Dmax's pursuit for power & performance

Dropping another 150 calories out of the diet tomorrow that will put me at 2100 off days and 3100 working days .... also may start going in on Fri if the change my schedule from 5-8's to 4-10's probably be an additional bis tris and should day

2100 damn man i cant even fathom only eating that. Better you than me lol

Dmax's pursuit for power & performance

I feel bad because I'm going to get to 198 eating no less than 3250 a day. Maybe 3000 on off days near the end. 3000 is my sanity cut-off

I swear my next cheat meal is going to be a bag of coco almonds I have to log them at a serving and a hafe just cause I grab a couple every time I walk by

Yeah man those things are delicious and insanely addicting.

Watching some videos it seems when I pause my reps a exaggerate the crap out of the pause compared to everyone I've seen

Squat ... it's not but I see these paused squats and I'm like damn that's as fast as I normally squat sometimes lol

I mean anything outside of how one normally squats is technically variation, but I hear ya. I can be guilty of rushed pauses from time to time

My squats yesterday I paused like a bench lol. Motionless then up. Too heavy for too many reps to hit long ones. But I worry if my pauses are too short, I'll start comp squatting like that.

Mike isratal sparked this whole thing I watched his pauses and thought what pauses lol...

Your exactly right herder if I do a bunch of pauses I tend to pause my comp stuff slightly which sucks

Blood pressure 113 over 66 heart rate 50... wife checked wrist band against the big cuff today at the Dr and it was very close

Anyone else feel like their lats take the longest to recover? My glutes come in a close second

Yesterday my lower back was giving me trouble but after them 45° Barbell extensions it feeling really good

Nice work lately dude. Idk I feel like I can hit lats daily, glutes can stay sore for a while though. Both obviously depend on several variables.

Yeah I've conditioned my lats to higher frequency as well the last year or so and as long as I rotate how I hit them they can often go 2 days in a row.

Just listen to them. If you just worked up to one all-out Tbar row set the day before, maybe you do 5x20 fatbar Pulldowns the next day and just pump blood into them but help recover. Other days you do 6x10 chin-ups, etc.

Legs for me. Specifically adductors. I think lats can take a serious sounding. You give them a serious pounding, though.

Skinny Sean ain't bout that Golden Arches life, Dmax!!!

I'll eat fried cardboard if it has tartar sauce on it though. Which is basically what a filet o fish is

Ha, I just ain't about the fish life. I've boarded too many fishing boats in my time.

Filet-o-fish is surprisingly real fish, actually lol

The chiro i work for is going go help work on the strongmen we have from our gym competing. I was trying to make it some kinda business trip but he didn't bite dam it.

Note
Mixed day squats felt good 3rd set was my best 5th set I almost pasted out on the very first rep was very hard to recover. My legs were already super pumped just did pauses for extra work switch to ssb for a training partner those were some soild reps kept very upright

Deadlift was speedy as **** 495 flew jumped to 555 was shooting for a double but didn't even get a single. got it to my knees and stalled. Second time it didn't leave the floor. First I know I can pull this **** so pissed should have ditched my sweat pants which screwed me big time they got a bunched up came off the floor fast, second attempt never got in position to pull correctly

Need to figure out what to do on deadlift to get it moving again no reason it should feel heavy

Then blood flow which wasn't really needed cause legs were already sore and pumped all around.

That's it thanks for reading

Have you always pulled fatigued in training? If not, that is something to consider. And the sweatpants bunch! Lol

Yep, but not this fatigued. It used to be a top set of 1-3 reps then call it at that which is fatiguing but not as much as doing multiple top sets
