Does the HPTA completely restore itself with time?

Hi,

As exposed in a previous thread, I'm close to 30 now and was treated when I was 15 with testosterone gel for 1 year, as I had delayed puberty.

Got tested recently, here are my numbers:
TT: 599ng/dl (300-1100)
Free T: 2,36 ng/dl (0,45-4,2)

Not low by any mean, but neither am I the most anabolic guy out there, and I could certainly be satisfied with numbers closer to the 900s.

It's now been 10 years I was given test.
Is there such a thing as an HPTA that cannot completely recover unless given a SERM?
Would I benefit from a kick start from clomid or nolva.

I often read after a bber has done a cycle, that a SERM doesn't only help recover faster, it helps recover, period. Does that mean that after a cycle with no SERM in PCT, a bber will never have his original LH levels ever again?

Thank you!

Your levels are in range so be happy. You're not any less "anabolic" than if your test was 900. Normal range is normal range. A serm will temporarily raise test to the very high end of normal but you don't see guys cycling serms for gains.

So a SERM cycle won't boost my natty production to a point where it could then remain?
My test will always come back to my current levels?
If so, why some bbers say they never completely recovered after a cycle if there was no PCT?
They should be fine after a year without gear. No?

that depends on a lot of variables

he body will return to its normal ways of working, but that will take a lot of time – close to a year. Meanwhile, the catabolic time lag makes the athlete lose his steroid gains due to altered hormone levels. This is because of the following reason. Testosterone ensures that the body does not lose much protein. If it is not present, the muscle mass that was built during the cycle will be burnt away. Apart from being stressful for the body, it is also extremely unhealthy.

The time it takes for the body to naturally regain its normal functions depends upon the amount of time that the athlete was on the steroids, as well as the strength of the steroids he was taking. Leaving the body to naturally regain its functions may be dangerous, because the longer it takes the more muscle the athlete will lose. Following a post cycle therapy ensures that the body regains its normal production of testosterone quickly, and the gains from the steroid cycle are retained.

Different individuals react differently to chemicals because of varying bodily functions. While some individual’s body may be sturdy enough to face no HPTA suppression at all, others might face total suppression of the HPTA. This is why the steroids to be taken in the cycle as well as the post cycle therapy must be planned mainly according to the bodily structure of the athlete in question

I'd be happy with those numbers.. Higher within range wont provide better gains.. you may have a slightly better libido..but I wouldn't expect miracles.
