Just curious as I feel all the huge guys i asked say theyre always sore (despite the mainstream narrative being you dont need soreness to grow)

i do not get sore like i did when i was younger. unless im just starting back after a layoff maybe get sore the first week or 2......

I’m always sore from training. The DOMS isn’t as bad as when you just start out, but there’s a never-ending rotation of at least something being sore & tight. Hams and adductors this morning, then I benched today so now my triceps, traps, and forearms already feel shot. Probably feel it in my pecs tomorrow.

Always sore but I also push very hard 90% of the time, some days I double up. I always try to improve.

I'm sore as hell one and two days out from a workout. Sometimes longer with legs.
The main reason DOMS is important is IGF-1. The pain signals tell your body to transport more IGF-1 to the site.
This s true of injuries, too. That's why you shouldn't use ice or NSAIDS for either.
There's a ton of data to support this,
