For what it is worth, here are a few things that have helped pip for me. Massage the area for some time after the injection. I'm not talking about a long period of time, 5 minutes or so. Also, this may not be true, but I have found if I inject a muscle I am working that day, the site is less sore than normal. For example, if I am going to work legs, or even do deadlifts, glutes or quads. If I work chest, I will inject there.
