My dhea sulfate was 200 and optimal was 500 on blood panel? I experience fatigue at times and generally my total test is 700+ naturally. Don’t take any anabilics.

Does low dhea cause tiredness, fatigue, lack of energy or motivation? I thought it was testosterone but it’s not.

Dhea seems on the low end every blood draw

44 year old healthy in shape male. So always curious and want to optimize health

Yes, low DHEA levels can cause fatigue, lack of motivation, and also lowered libido - even if testosterone levels are high. Don't get me wrong, other things could cause those things too, but being that your DHEA levels show on the low end on bloodwork, I think that's a reasonable place to start.

Most people, myself included, find that topical/td DHEA is a lot more effective for increasing and maintaining higher DHEA levels and that oral DHEA is more prone to inconsistent increases and fluctuations. For me, I noticed that oral DHEA makes me moody whereas td DHEA helps my mood and I in general feel better.

I use 1 ml of Xtreme Performance Gels DHEA-50 Gel which is 50 mg. per day.

DHEA-50 Gel:
If you decide to ty it this week, make sure to use the Memorial Day Sale discount code which is memorialday25

You could even start with a half pump (only pushing the dispenser down halfway) - I definitely wouldn't suggest anyone going higher than 50 mg. to start. I would go with either half a ml or 1 ml until your next bloodwork and see how your numbers are and also how you're feeling.

Ya it's definitely a possibility. Even on TRT some guys will get those symptoms and lose a lot of the TRT benefits because of low DHEA.

oral dhea was good for me around 50mg a day for enhanced mood/wellbeing, and even some slight increase in muscle fullness,,anything over 100mg gave me headaches from what i can remember

I would give topical dhea a try.
If your lacking, you will see a nice mood boost etc..after only a few days

Thoughts on sublingual dhea vs transdermal?
i tried a dhea cyclodextrin liquid from prototype nutrition at 50mg per dose, i really did not get much out of it. believe it or not the best results were plain dhea capsules from walmart or wegmans. sometimes the no name brands will surprise you.

Oral DHEA is just e2 in capsule form. Much better to go with transdermal DHEA

one of the major issues is that oral DHEA has a half life of less than 30 minutes - it causes a quick spike and then decays pretty rapidly.

One of the many benefits of transdermal is that it slow releases over anywhere from 8 to 12 hours...depending on the carrier. Sublingual DHEA will also just rapidly metabolize.

I'd really recommend Dermacrine - this is perfect because of the balance of DHEA and pregnenolone, and it also offers some other benefits with the Resveratrol and 7,8 benzoflavone to reduce added conversion to estrogen.
