DHT Blocker for hair

This is a topic that I've seen some arguments over.

From what I've read, and I haven't researched this in a long time, but the last I did, from a scientific standpoint it shouldn't.

However, some people may say and argue that it does.

It is argued that Minox isn't even a DHT blocker, it works by increasing blood flow to the scalp, moving hairs into the anagen phase of the hair growth cycle. For actual DHT blockers it is hard to say, but I agree with SNS as I have used DHT blockers (fin/dut etc) and still made great gains and then more gains when using DHT based steroids... I think the main thing is to just be healthy (obvious) but drink lots of water, lots of good food, sunlight, exercise etc

I’d recommend using Regenpure DR shampoo and then apply Azelaic Acid topical gel (15%) in straight beads along scalp from hairline to back of crown across entire scalp area. Once applied, massage into scalp and then apply minoxidil 5% lotion via dropper in same direction as applying beads of azelaic acid to help it absorb through the scalp.

That’s the protocol I’ve used for the past 15 years and maintained most of my hair at the same density since then. Never used Finasteride or Dutersteride.

The gamble with Finasteride has never seemedworth it to me. Of course I'm a man with extremly too thick of hair who decides to maintain a bald head.

I always read that topical DHT blockers like Nizoral only act locally and not systematic, but that might not be the case for all compounds.
