Deca

Well it does aromatize on two pathways I believe , estrogen and progesterone so i guess you could see some bad bloat if your sensitive. Anectdotally it does cause water retention especially in the joints

It aromatizes to estrogen at about 20% estimate of what test does..

"Biosynthesis of Estrogens, Gual C, Morato T, Hayano M, Gut M and Dorfman R. Endocrinology 71 (1962) 920-25"

It does convert into estradiol in the liver, that can account for the bloat.. I've seen guys run deca without bloat, no use of anti-e meds either.. It does have more progesterone/prolactin activity, in that case you should have Bromocrimptine handy..

Some people bloat very badly from Deca. in my experience, these are the individuals who tend to get the negative aspects of deca the most severely.

Good discussion:
Everything has already been said but thought I'd add my two cents. I never had a bloat problem with deca, but generally am lucky in not experiencing too many adverse effects with aas, and after reading this thread it just confirms what I always thought - everyone reacts differently to phs, aas, prescription meds, etc.

Nandrolone metabolites are also aldosterone agonists. And aldosterone has a strong function in the retention of sodium in the body. High sodium levels equal storage of water. I read this in bigcats steroid profiles so this is probably why people retain the water. Late J

Yeah I know some people that have taken deca and they both experienced some bloat and I couldn't figure out why. I did some research and found that info out and it made sense. Late J
