So I finally got my ducks in a row to get back in the gym full-time and yesterday started with some DB bench presses. The issue I had was that it felt like my anterior delts were fatiguing before my chest was.
Today, my anterior delts are hit with DOMS and my chest not so much. I know DOMS is no huge indicator of anything but I do feel like mind-muscle connection is and I was squeezing the chest the best I could. I hear that expanding the chest slightly and tucking the elbows in at about 45 degrees helps but I was wondering if anyone else has any experience with this and their solution?
My goal is hypertrophy and not really too worried about strength so I'm trying to stimulate the chest as much as possible here for maximum growth.
Also, anyone routinely do squeeze presses? If so, what was your result?
Thanks.
