Dmax's pursuit for power & performance

We had that discussion about compression clothes so I figured I'd see if it improves upper body as well

Yea I'm jelly I didn't get the shorts...but I got a lot of powerlifting stuff this year. It sure should help keep you warm.

I really liked Em. Hard as **** to get on, though. It's crazy bc I found two guys at my gym who compete USAPL use them and wear mediums...at 242 and 275 class. I have no idea how they get them on.

And I hate pulling leg hairs out!

Compression pants + knee sleeves = so much knee sweat it is almost game over....

Nah. I don't mind that. Just not used to having anything around my knees yet. Do yours bubble up on you despite being tight?

Hmm, only wore once and they seemed to stay in place pretty good. Give me a few more tries to report back.
 
Feeling pretty good this morning no soreness at all.
I do on the other hand need to figure out how to sleep where I'm not on either shoulder when I do it rolls if forward causing it to be messed up the next day or loose feeling

Last thing anyone know how to get videos from my camera to my phone or ipad without a pc I want to post videos
 
Been a side and stomach sleeper my whole life hard to break a 33 year habit
The thing I hate about back sleeping is my head gets hot (I know I'm odd) and stomach tilts my pelvis back giving me lower back pain

Haha they say you can go 2 sizes down in em, I went one size down and man they were a pain to get on at first. I'm used to em now. Idk how a 275 could squeeze in a medium though..

Depends on the phone and if it can take a SD or micro SD card? If it's an iPhone then no luck but most any phone can do one the two. Most cameras do SDs but there's an adapter to plug a micro SD into a regular SD,
 
Looking forward to going to the gym in the morning as usual got a couple ideas on what I plan doing but nothing set in stone

Great day set up my bands a little different this time to give a bit more pressure at the bottom and I could tell but they felt really good and didn't start to slow to about the last 3 sets I need to buy a fish scale so I can tell actual weight top and bottom

Deadlift was good got some solid reps in Ty herderdude for the help

Front squat was really good I was thinking about going up to 225 for 10 but the pump in my legs was unreal

Yesterday I was opening a Christmas present for the boy and I took sec to tell him how to use a knife safely (mind u he is only 4) told him to alway cut away from yourself and keep your hands out of the way to this he responds "except when you are cutting white things off your hand?" I showed him hands and said what white things and points to my calluses I just laughed but my wife did not find it amusing. I'll make a lifter out of him someday

I did learn today that in a life or death situation if I must hang by one hand I'm dead lol. Did some 2 handed hanging instead 4 times till failure

I thought about that maybe doubling up the green bands cause of the length not sure what that will give me. I really want to train explosiveness, I've learned it in deadlift trying it on squat which is going well all that's left is bench

You could get micros or keep doubling them...use heavy DBs though!
 
U think the micros would be to easy I got a set of greens I think

You know, I don't have a whole lot of band experience. I have black and red micros and the red ones are good for me to bench, but the black ones are tough. You could just loop the greens a bunch of times and see how it feels if you need to for tension.

Doubled greens are approximately a thousand pounds At the top and your gym will not have dumbbells heavy enough to stick to the floor. You'd want doubled micros, doubled minis, or if you're feeling froggy, both. I'd imagine doubled lights are also a bear. Short bands are mighty convenient, but mine are delaminating pretty quickly.

Sure thing, man. I don't think a ton of tension is necessary to get more explosive, and I think most people I see in the gym use way too much tension. Notwithstanding Super D's max effort days with multiple heavy bands. Those work.
 
Can't slack on the chicken wings man... In terms of bands I used my red elite fts short minis for some dimel deads once upon a time.. I couldn't imagine benching against lights. I think minis would suffice for most things, maybe lights for squatting. At least for my weak self lol.

The old Razor 8 was prob the strongest prewo I've ever had. I remember sitting on the bench, completely drenched in sweat, literally hoping I didn't have a heart attack. Was awesome.
