Day 11
weighed in at 211.

Did shoulders. Nothing really special on shoulder day. I did 105s on dumbbell press for a terrible 3 reps. I used to do this every week and was able to get 8 reps with 110s but I haven't been doing this every week. I'm gonna start adding these back in.

Took the weekend off and worked on the 350 fixing a few things here and there.

Monday was day 14
weighed 212.6

Did arms and again nothing special to report. For some reason I haven't been feeling motivated like I usually do. Not sure if it's lethargy or not. I don't feel tired or run down, I'm just not feeling it mentally like I always do. I don't know what my problem is.

I really feel like my body is looking a lot better overall, not so much pudge in the torso area. I do feel stronger as well.
 
The recomping and cutting has begun I see!!

I'm sure next week you'll up the strength on the presses. Dang though 110 is nuts for DBS.....

thats what i said, they only have 100's at my gym. I'm gonna get those babies on incline soon!!!

hmmm lets watch the motivation, i had a smiliar problem right in the middle of my cycle. Im curious how this comes about or why, i think i was just burnt out from the gym. my whole life was revolving around it for a minute and it almost turned into a chore, if you know what i mean
 
Alright, I have to apologize once again for lack of updates. The internet has been down at work for some reason which is where I update from usually. I think I'm over the lack of motivation for the most part. Tuesday was really bad, I started working out and everything was just hurting and I lost my temper pretty bad, so I had to walk outside and calm down. Never felt like that before, at least not while working out. So I just went home.

Yesterday was day 13 and I did a light chest and back day since I was hurting the day before. I still got a really good pump in my chest even though I didn't use any free weights.

Today was day 14

Weight was 214.
Did some shoulders, minus the presses since my joints have been hurting. Also did deads.

I haven't done deads in two weeks but damn I felt good today. I think it gave me that boost I needed for motivation.

At this point in the cycle I've lost 1 inch from my waist and gained about .5 inch on my arms. This is obviously awesome but I guess I'm having a hard time with not seeing the scale shoot up. I keep reminding myself, you're trying to recomp dumbass.

Hows the diet? You suffering? lol. What kinda macro's you gettin in?

Haha! Honestly the only thing I've changed from last cycle was that I took out my PM carbs, upped my protein, and I'm eating less on off days. I'm getting my post workout carbs but after that I try to avoid them all together focusing more on getting that protein in. I'm also really focusing on getting 1.5g of protein per pound which is something I've slacked on before. Fats are moderate, getting in olive oil, natural PB and almonds. I've realized if I count out my macros too often I drive myself crazy throughout the day and it's almost counteractive mentally. I usually write out a plan once and stick to eating the same thing every day, deviating slightly here and there.

Ah. I tend to just set a protein target then hit my cals. I think next cycle it's going to be 1.5g protein and more fats. I'm slacking on the fats dept now.

Day 15(last friday)

I took it somewhat easy this day. My elbow joints were still bothering me slightly but doing dumbbell press felt ok.

I did various other chest and back workouts, nothing worth mentioning.
I had a killer pump going on in my back which is pretty rare. Like I said, this time around I'm having way more intense pumps. It's awesome.

Took the weekend off.

Day 18(today)

Weighed 214

Alright, today was squats and wait until you see the numbers I put up.

This is absolutely ridiculous, it's about time my squat started catching up to my deadlift. The 5x5 routine didn't do **** for my squat but when I pyramid like this, it goes up easy.

Stopped here because my quads were super pumped and not sure what else I could do with them being so pumped up.

Obviously my strength is going nuts with this cycle and I'm slowly getting leaner while slowly gaining weight. My wife keeps telling me I look leaner and that my arms and shoulders look more defined.
Getting some slight bacne but nothing crazy, I'm just a dirty kid that needs to shower more, lol. Other than that, not really feeling any sides as usual.
 
damn ME is treating you well lol!

5x5 won't get you REALLY strong unless you follow the advanced program. They do a day of triples. Usually though I tend to like 5x5 in times of full body. When I am specifically training a lift I'll do more of a wendler 531 or WSBB style workout.

Looking leaner eh, man...I'm cutting in 4 weeks so Hopefully I can look somewhat like I work out....
 
Just wanted to close out this log. I finished the cycle with no problems but I have been crazy busy and unable to really use a computer in a while. I have about week left in PCT.

I did the bodpod at the beginning and the end of the cycle to gauge fat loss and muscle gain. In 28 days I gained 4lbs of muscle while losing 3lbs of fat. I still have the majority of my strength and continuing to lean out. I got 515 on deadlift a few weeks ago which was a PR.
