First time really doing any worthwhile benching in the shirt, feels awful man. Huge pop off the bottom, even with 2 boards; I'm stronger off the chest anyways, then slow to lockout. Getting the groove though.
 
I just picked up a Titan Ram and have used it twice so far and love it. Helped my form as I had hoped.
This was my first time trying it, I like it too.

Just don't overuse it to keep that raw strength up, unless you're incredibly strong off the chest and weaker at lockout.
 
I used it the first time I got it to overload and a second just to see how it felt on incline. I don't intend to use it too often. It is nice though. I tried a slingshot back to back and the Ram was definetly better.

I have a sling shot and it is pretty sweet. I don't use it as a major lift apparatus, more just to overload after to try and get used to heavier weights. I am weak at the bottom so I don't use it as a primary.

Kinda wish I would have seen the ram first though.

Yeah it's a lot of school and can be draining but it'll be worth it when I'm done. Those deads are very impressive! You DL more then I can rack pull, lol! Those last two attempts looked like you were using the valsalva maneuver.

I block, valsalva, for anything heavy. From 315 to 600, it helps. I generate the internal pressure, expand my abs into the belt, and hold onto all my air until I complete the rep or don't need it.

Never thought about actually pushing out into the belt with my abs but it makes sense for stabilization. I'm going to give that a shot this week.

A good tricep overload for top end strength. You can make your own, and if you don't have a training partner, attach bungee cords and bungee it around your torso to stay in place.
