Have been doing a lot of searching to see if there were any bb's out there that are diabetic and use aas? If so what effects does various aas have on your blood levels, AIC test results, etc?
When taking aas what kind were you using, and what effect did they have good or bad?

Geez, I'm not sure but I believe Jon Blaze said he stopped using PH/AAS because it messed with his blood sugar levels. Bump for this member

I think you would have to be very careful about watching your blood sugar/insulin (if you use it). Bump for better information (pubmed might have a study).

They tend to raise BG levels so you would need to take more insulin and also make sure you are using a sliding scale intensive therapy or the pump.

Fina, test, are my main AAS's. After any cycle I usually have my BG levels bouncing around for about a week, but after that it seems to level out again. Sometimes they have been easier to regulate after a cycle, I'm guessing this is probably due to the fat/muscle ratio.

I am a 50 old type 2 diabetic and I can tell you that generally AAS Lower (or improve) my blood glucose and A1c.

This is also what is stated will happen in medical texts on the subject.

However, they raise LDL and lower HDL which is bad. And of course they raise blood pressure which is bad.

Bro's thanks for all the helpful info!!
I am on a insulin pump, so if I find I am requiring more insulin, I will just give a bit more. I monitor my levels very closely, and for the most part they are very good, PH dont seem to affect my levels the least bit, and when I go for blood work the doc says the AIC levels and other tests are very good. Now regarding AAS, I will have to monitor my levels very closely, when I start..
If any other bro's out there use AAS and are diabetic PM or post what you found..

Good that your on the pump, I would leave the basal rate alone while on and about a month after, but then you may have to adjust it. My nephew did a cycle while using the pump and said that he needed to lower the basal afterwards.

Good luck
