those guys. So, Wednesday I'll train around 75% then it's all rest and mental from there.

Thanks fam. I will if it doesn't heal by Saturday.

I've found that it seems to actually help it heal faster covering it with a little super glue now. Let it breathe tonight and then first thing in the morning put a very thin layer on. Liquid skin/bandage is better because you can keep reusing the tube as it cracks off through the day. Otherwise all your hand usage, washing, etc tends to keep it raw and can make it worse. I can usually heal a tear in a week like this, but without it can take over 2 wks. I'm a mechanic though, so I might get a bit more mileage on my hands than some, but still.

Use that pain for more gain, Tyga! I hope it heals up fast for ya. Your numbers are looking great!

I never understood how people tear callouses and have it hurt... I have like layers upon layers (and I even lift in gloves mostly ha) so when one gets torn off, theres just more underneath. Never really had it be painful, more just a bit soft for a day or so.

my callus has callus's. The one that tore is by my pinky on my palm. Just pink fresh skin underneath.. Hurts like a mofo.

I did put liquid band aide on it (which has alcohol in it as an anti-septic, so that burned) I'll do that the rest of today and let it breath tonight when I sleep, then re-apply in the morning.

I never had a callous tear either. That's crazy.

My brothers hands used to crack open real bad when he was a kid. He used to super glue them all the time and it did make a big difference in healing time!!

You're not gonna tear calluses as often wearing gloves certainly, and they tend to go on more aggressively knurled bars on BIG pulls or max-effort rep sets of something where you get sloppy and the knurling glazes the hand in passing, ripping it open.

I never tore a callus til I get above a certain strength level. First time I ever did one it was a 585 high-blockpull from above the knees on a real texas power bar. Bout passed out, and when I set it back down it was like suddenly blood and pain was everywhere. Ruined upperbody training for weeks.

CYCLE II
REACTIVE TRAINING SYSTEMS
peak week

Today was an easy peezy day. Just progressed though my warm ups until my RPE was 7.5 (could have went up to an 8 but I didn't have to either)

Comp Squat
135, 205
225x2
275x1
300x1 - this moved so fast I was shocked, seriously. Explosive and comfortable

Comp bench
135, 185
225x1
245x1 - again moved very fast and was explosive and comfortable

Comp dead
135, 225, 275
315x1
365x1 - used straps and it helped with the callous. It's ever so slowly healing..

Oh and I woke up at 149lb today. So everything's falling in place now it's just relax and execute on Saturday.

Be easy guys!
God bless

His coach was saying that his 1,107 @ 148 was good for an Elite Total and made top 50 on powerliftingwatch - which for anyone who doesn't know reading this, is amongst both tested & un-tested athletes.

Remember that time you pulled 36lbs more than your 455 @ 170lb bodyweight? Oh yeah, that was today ;)
