Age: 38

Weight: 188 (September 9, 2014)

I will be following the recommended dosage on the bottles: 2 pills of each with an empty stomach before my workouts on training days, and right when I wake on non-training days.

Package arrived yesterday and I started this morning. Only complaint in regards to the pills is that the Trien pills were broken apart. If you look closely, you can see that many of them are cracked, and tops broken off. The 4-andro were mostly intact.

I have 2 kids, both my wife and I work in a hospital, 12 hour shifts, and work opposite days, so I am unable to go to the gym, and haven't gone to a gym for quite some time. I have a pair of bowflex selecttech dumbbells that I use.
I do the P90x dvds that involve weights, with 1 plyometric workout added in during the week.
I do log my workouts on paper and will post up each workout, weights used, exercise, etc....

I eat approximately 2300 calories a day, 190 grams of protein, 225 carbs, and the rest from fat and fiber.
I track my calories/macros in myfitnesspal.

Questions, comments, critiques, and suggestions are welcome.

Personally, I like seeing progress pictures in logs. It's more or less a 4 week run of the main prohormones, so I figure I will give weekly updates to show what gains I am making

Only day 3 so not much to say I guess. Been taking as directed, diet is spot on, hitting all my macros and calorie goals, but that really isn't something I struggle with.
My workouts are being logged in the first few posts, but I am doing P90x, so I don't think strength increases are going to be something worth watching for. I'm sure I will have some, but I'm more interested to see if I get the lethargic feelings I have in the past when running these types of supplements and if that will affect the workouts that I do.

On a side note, for anyone that tans or spends a lot of time in the sun, be careful, I just got my biopsy back and have basal cell carcinoma for the 3rd time. I will have moh's surgery in about 10 days.
The attached pic was from about a year and a half ago. This was the 2nd time. The new one that I have is right next to the previous, so they say it will be a little more complicated this time due to scar tissue.
Sun screen people. Lol

SEPTEMBER 12
DAY 4

Plyometrics

Workout time: 44 minutes
Calories burned per HR monitor: 858
Average HR 163
Max HR 185

Because of my work schedule and my wife's work schedule this week, my plyometric workout landed the day after my leg workout. Needless to say, my quads, hamstrings, glutes, and calves were really sore today. Getting started with the plyo workout was rough at first, but my legs started to loosen up pretty quickly. It was still a struggle to get through the whole workout, but I managed.
I'm sure tomorrow is going to be fun walking and being on my feet all day.

Starting Monday, I will be back on my normal Workout schedule.

SEPTEMBER 13 (belated update)
Day 5

Cardio (Stairs)
Workout time: 38 minutes
Calories burned per HR monitor: 615

I work in a hospital that has 9 floors and when I have free time I am able to go walk the stairs and throughout the hospital itself.
Was pretty wiped out yesterday but still managed to get this workout in.
Have been having some GI distress since starting this cycle. Still have no problems making sure I'm hitting my daily macros.

Tomorrow is technically day 7, so I am going to update with a couple progress pictures.

3rd post updated with workout. Reps and weight went up in most exercises, but towards the end, my chest just started to give out and I lost a few reps from the prior week.

Can't really say I'm "feeling" anything. I don't feel any increase in aggression or libido. As stated in one of the earlier posts, with the type of workouts I'm doing, it's hard to say that I feel stronger either.
3 weeks left and looking forward to what's to come.

4th post updated with workout. Again, some weights increased, some bodyweight exercises had the total reps increase as well.

GI distress has been much worse over the last few days. Constant bloating, acid reflux, and just an overall upset stomach.

My overall energy levels have dropped as well. I feel more lethargy and seem to get winded much faster. Could easily be attributed to the stomach problems I'm experiencing.

5th post updated with workout. Again, same as before, some increases in weight used.

Weight is up, but I'm not looking as lean. Holding some water. Was 191 this morning.

Cardio has been little to none as of late as I've been pretty lethargic still. I have been having on again/off again GI distress as noted previously and with the bloat, cardio has become a little harder to do. I've cut back on certain foods that seem to aggravate my GERD, which has helped some.

A coworker is going to do a metabolic study on me to determine my REE and BMR so that should be interesting to see what those numbers are and if having them will be of benefit.

Haven't updated workout for yesterday, but it was horrible. I pushed through, but felt like stopping half way in to the workout. Feel like I have lost energy and my cardio threshold has diminished. By the end, I was nauseated and had to sit for almost 20 minutes before I even thought about having post workout shake.
Strength again increased on some movements, but I was getting such an immediate pump that a few exercises had to be stopped as I just couldn't get any more.

Post #3 updated with weight and reps for Sept 22nd. This was the day before my surgery.

This was the 3rd time I've had moh's surgery. The 1st 2 times didn't really bother me much. This time is different, partly because they couldn't close it up and now I have to go to a plastic surgeon for some skin grafts, but also because it's the 3rd time and I'm only 38 years old. It's not a major surgery by any means, but it takes a lot out of me, the sound of them cutting at the skin and tissue, the smell of them cauderizing, and just the drain of having my face cut into over and over.
Needless to say, i've been a bit depressed over the last couple days. I'm still working out, but my days are pretty blah. Besides the cancer, over the last year or so I've been diagnosed with an umbilical hernia, kidney stone, ulcer, inflammation of my stomach, and Barrett's esophagus.
I am going to continue to log, and I appreciate everyone that is following along

26 minutes of stairs today. Average HR 151, peak HR 185, calories burned 454.
Will update leg workout later today.

Appetite is ridiculous lol. All I want to do is eat. Maintaining calories where they should be, hitting macros, and pushing forward.

Weight was around 194 this morning. Holding some water, but feel fuller.

Posts 4 and 5 updated with workouts. Same as it's been lol. Some things go up, some things stay the same, and a few go down. I attribute that to me going harder when I start the workout and at times petering out a little, and others exercises I've got such a pump that I just cannot squeeze anymore out.
I will post my weekly pic today as well.
Side effects have been about the same. Will post final thoughts on all of that at the end.

Side note: Plastic surgeon consult tomorrow. Will see if they want to do skin grafts. Need to decide if that is worth it. May just let it heal on it's own and have an indentation in my face vs. having them take skin from somewhere else, then having 2 spots that need to heal.

chest and back right now. In the middle of workout. Post 3 will be updated shortly. Feel good though right now. HR is up more than usual and as I acknowledged in a previous post, I feel like I've lost some of my cardiovascular endurance. Getting winded much sooner than I had.

Post 3 updated with the workout I just completed. This workout was a day late, had orientation at school yesterday morning and had errands to run yesterday afternoon.
I just noticed that my calorie burn per my HR monitor was almost 100 more than it has been as well. Same workout time, but the calories burned is quite different.
Standing here drinking post workout shake and feeling quite bloated. That's definitely something that has increased since I started this log. Bloated almost daily. Doesn't matter what I eat. Only 1 week left though.

Woke up at 3 am this morning. Made myself get up for 20 minutes of cardio.
It's always been hard for me to work out so early in the morning at home. I used to go to a gym and slammed a Preworkout drink right when I woke up, then let that kick in on the drive. Waking up and not having a lot of time to really wake up to start a jog or some insanity dvds is brutal on me.

So Thursday I did cardio... I mowed the lawn. Some might not consider this cardio, or count it, but this is the type of mower I use.

I live in Florida, it's hot and humid right now and it's been raining non stop. My grass is thick and heavy.
It took me an hour and 7 minutes to mow the front and back. I more or less mow the lawn 1 and a half times as I'm having to go over the same spots sometimes two times.
My max heart rate way 194
Calories burned was 1431.

Felt like I was going to die lol

So I am unfortunately going to end this log. I ended up having surgery yesterday and it was a little more involved than anticipated.

Needless to say, I don't think I will be able to work out much for awhile.
I pretty much ran these supplements for the full 30 days and feel like I can give an accurate assessment of how they worked for me.
When I am able to sit down at a computer, I will give my full review.

Thanks

Alright, so it's taken me a bit longer to post my final review then I expected. Sorry about that. My face is healing, but may have an infection now as well. On antibiotics so hopefully it will knock it out.

Product Quality: 6/10 As was shown in pics in the first post, many of the pills were broken. Poor manufacturing for this many pills to be damaged.

Product effectiveness: 8/10 It was hard for me to gauge strength on these, but I definitely got stronger during my workouts and noticed improvements in many of the movements. I used DMZ a little over a year ago and that blew me up. I went from around 170 to 195 in 5 weeks. It was ridiculous. This took me from 188 to around 198 in 4 weeks. Definitely decent, but the feeling was MUCH different than DMZ.

Sides: 8/10 I was hoping that using non-methylated products, I wouldn't have any many sides, but that wasn't the case. Despite using TUDCA, Sam-E, and another liver support supplement, I still experienced elevated liver enzymes. I got severe GERD, food didn't feel like it was digesting and just sat in my stomach, nausea, and some pain to the right of my belly button. I was also experiencing a lot of lethargy which made it hard to push through my workouts. Having gone from working out as much as I was, doing the HIIT cardio workouts, etc., to feeling like I had lost as much energy I had was hard to take as well.

I can say I was pleased with the results, however for me, I won't be using any hormonal product again. For me the sides aren't worth the gains I'm making.
