Ok day not how I wanted it to go my bench coach Joe had me put my feet out further to try to get more leg drive but all I wanted to do is push my ass up which caused me to fail on my 3rd rep on 255 went back to the way I was on the 2nd set and move better but still minimal leg drive going to work on it this week on my off day

Nothing else much to report Jayson just told me not to get down on myself making steady progress

I wanted to get more raw work in but after the mess up on the 255 my shoulders and elbows went to **** then I figured I'd at least hit 325 of a double but all the guys were in shirts and hitting at least 500 and I didn't feel like stripping the weights so I let the shoulders rest
 
Nice solid sesh. I have the same issue with legs out front. I am good and once I get to like 90%+ range the ass lifts.
 
Yep I started with legs out front, once i got em back i got into a stronger/tighter position. nice benching tho man! Are you on your toes with your normal bench form?
 
In my normal bench position my feet are up by lower back/below my hips and I'm no the balls of my feet trying g to drive my heels down

Its different for everyone the one guy in our crew puts his feel on boxes and flat and he has so much drive I was standing on them to keep them from sliding and he Damn near push them out from under me

Just gotta have your screwdriver handy. With my bodyweight fluctuations and different gear, it can make a lever a pain.

Notes
Really focused today on core tightness and gripping and twisting into the floor. The core tightness was spot on today the twisting is going to take some time felt like I was gaining so much tension that it it seemed hard to get to depth

Sumo is feeling much better and faster getting closer the bar has really helped with the pop

Edit: added 1 " deficit to sldl and my thigh angle was a little less then 45 degree when sitting on the box
 
Good workout bud.

Perhaps others will chime in as well, what're the benefits to training sumo when your competition stance is conventional?
 
I do it to be more well rounded I guess

Sumo strengths the hips which I feel has helped my squat stability that's just my thoughts
 
Sumo for me is just a accessory move to build up the hips. Plus I suck at em, and need to get better lol.

Bench went well very little discomfort as I was able to stay tight. I may have figured out few things on leg drive I didn't put my feet so far back so I was able to have some flex in my movement

Next time I do floor presses I'm going to approach it the chis Duffin why with bands that way I can use lighter DB's they will be a little less akward at way

Could barely move my arms had such a pump going at the end of them supersets

So my legs feel pretty strong today not really sore like I expected them to be next week I'll be doing low box squats looking forward to that

Saturday Jayson is going to be in Cincinnati training so I'm going to take that opportunity to get some volume in and work on form
 
Today was a relax rehab day did a lot of rolling, smashing and broomsticks just trying to loosen up my shoulders took 2 walks today one 45min and another 30 min walk to and from Chiropractor. This week I refrained from self adjusting and I can definitely tell a different in tightness and pain
 
Damn right I'm going to hit some volume this weekend and next weekend is my birthday going to shoot for singles pr's then going to hit up a Amish food buffet that night

I know on jtsstrength they have their prices listed. Brandon Lilly and chad wesley smith are something like $300/month. Could be wrong, just going off the top of my head.

RTS coaching is $35/week if I recall correctly.
 
Seminar at Iron Mafia was like $200, day passes at the compound are $10. You pretty much have the same experience with Jayson, so whatever that costs you. Don't be afraid to pick his brain more than you do now.

I agree with herder. Pick jayson's brain. People like to talk about what they know and their ideas/principles/ect.

All the guys I train with are great full of good information always willing to share strong as hell.
I would be doing more for experience and a different point of view everyone explains and does thing a bit different 3 different people can explain the same process and they all may have the same basic approach but little differents that may or may not help u. It's like when u explained your approach to deads this week I've been running that through my head all week

Squats felt great today got the upper back locked in, now im working in griping and spreading the floor. feel I like I put some soild work

Deadlift was OK last set I focused on speed more than anything.

My right side of my back is a bit sore which figures cause I put icy hot on the left this morning cause that's the side that's been giving me trouble

So I was planning in sticking with sets of 5 at 225 but that got thrown out right away cause it was actually 235 with the big collars then I was going to do my 3 set at 235 and Jayson said O no your doing 250 for 5 went fine thou last rep was a slight grinder only cause I brought it down to slow which I typically do. Last rep on 275 was rough not going to lie but locked in out

Think I'm going to shoot for 300 for a single on bench next sun and who knows for squat B said something about bringing in some briefs for me to try and DL going to go for that 500 hopefully Im up for the challenge
