Does Minoxidil have any affect on androgen levels?

Just curious (maybe looking for an excuse :)) but I started using Minoxidil about six months ago and I cannot seem to get as "cut" as I did one year ago.

My diet and workout routines are as good, if not better, than a year ago.

Is it possible Minoxidil (a topical) can produce systemic side effects such as water retention, etc.,? 
 
Minoxidil can exert effects 3b HSD levels (this enzyme converts DHT to 3alpha and vice versa among other things)

I highly doubt that you're getting enough minoxidil in your system to make any kind of difference in your enzyme levels. If you were, there are other sides you'd notice first.

You have to find another excuse :)
