Ok, I am not a newbie, I'm 6'2 right now I'm 245 uselly Hang out around 232, I'm 33 been traing hard for 7 years. Went from a super lean 175 to 232 at around 15% bf? ok now I've never been a big eater, honestly I'm pretty good eating 1500/2500 cals a day, but try to maintain about 3200 wich is still low for my weight. I usely track cals at least 5 days out of the week or I just won't eat enuf! So I built up my body on pretty low calories! ??? Slow metabolism ??
So now I'm really trying to cut way down, and all my calculating has me eating like 4333 freaking calories, I have bunches of friends who compete and I know there's just absurd eating highs and lows, but 4333' I was eating 4000 my last bulk and that finally got me to 250 something that I was fighting for the past 3 years couldn't break it! But finally got it ;) I'm pumped!!!
But anyway I was wondering if any body else has built up there body on farly low cals and how you adapt cals for dieting?
Eating that 4000 cals was misrabial all I did was eat. I'd really appreciate any insight, or ideas, I mean I could just diet lower, but then there's not much room, I feel like if I eat 4333 cals I day I'd would not be leaning out! Thx guys

Its fairly straitforward but is trial and error until you learn yourself

Try out 4000 cals for 7 days, be meticulous in tracking, and see what happens.

Based on how much you lose/gain adjust from there and trial run another week

Repeat until goal is met

thx man! Can't believe I'm the only one who has this going on, it's not necessarily a problem, but I was also curious if anybody else was in the same boat. Guess I'm the captain and the crew, lol, thx again for the reply

if you need to eat a high maintenance calorie intake, you may want to try eating a low carb diet. the reason being you would be relying on fats for fuel so they add up a lot quicker than that of a more iso caloric diet. food for thought if you will.

Nah I'm the same. All calculators tell me to cut at around 3300 cals, but I go into the mid 2000's and sometimes dip around 1900 cals at times. I do this lower calorie intake while on low carbs though.

Yeah man with a small apatite high fat low carb is def easer to hit cals.
Gutterpump, why do the calculations come out so high? Do people follow actually follow them?
